Well a tattoo is not permanent more like semi permanent it can goes away during life or you can get it lasers off but it take more than a day and black well come off easier but colors like red we’ll take more time cause of the Toxins in the paint it also have lead in the colors

I'm not anti-tattoo, but I think it's important to tell people that laser tattoo removal doesn't work equally well on all colors, or on all skin tones.

I got ink on both sides of my head, My neck, My arms, My arms, My hands, My nuckles, Theighs, Feet, Never had a hard time finding a job as a blue collar worker, I also never spent a lot of money on them because I would draw the art out and have a friend ink it on my body, Ya I get some interesting stares like I am the devil, But no one ever really says hateful shit too me at least not to my face at least.. I get more compliments if anything. Well what I am trying to get at is live your life the way you see fit, And respectfully dissreguard other people's shitty opinions on your own life, You should try it some time, It's called not giving a fuck.
Not to sound mean but Im just gonna point out that getting a job as a blue collar really isnt as hard as getting an office job, or any job where you represent a company when you have visible tatoos. Labour work is easy to get with/without tatoos so not only is your example anecdotal its not great either.

already got a tattoo nearly a year ago but this is a great video glad I considered all the points mentioned though. one thing I would recommend that no one ever Tells you is that you should wait a few months or years before getting a design done that way you'll be certain you'll still want it badly and you may just edit it slightly along the way until you're satisfied. took me 3 years before I got my first one. getting my second this year

I have had tatts for over 30 yrs now ...some are super faded and almost illegible so I decided to get them covered up with new ink ...I spent over 6 hours in the chair the other day getting a chest piece which turned out awesome ..... however , afterwards I got really sick and the reds in my new ink still burn like fire ... I did a bit of research into what might be happening and how it might be possible to get just the red ink lasered off . What I found is that most inks have heavy metals in them and that from the time the ink goes in your skin until the time you die your immune system is battling to break down the ink and remove it via the lymphatic system . That was enough to convince me they have to go .. I already have a problem with heavy metal toxicity ( I used to fillet Sashimi Tuna and sampled every fish I ever cut for quality ) and my spleen is running overtime and I'm pretty sure my ink aint helping matters ... so to add to your list @THESTYLEDOGG , if you have any form of problem with heavy metal toxicity ...I would probably think twice .... I love ink , and think it looks awesome ... but for me it aint worth it !

Hey Dogg - became a fan recently. I had a tattoo that I got over 20 years ago, and still kicking well, but now I'll be doing a cover up on it because I want to get something else on the same spot. Sometimes, a certain nobility of a style tattoo will last a few years and as many people like myself we would like to have something new on the same stop, and laser removal is not on our minds. However, today's tattoo artists are so talented that they do a heck of a job covering up tattoos. So the other reason I think people may not want to get a tattoo is, that the novelty of a certain tattoo might wore off, is not that one will regret that they have it, is that they want something else or different, will get "picky" later on, or not happy with it, or indifferent about it. If there are people that are like as such as part of their personality, then dont get a tattoo. Just throwing that comment out there.

Good for you! I have 2 at the moment and I will be getting 6 more. I get them because they all are meaningful and remind me everyday of what I have survived and that I have the strength to keep going. I will be getting a chest tattoo and I heard it's pretty painful I may ask for him to use numbing cream if not I'll suck it up, it's such a pretty piece and I'm excited!
Your tats are dope fam. I got neck hand and arm sleeves. If you don't have a good job then I wouldn't get visible ones like teh neck, hand, forearm. I have a good job that don't care about tattoos and will last for decades. People are afraid of me even though I have a space sleeve, a Japanese wind/water sleeve, and a Egyptian ankh with smoke on my neck. People will always have something to say about you and your life, but do what makes you happy. Be you. Make sure you go to a good artist, good work ain't cheap. Make sure its something that means alot to you and not something you'll regret. It took me months to get my arm sleeves done and I don't regret either. Nor my neck or any other place. I think research and thinking long and hard about what you're going to permanetly put on your body is really the most important thing about getting a tattoo

I really love tattoos, I respect most of them as works of art and I don’t judge people who get tattoos. But personally I don’t think they’re for me. I haven’t found anything that I could enjoy having for the rest of my life

Your comments are very sensible and well-intentioned advice for people to consider. I'm 'old-school' so tattoos would never be on my agenda. The proportion of likes to dislikes reflects that those who have or are going to get tattooed are more strongly opinionated than those against them...because if you not going to get tattoos then your not really bothered IMHO.

I think you forgot about the part that the ink has heavy metals like mercury, lead, aluminum, acrylics, plastics, BPA - all classified as cancer causing. You aren't supposed to donate blood for a year after getting a tattoo either, get it? Because they don't want your tainted blood.

I already have 1 tattoo which I got this past April and I love it. I want to get a full sleeve but I do not think I can pull it off and it will not look good on me. In a way the main reason is because tattoos in general are very expensive and I am not the type to have to go back for multiple sessions for 1 tattoo. It is a huge inconvience. I just want it to be a 1 and done thing in only 1 session. If that means I have to sit/lay there for 12 hours, so be it. Your tattoos are awesome I wish I could do those but like I said with the sleeve I am not sure I can pull it off and it might not look natural. I will make up my mind sooner rather then later though. The biggest deterrence is obviously price but I can put price aside. Since at times I have very little patience, multiple sessions could also be a bigger deterrence then the actual cost of the tattoo (sleeve).
Another point is their are addictive and you want more so you spend more. I can be tattooed all day i love the pain or feeling of it.
I love tattoos and I have six quite big tattoos... but the only thing that I´ve started to worry about getting more is that what if I happen to get melanoma, then I´m maybe not able to spot it because of the tattoos? I mean you can´t notice it because it may be under the tattoo ink...? I guess you just have to take that risk.

You will regret it terribly. It is unnecessary damage to your body.
Being a tattoo artist, we try to talk people out of getting huge tattoos in visible places as their first tattoo. We also will not tattoo hands or face/neck without a month waiting period unless you are already heavily tattooed because even though they are more common place doesn't mean jobs are happy with them.

1 more lesser talked about reason is that if you have dark colors in the tattoo you will feel the sun more on the dark parts of the tattoo than the lighter or non-tattooed parts of skin
sunblock and proper care can prevent this. It will eventually fade some even with proper care. You can get it touched up if you wanted(portrait tattoos fade the most and most quickly)

Most people get tattoo regret after they get a tattoo. There is no logical reason for a tattoo. There are other ways of making life meaningful without needing to permanent stain skin. Trying to make life meaningful by getting one or more tattoos shows an empty and barren life.
