    I'm at my day 3 in TSW RSS, thanks for your vids because it inspires me to continue and not to go back on steroids anymore.
    My first flare up was on 2015 and it clear up really fast because of prednisone. But now it came back alot worse, the only area that is not affected is my face and now I'm determined to cut off steroids forever.
    I'm done winning the battle.
    I want to win this war! 😍

    I've just sat here and binge watched your journey as I've just began my own 2 weeks ago and it's been a struggle so far but you've motivated to chuck my creams in the bin just so I have no excuse to go back to them! Your comment you made about your doctor just offering steriod creams as a solution happened to me and it incredibly infuriating but it taught me a lesson that these people haven't go a clue. I have just started my journey and your videos have been such a comfort to me! I watch your most recent videos and then after I watch the ones when your skin was at its worst just to remind myself that you went through the worst too and you survived and that I can too! I was wondering how did you do in the coldest months? I live in Northern Ireland and that's one thing thats a struggle it's always freezing here and it's hard to cover your face haha Congratulations girl on a year TSW! ❤️

      Hi! Honestly I don't really know how I'm going to cope with the cold. Obviously when I started withdrawal, it was cold but I had so much time off work I rarely left the house.
      I wore a lot of jumpers with scarves... which is good for hiding BUT the flakes that would collect in the scarf is not nice lol n turning my head u could hear the scraping of the flakes lol
      I guess I always brought my aquaphor with me wherever I went. N try not to sit by a heater it just dries up ur skin for no reason.
      Sorry for the late reply x

    The same thing for me with the sickness!! I wasn't sick for an entire year and then it came at about a year and of course it started freaking me out because I felt like it was the beginning of a flare. Maybe not related, but I did get into a "flare" very very similar to yours as you described in your next videos. It's so cool seeing someone who totally went through such a similar experience to me! even the chapstick and everything

    Im so happy for you Zainab :). you've inspired and taught me so much. When my small eczema spot spreader all over my body I knew I wasn't crazy, TS was making it worst. When I got off of them it was horrible and I didn't have answers to questions I didn't have. You were the first video I saw when I started researching. Although I was only on TS for about two and a half months and my TSW journey is about 75 percent healed in the 3rd month, your videos was so freaking me all the way. You provided me with so much comfort Zainab and I am thankful you. Hello there, I found your channel after seeing your comment under Rob's video about TSW. I have eczema on my face/scalp as well.. I was wondering how could you recognize TSW vs regular flare up? And did you just wait for 12month for it to disappear with time, or did you adopted a particular diet etc as Rob recommand it?
    I wish you all the best in life, and thank you for your testimonial. You know how much stuff like this is important for us skin sufferers.. I'm month 4 of my recovering journey and (I think) TSW withdrawal. Ps : I apologize for the bad English, I'm not a nativ

    • @iambeezee
      @iambeezee  5 лет назад

      I didnt change my diet at all during withdrawal, so although Rob says that diet is the cure, im not sure that is the same for everyone - especially diet was never the cause of the eczema in the first place.
      For me the cause was steroid addiction. I could tell it was withdrawal rather than a flare because of the timing. One day after not using the cream my skin was red sore and itchy. It wasnt a coincidence.
      Anything to notice is that withdrawal is very extreme. The skin starts to weep a clear/yellow fluid that smells. The skin turns a bright red even when its not been scratched. It looks permanantly flushed. The skin sheds non stop. The skin literally flakes off to the touch. And it is weirdly dry. Even after moisturising the skin is a dry/plasticky texture. And this can be all over the body, not just usual eczema areas.
      Flares come and go but withdrawal it stays for months and theres rarely a break.
      After i stopped it took about 6 months for my face to get to some sort of normal. Dealt with shedding, oozing and red skin all the way through. As time went on the symptoms faded

    • @thorvald7347
      @thorvald7347 5 лет назад

      @@iambeezee Thanks for the answer Zainad. I appreciate it. I used to use steroid cream usually on my face, and for a 2years period but not constant. Like 3 weeks non stop then 1month out then 2weeks etc.. When I stopped using it, I had flare up but just like really REALLY red spot on my face but that was all. Then it went really better for some weeks. Then, 2 month after I stopped, it started to get fucked up like really red + so much dead skin everywhere and it literally grow more than the usual red sport on my face. Since that day (September) it is flare up all the time, with few lucky day of rest. But always only red skin + dead/tugging skin. No itching, or not so much but it never itched that much anyway. It is the constant state of my skin that make me think about TSW, but there is nothing smelly or so that leak from my skin. But my skin is always like that, no recovery nothing. Do you think it is TSW? If it was not, it should be good sometime and bad during flare up but not 100%bad always right?

    • @iambeezee
      @iambeezee  5 лет назад

      @@thorvald7347 the red skin is a sign pf TSW. Steroids make ur blood vessels constrict to reduce inflammation and redness of an eczema rash. After long term use, ur body can't regulate these nlood vessels due to steroid overuse. That's why the skin stays red - the vessels are constantly open
      That's the theory behind it anyway. Going through tsw not everyone will display all the symptoms, maybe a few.
      I suggest u watch videos by Doctor Rappaport. He describes the condition so well

      I don't have eczema but suffer from another autoimmune skin condition. What's helped me a lot is to eat a low inflammatory diet with lots of greens. Many functional doctors recommend this. I cut out gluten and dairy completely, eat very little sugar. Most importantly I try to eat 600 g vegetables, many of which are leafy greens. It's so difficult but worth it. Vegetables are healing.
