- Join Tyler as he talks about something that has plagued him for a long time... the fact that he hates fuzz pedals. Luckily, one tiny pedal has come along to change that.

I love how he says Rhett schull and shows a pic of Josh Scott from JHS lol.
I agree, not easy to find a Fuzz pedal that you like when most of them sound very different. I had 2 on my pedalboard but took the one off it that sounds like a swarm of bees and ripping velcro 😂
Have you tried the Pigtronix Octavia? Had your issue controlling my fuzz. The mix of drive and blend knobs has really helped me control the tone on it. It's pretty much my overdrive, fuzz and octafuzz I use now. As with a low drive and blend setting you can use the volume knob as a boost pedal and dial up just the drive you want without getting to fuzzy.
I have not, but have always been curious about the Pigtronix stuff. That feature set sounds super useful, I might have to give that one a spin. 🤔
@@tctrio it's worth it. There's also a low pass knob I hadn't mentioned which helps make the fuzz a bit less bright if needed, specially useful for the octafuzz setting.
It can also go up to 18v power. If you want to play with that as well. I've got it plugged to the 6 to 15 V output on the MXR power brick and its a little extra to play with.
I like those spitty tones in the end 😀👍
The Golden Fleece can indeed get a little spitty. Its spitty-ness has grown on me. 🐏
Man I was so bricked up before watching this... but after! My word I haven't literally shid bricks in years! Came out of me like spicy Cincinnati chili! ooooonweee my brown starish is angry as heck! But thank god for this video, my bunghole is feeling lose and easy breezy! Thanks Tyler
I can't choose between this and the germanium fuzz face mini
I've owned both, the Golden Fleece wins out IMO. The Germanium Fuzz Face mini was a more finicky with different guitars & amps than I would've preferred. The Golden Fleece works with anything.
@@tctrio I ended up buying both the Golden Fleece and the MXR Classic 108 Fuzz Mini, which is based off of the hendrix silicon fuzz face. They're both great and cover a lot of the same ground, but the MXR has more gain, whereas the Golden Fleece is more transparent and overdrive-like. Might have to keep both of them! The MXR is really versatile thanks to the buffer switch.
@@purrpocalypse Good pick up! I do like the MXR Classic 108, it's actually the fuzz from the throwback clip in the video. Can't go wrong with keeping both!
i’m a simple man, if you’re a guitar player and don’t like fuzz, I click don’t recommend channel
Dang, you’re gonna miss all the fuzzy goodness of the Golden Fleece in future videos. 😬
That's fine, we're all different. I can't stand blues and/or tube screamers. Shite.
I think your trying to use the Fuzz the wrong way. I think what you want is an overdrive. Its ok, most guitarists never learn how to use a fuzz. but they keep buying them.
I think it’s crazy that you believe there’s a wrong way to use fuzz. 💀
I've never heard of someone that hates or hated fuzz
Now you have. 🤝
Nevera play a fuzz into a clean amp. The same goes for overdrive and distorsión.
Never heard a worse take in my entire life.
Who buys amps that break up nowadays?
