YOUR BRAND ISNT SHITTY!! It's realistic. thats what we love about your channel. Happy New Year Bea! ❤
Was going to say the same thing!! Positive self-talk only, please, Bea! It matters!
Exactly! I was going to say not shitty, it’s authentic/genuine/relatable!
Exactly!!!
I feel like that room needs a large tapestry on the wall (it works with the yoga vibe and helps with echo) and a tall(ish) plant in the corner. Bringing nature elements in is always good!
Hey so 10 is an even number. 5 isn’t the middle of 1-10 any more than 3 is the middle of 1-6
lmao you're right!!!
5.5 😂
Yes no logic , sorry stevie.
I yelled this during the video enough times that my husband looked at me funny 😂
With that logic I just see 3 and 4 as mid with a slight edge either way but still mid.
Thank you for sticking with posting and your hilarious and honest content.
Somatic therapy was one of my last steps in therapy to help me get over my trauma. It was wonderful. It's like yoga but other movements and stretches.
Same I found it and EMDR way more helpful than talk therapy
Congratulations on your 7 month anniversary! From what I’ve heard, he seems like a wildly supportive guy, and seems to have a similar sense of humor! 😊
Persimmons are a lot different when they are ripe and soft. They are super creamy and custurdy. Give them a try that way too! Happy New Year!!!🎉
Good to know! This was the first time I noticed them in the grocery store so I'll have to keep a look out for a ripe one:)
Exactly. Like vanilla custard ❤
But not the tall ones. Those are astringent.
I had one in my fruit bowl for 2 months, and it still tasted soapy. It was soft.
The short fat ones like you ate are supposed to be eaten when firm. The taller pointy ones must be completely soft and almost mushy, and then they are amazing. But if they’re not all the way ripe they will pucker your mouth a LOT. There are also persimmons native to North America. They are much smaller, and also have to be soft to be good.
Yeah, leave it on the counter until you think, oh no, i have to throw it away. It should be squishy when you pick it up.
That yoga room is so cute. The squishmallows and lights make it super inviting
An idea for the eggs that I've found is preheat the oven to 400 and place your pan in the oven with no lid. It won't burn to the bottom of the pan and your eggs will cook!
Yes! That's how we do it too. We like to add chickpeas and feta (I couldn't quite tell if B has those) and start it on the stove top, finish in the oven. Sooo good
I’m so excited for you to do no added sugar for a month! You will be shocked at the difference it makes in your mental health, your body aches and pains, and your digestion! When I did it I remember thinking how dumb I had been for not doing it sooner. That all those drs that always told me that there wasn’t anything wrong with to cause my fatigue and other issues were right. I always thought no way doc, there has to be some mystery disease causing all of this. Nope, it was absolutely the sugar. When I go off on a bender now I can feel every bit of it. The headache, body aches, stomach issues, etc. I even feel depressed for a couple days after! It’s like a horrible hangover. You will feel so much better!
I love shakshouka. It’s northern African/ Middle Eastern, so if you like it you might look into more recipes from the region to get similar flavors ❤
Thank you for spelling it so I can look up the recipe now!
Yes! And anyone who likes shakshouka (or taktouka in Morocco), they need to also try eggplant zaalouk and cauliflower zaalouk. So tasty!
I love shakshouka! Trader Joe’s sells a frozen shakshouka that you just add eggs to and it’s really good.
Do you have to use the cilantro? There are so many recipes I would love to try then it uses cilantro and I’m like well never mind. I loathe cilantro. I have that gene.
@@Droosmom1970I don’t think the cilantro is essential. It’s added on top at the end sometimes. You can just use parsley if you want, or just skip it if you don’t like the taste.
My sister and I use decimal points to rate something like my day was a 7.3 or a 4.3 it allows for more specific scoring.
Shacahoka is an Arabic/Turkish dish, It has different ways to be done, I love having with cream cheese and bread, next Arabic dish we want you to make is musqa or shawarma 🧚♀️
Can't wait to see what Bea is doin' today. Happy New Year !🎉
Same to you!
As a Tunisian im so proud that you’re trying north african dishes 😂❤
You should give couscous a try too
We have a lot of dishes that include eggs and different types of carbs and veggies.. my favorite part of our cuisine is the red sauce ofc
Hi Bea, i have been following your videos since day 1. I watched almost every single video of yours. You bring everyone on this channel so much joy just by being real.
Thank you 😊
Happy new year ❤
Persimmon probably wasn't ripe from the crunch sound :D It's supposed to be very sweet.
Happy New Year Bea! You are having such a great progress in so many ways, I really hope you give yourself a pat on the back for how much you have done and grown in the past year. It was so tough for you and you did amazing! Thank you for bringing us along in this journey, being so authentic and showing that progress is not linear and that is ok. And making us laugh all the way through!
That’s more than likely a Fuyu persimmon and they are eaten when firm, more like an apple. The Hachiya variety are more oblong in shape and should be eaten when super soft and they are usually sweeter than Fuyu. My grandma grew them both growing up. We used to stick the Hachiya in the freezer when super soft and then cut the top off and scoop it out with a spoon.
There’s a book called The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk that talks about how trauma presents itself in the body. I thought of that when you were talking about feeling a release after yoga. You might enjoy it!
Bea, the first few years I did yoga, I cried a lot as well. Don't know exactly why but I think it's important to release that stuff and yoga helped me a lot.
I discovered shakshuka a few years ago and I love it. The addition of chickpeas is really good (more protein hey). I really like using cumin and fennel seed in it- so good!
I love your videos that include food prep & cooking because it's always fresh food & looks so delicious. I love that you like eating fresh. I'm not a big onion fan but if i cook them down well & maybe go a little lighter on them, I might want to give that recipe a try. I also like one of the suggestions in the comments about adding chick peas, that sounds delish. Happy New Year. Good luck to all of us on weight loss this year!
Girl I cry during yoga all the time😂 For me, it's especially the hip release/psoas stretches you mentioned. I don't know how, but they work great for me if I need a good cry😅 SarahBeth has several free trauma yoga videos, and Adriene does as well (yoga for grief etc).
yoga makes me cry, too! if I stick to 10-20 minute routines, I'm usually okay, but those longer ones just hit me hard in the feelings.
also, I LOVE SarahBethYoga!!!
Happy New Year 🎊 🎉 Bea, Bae, and fur babies!! May your 2024 year be blessed and peaceful!
About the echo: You could also hang up curtains on all of the walls. Curtains are a common tool in spaces where you practice theatre and singing. You could get sheer white ones that will look so dreamy with your fairy lights. Or if you paint the room, the curtains could still be sheer but in the same color as the walls of course. BTW doing yoga in dark rooms is such a vibe, love it so much. If I ever had the budget to have a yoga room, I would paint it a dark emerald green or dark blue, paired with a black ceiling and fairy lights strung across it.
I've had the more mediterranean style of this dish with italian herbs. I'm game to try this north african version. 😊
Shakshouka is a North African/ Levantine dish. Fresh tomatoes are way better then canned also use aluminum foil in place of a lid. Enjoy!
been having a weird day, so glad you posted!! hope you're doing ok bea, and happy new year to you and your family!! 💛🦕
Happy new year to you too!! I hope your day gets less weird!
I love the room! With the squish mellows so cute!!
Happy New Year! I know these videos are a labor of love, as I'm sure it's hard to find the inspiration to film all the time, but I love watching your vids! It's like hanging out and catching up with a friend!
Congratulations on your 7th month anniversary ❤️ so good to see you find Yin Yoga (somatic yoga) it really is a beautiful practice. I am lucky enough to teach it here in Australia and its been such a healing practice in helping to unpack trauma and help my ADHD brain. Its a pure gift to share it with others and help them too 🙏🏻 thanks for your update Bea x good luck with the January no sugar challenge ✨
I love you , girl. Your youtube channel are keeping it real , its not shitty , its GREAT ❤
Happy New Year to you and Stevie and all the fur babies!!!
Happy new year, Bea! :) Thanks for the Shakshuka idea. I will definitely cook it myself. It looked absolutely delicious.
Happy New Year Bea! I enjoy every one of your videos!!
Persimmons are delicious when they look like they are ready to be tossed. Soft and ripe, super sweet - Happy new Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 🎉😊❤
Way to kick off the year Bea!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Happy New Year! So great to see your face the last few weeks. I have a prescription for Wegovy hoping to lose weight along with you once it’s finally still next month.
Happy new year to you and your family ❤❤
happy new yeaaar bea! 🎇💖💫 so excited for this years journey
Yayyyy, happy New Year, Bea!!! 🎊 Which yoga video were you watching? It looks like exactly what I've been looking for!
nah girl your brand is realistic and homey 😄 happy new years!
Homey! Or comforting is another word for it.
"Homely" means plain, maybe a bit drab or dull, regular, and is typically used to describe someone's looks/vibe. It's a fairly old-fashioned term
@@shannonceleste5557 OH?? what? i didnt know that. thank you for telling me.
I have learned about THE ultimate trick to not cry while chopping onions. I have put it to the test MULTIPLE times: take a good gulp of water, not a sip, a gulp, and hold it, without swallowing the water, while chopping. I know I thought it sounded ridiculous as well but it freakin works. This is my Happy New Year gift to you, cheers!!! 🍾🥂
Also, instant pot plus sushi bazooka = guaranteed delicious restaurant quality sushi that will NOT leave you hungry after, because you fill it yourself. Got the sushi bazooka for xmas and it's a game changer!
Love your videos! All the food looks so goooood ! Happy new year Bea, have a great 2024!
That's such a great January plan! I will join you. Thanks for the inspo and for the great content, i look forward to all your videos! X
Happy New Year B! If you liked shakshouka you should try it in breakfast taco form. They are my favorite thing. (Just stick those well seasoned egg bits in a white corn tortilla and sprinkle some feta on top) 😋
Hi Bea!!! Happy New Year 🎉 Saludos from West Texas ❤️
your brand is quirky realness and honesty, Thank you for the videos.
Happy new year Bea! I love the cute little potato figurine things, lol. So cute!
Happy New Year Bea!! 🥳🥳
Happy New Year!! Great srart to the New year!
Happy New Year 🎉🎉🎉
Great way to start off the New Year!! Team Bea all day 🎉
congrats on 7 months! love the little potato guys!
No added refined sugar is a great place to start! You got this! ❤
Thank you for making content. Your videos brighten my day. I hope 2024 brings you (and Steven) joy and contentment. . and tons of laughter.
I am reminded this is the channel for MD at 3:43 when Bea says spice up your life and I immediately start singing el Spice Girls exactly when she does
Happy New Year! ☺️
Happy New Year🎉😊❤ yay, its Bea!
for the yoga practice, i would definitely recommend doing a yin practice with affirmations!! specifically yoga with kassandra’s yin for grief. it’s a great practice for release
Happy New Year!🎉
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year, Bea!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Happy new year!
As someone who has gone no added sugar a few times, I encourage you to go longer than a month before assessing outcome. I have found that the first 3-4 weeks can be so miserable and it isn't until week 6 that I could tell much positive outcome. However, every person is different and maybe you will immediately see a positive outcome.
Happy New Year ❤
Hey a middle eastern here. Glad you enjoyed the shakshoka♥️
It’s pronounced shak-shou-ka
And we usually scramble the eggs and mix it with the tomatoes while cooking.
And sometimes I prefer it without the eggs 😂
Use green or black pepper it gives it a little spice
I’m so happy you said this. I don’t like my eggs to run AT ALL but I’ve really wanted to try this and didn’t want to ruin the recipe. Now I feel better about altering it a bit. 😅💕
For some reason after this video I really wanted Shakshouka. I made it before and I remember it was delicious. I decided to make it today for breakfast but this time I added smashed castleverano olives. Next time you make it, I highly recommend the olives. It was a DELICIOUS addition.
This video is great! cottage cheese with stuffs in it is my go to and it always includes radishes and old bay seasoning. I'm glad you're exploring trauma informed yoga. It can be such a great avenue for healing. And! Shukshuka is so yum
Happy New Year Bea! Never tried any of these things so here we go I have all the ingredients except for the one seasoning you showed. Tomorrow morning I am going in. No shitty brand with you. You make me laugh and cry and have fun. Thanks for the New Years vlog.
Happy New Year Bea!! 🎉 🦕 That yoga looked awesome! Can you mention or link which one you did?! ❤
And also the yoga mat!
I went looking for a link for this too. There’s so many out there, it’s a bit overwhelming to choose!
I’m here looking for the link too.
I love that you have Halloween and Christmas on the same couch!❤
My husband made shakshuka once and omg yes best breakfast ever 😍 Happy new year Bea! Looking forward to seeing what you do 🪩
Happy New Year to me! A Bea Vlog!
Happy new year! Looking forward to your content in 2024🌟💕
Good luck on no-added sugar for January! I have done it a few times and it is very hard when you realize sugars is in everything! So give yourself grace on the hard days. Meal prepping will help a lot.
Happy New Year, Bea and Stevie! Ive been eyeing persimmons for a while... Gonna give them a shot now :) i struggle with missing fruit during the winter (i dont like apples) so I end up eating primarily pomegranate. Maybe persimmon can be an addition!
What about citrus? They are best in the winter!
We love watching what you eat in a day!!
Happy New Year Bea! I know everyone is different, and personally tracking food isn't something I've struggled with on my own but I find other people's tracking a bit more triggering. Could we maybe get a short mention of when the talk of tracking starts/finishes in future vids? Just so anyone who's struggling (esp this time of year) can skip ahead and keep watching the rest of the video :)
Happy New Year!!
HNY!! :)
Happy New Year Bea! I love persimmon fruit, specially when they are firm. We call it caqui in portuguese :)
No added sugar that’s a great idea. I’m going to do it too thanks Bea ❤❤❤❤
I love persimmons sadly I am allergic... Hope you have a wonderful new year you got this!❤
Hi Bea, Happy New Year! 🎉 Would you mind telling me what yoga video you did during your vlog please? Thank you!
Looks delicious. Definitely going to try it.
I made Shakshouka tonight, and it came out so delicious. I had had it before, but never made it myself. it came out so good.
I love Huberman's podcasts. Very grounded in science, informative and helpful. He has a true heart for helping others.
I also started singing “spice up your life” lol. This is why I watch you!
Thank you for liking the radishes! I have liked those since I was a kid, and I still get weird reactions. So yumm
I was just thinkin, your squishy friends are a perfect addition to your yoga space!😊
You always cook such nice things! Do you have a list of all your favorite dishes somewhere?
I'm a total beginner and the main reason is that I'm very much uninspired when comes to cooking.
Bee I am so happy you are happy!
I love your videos. You are my favorite person on RUclips
