I 100% agree with Alton towers being the best, like even if you’re going for the 100th time, it still has a feel to it that you can’t exactly explain. Everything about the park is immaculate and it’s so interesting to delve into the stories the park holds too (to anyone who doesn’t know the rides have lore, start with the smilers lore cause it’s super cool)

It's set in the beautiful countryside of the Staffordshire Moorlands plus everything else you've mentioned in this video. I have multiple favourites, Thorpe park, only because of flying fish and flamingo land because of hero… if you make a top 100 coasters then you should put flying fish at the top

I have my own opinion, if I may. And before anyone hoists me by my own petard, I actually think Alton is a decent place. I just think some things would make it even better, especially if the goal would be to be more competitive for the future. To improve Alton: 1) pushcarts. It would be a great addition to have little carts or foodtrucks or something like those on really hot days where nobody wants to schlep much of anywhere for a soda or something cool to drink. Snacks would also be good, too. Why the hell not? It would even improve congestion come the lunchtime crush and offer grab and go options. (I am writing this in October. Imagine a little pushcart that sold toffee apples for Halloween/Bonfire Night. Om nom nom nom....) 2. Eventually the local law is going to have to be shattered, the one that restricts the height on roller coasters. One of the tallest on the planet is already 139 m tall and tallest coaster in the UK is about half that. The fastest one can do speeds close to a locomotive. [Ducking behind a hedge, hoping nobody throws the torches and pitchforks] Hey, look, I am not saying anything for the sake of being a dick. But a LOT had changed since the Big One at Blackpool was built. The rides that have been built are several servings of awesome sauce, but in the long run, I worry. You cannot keep squishing down the coasters forever when there are RMC hybrids whoomping around, single track coasters that look like they glide on a giant spaghetti noodle, and when faster, higher, and bigger has been the rule for almost a hundred years: the Grand Natl at Blackpool looks like a dwarf compared to what some coasters in Germany look like. California alone has an amusement park with about 20 roller coasters in it. Veinte. XX. Australia can get away with being open for business nigh year round. Alton cannot afford to get left behind long term, with or without the current international economic shitstorm. The local villages may yet have to swallow the bitter pill that they are owed respect, yes, but it is unwise to be delusional when you sit next door to an amusement park and expect to hear silence and see nada. 3. Dark rides. An HG Wells alien ride...that would get people's attention....Something based on Goldilocks for the youngsters where the floor drops out and you have to get away from the Three Bears....Hmm, a simulator ride done well could make you meet Morgan Le Fay...there are possibilities so long as you find a good storyteller. 4. Buy land for the future with an eye towards expansion, just in case. Bonus: If Alton does not get an RMC hybrid, the powers that be must be nagged to death!! People should stand outside with signs: "WE DON'T WANT [NAME OF RIDE]! GIVE US WHAT WE HAVE BEEN PRAYING FOR! DOWN WITH DINKY RIDES! WE WANT A FRIGGIN' COMET!!"
love going there but it's 4 hours away from me, that's 1/3 of the whole day just driving there and back, mainly just go to thorpe Park an hour away instead 😩
Thorpe park looks like an AMAZING theme park but I actually haven’t been there nor black pool pleasure beach! I’ve just been to chessington, where’s a good place to go next?! PS. Alton Towers is the best in the UK, and a very special park. I think Rita plays a massive part due to how intense and fast it is. Th13teenbfollowed behind, even more intense than Rita, it’s too intense for me.
Stealth at Thorpe park is much faster and has the height aspect with it. Thorpe park has better rides overall and they are not spread so far apart that you are forced to follow a plan, you can go to the ride with the shortest queue and track the queue times with the App. 2 days at Thorpe park I rode every coaster 7-8 times or more. The same time at Alton Towers you might get to ride everything twice.
After recently coming back from my first trip to Thorpe Park in 9 years , Alton towers is definitely much much better as a park but Merlin need to behave with the £9.50 for a rollover hotdog and drink..
Clearly the best park (he says with a profile pic stood in front if Stealth) because it's a coaster heavy park. AT don't want a lot of flat rides, it's their MO. Flat rides are just nausea inducing borefests anyway.

Rita has a better launch than 13 lol it’s just a bit jolty and brief. Lets say they converted it into a multi launch intamin blitz, that would just be a longer version, and it is ironic that oblivion is faster, but Rita has a huge kick

Thorpe Park is awesome! Flamingo land is decent as well but not in the same league as Thorpe Park, Alton Towers and Pleasure Beach.
