The short fat ones like you ate are supposed to be eaten when firm. The taller pointy ones must be completely soft and almost mushy, and then they are amazing. But if they’re not all the way ripe they will pucker your mouth a LOT. There are also persimmons native to North America. They are much smaller, and also have to be soft to be good.

I’m so excited for you to do no added sugar for a month! You will be shocked at the difference it makes in your mental health, your body aches and pains, and your digestion! When I did it I remember thinking how dumb I had been for not doing it sooner. That all those drs that always told me that there wasn’t anything wrong with to cause my fatigue and other issues were right. I always thought no way doc, there has to be some mystery disease causing all of this. Nope, it was absolutely the sugar. When I go off on a bender now I can feel every bit of it. The headache, body aches, stomach issues, etc. I even feel depressed for a couple days after! It’s like a horrible hangover. You will feel so much better!

That’s more than likely a Fuyu persimmon and they are eaten when firm, more like an apple. The Hachiya variety are more oblong in shape and should be eaten when super soft and they are usually sweeter than Fuyu. My grandma grew them both growing up. We used to stick the Hachiya in the freezer when super soft and then cut the top off and scoop it out with a spoon.

About the echo: You could also hang up curtains on all of the walls. Curtains are a common tool in spaces where you practice theatre and singing. You could get sheer white ones that will look so dreamy with your fairy lights. Or if you paint the room, the curtains could still be sheer but in the same color as the walls of course. BTW doing yoga in dark rooms is such a vibe, love it so much. If I ever had the budget to have a yoga room, I would paint it a dark emerald green or dark blue, paired with a black ceiling and fairy lights strung across it.

Happy New Year Bea! I know everyone is different, and personally tracking food isn't something I've struggled with on my own but I find other people's tracking a bit more triggering. Could we maybe get a short mention of when the talk of tracking starts/finishes in future vids? Just so anyone who's struggling (esp this time of year) can skip ahead and keep watching the rest of the video :)

Happy New Year Bea! I love persimmon fruit, specially when they are firm. We call it caqui in portuguese :)

You always cook such nice things! Do you have a list of all your favorite dishes somewhere?
I'm a total beginner and the main reason is that I'm very much uninspired when comes to cooking.
