Not much time for the pumpkins since summer began this year, been neglecting the pumpkins spending lots a time on the lake with the kids, while I love my crazy hobby, to me it’s just a hobby, my girls are 1st priority for me. Good luck this year seems like you got some nice Kins again this year!
Great looking patch man! Ya love to see it! Question though....how do you go about removing the weeds between the vines without messing up the leaves? Looks like you have about 16 inches between them. On my plants I couldn't get in there without accidentally snapping or ripping one.
Slowly and carefully, checking every step moving every leaf one at a time carefully. If your lucky the leaves will be slightly taller and you can lay down or crawl on your hands and knees under the canopy. It’s not easy.
You mentioned near the end of the video that keeping your patch weed-free would help keep the vines from rotting out - what did you mean by that? Could you please elaborate? I'm currently trying to grow giant pumpkins in my back yard, unavoidably on the lawn. The weeds and grass has really cropped up since, and I'm concerned about the health of some of the plants. Any words of wisdom are welcome. Thank you!
Looking good!!

Absolutely amazing Ben. I knew once a good grower got their hands on the 1783 they were going to grow something truly special.
A good grower grew one last year, some Hatton guy…..
@@McMillinGiants I was only good with your guidance. Plus that good ole wild fire smoke acted like a natural shade cloth.
Looking good Ben
Thanks, and also thanks again for that super cool PumpkinMania shirt!
What a year you are on! 6000 pound club? More? Good stuff Ben.
