Yes, there were a lot of Reggae artists, but Bob Marley opened Reggae and Jamaica to the World. His music was a message for then and now. May his soul rest in peace.
My family and I went on this tour six years ago. It was an honor and privilege to visit the birth and resting place of the giant of a human being we all know as Bob Marley!! “The stone that the builder refused will always be the head cornerstone!” Long live Bob Marley!!
Respect Ace you truly came and lived as a Jamaican. History has Haitians and Jamaicans as the freedom fighters. I’m Jamaican but my great great grandfather came from Haiti 🇭🇹 so bless up.
The great Bob Marley deserves a public holiday in his honor for his efforts towards freedom, his contribution to the international music industry and more.
No one like Bob Ace. I admire him. I remember as a child him walking on first street playing football at the park on West Road and First Street in Trench Town. He help so many people. He never embrace the celebrity craziness. My Hero Ace. His memory will forever live on. They thought they silence him but the opposite happen. Thank you for this video ACE. 👍
Peter tosh was a star too, his musics too have powerful messages too, is just because people haven't seat down to listen to what he was saying. If I was a rich guy I would also assist to promote Peter tosh .
Bob Marley's impact on the World was not determined by how long he lived, he was born a Legend ... Jamaica to the world, thank you for visiting Jamrock!!!!!
You can see Cuba 🇨🇺 from “Mobay” 🇯🇲Blessings and one love 🙏 As an Haitian 🇭🇹 you’re a neighbour, a forgotten brother not a foreigner. Blessings and one love 🇨🇺🇯🇲🇭🇹🙏
Every parish in Jamaica has its own history, when your in Kingston its more of a party style plus work ,so the streets of Kingston is always busy but when you visit the north coast its a different lifestyle, You put those two together and there you have this beautiful island of Jamaica, We have our problem has do many countries but that don't take away from the fact that this island is special
Not really Rohan, Kingston it's not really Party, it has very strong history and historical areas, it's because the violence are very dense &Tourists are encouraged to stay away from Kingston. 🇯🇲 advertise the resort more than the history. Thanks Ace. It's a shame 🇯🇲cans r not advertising their Island.
Ace i was born in Jamaica and I have 7 brothers and none of the 7 smoked i also as 7 sisters and they didn’t smoke either so not all Jamaican smoke weed 👍
ACE there is so much more for you to learn about Bob Marley, I am from St. Ann, I went home one year in the late 80's and took my Parents to Bob Marleys house where he was born, just the little house and his relatives were there, my parents did not realized that Rasta was real People. I will never forget that day they cooked for us and I watched my parents enjoyed what the Rasta Man cooked. They told me many thanks for the enlightening of the Rastafarians. So from that day my father called me his Star. Then I took my Husband to meet Bob Marley when he came to San Diego. What a beautiful world and beautiful people we all are. Bless Up Yu Self.
Much speculation about Bob's death... Solves nothing. Let's celebrate his accomplishments. He is a huge part of our history and helped put us on the map. We are him and MUCH more! So much to celebrate about our peoples ("Out of many...) and our nation. Thanks, Ace! Love you openness to embracing many cultures.🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲❤️ Side note: Only a small minority of Jamaicans smoke ganja. It's a misnomer that the majority of us smoke. Lol😀
Hey Ace. I live in Wilmington, Delaware near Bob Marley's house. He lived here back in the days. His family still owns the property here. It's fixed up like a memorial to him. I heard he came here while on the run from the gov't. There is a big history behind it.
It's SO beautiful there! And his grave is immaculately designed!! I was so happy walking up that hill and to be next to where he was buried was such a great life experience. I will go back next time I'm there!!
Hi Ace. Excellent video.! That tour of Bob Marley's house, as well as all the information and talk with the guide, was very interesting. That's right, Bob Marley's music is heard in Mexico, his reggae music will live here and throughout the world forever. Greetings and a hug from Mexico. 😜✌️
Thanks for the highlights Ace, you are doing an awesome job of showing the positive side of Jamaica 🇯🇲, land of my birth but as you may know by now, Cuba is now my favorite island.
WOW. Look at beautiful 9 miles in st. Ann's. Jamaica West Indies. Very beautiful place. Thank you for the tour. I was born and raised in CLARENDON. And is the first I saw where, The great Nestabob. Was from/born. Thank you Sir. Bless up to all my palmers over there. Big up to the tour guide, and just about everyone there. And those home and abroad.
That cake is so potent! I made a mistake of eating the whole slice too fast smh. I thought for sure I was going to heaven that day because I was sooooo high. The tour itself was such a great and humble experience!
I went to 9 mile when I was there , the guy who gave you the straw and lit your shot was my tour guide . The tour definitely was a highlight of my trip. 🇯🇲
I myself was born in February 6, 1993 in Jamaica in the next parish over from St Ann, which is St Mary. I always enjoy your videos. Especially the ones about Haiti. Blessings and love for you
Great video. I felt like I was there while watching. Bob Marley’s home looked so beautiful and tranquil and nice that they made it fun too. Really enjoyed the conversation on the bus giving the perspective of a Jamaican on Bob Marley’s life and influence on Jamaica and the world. Thanks for sharing this.❤
went there in 2021 it was very nice to see Bob Marley history. The tour guy with the dread lock is very funny, when I tried to touch his bed he told me you wanna be pregnant he had 12 kids lol. Everyone was so nice we tipped him $20. there was a band playing Bob song in the back. I has a cup of tea with some weed in it
I just SUBSCRIBED. I'm in FL & found your channel waiting for Hurricane Ian to come through. I LOVE your channel the Hatian Fort was truly a lesson, tganks for the knowledge too!!!
so I visited this just a few years after Bob's death and it was a totally different place then - it is a shame to see how commercialised the placed has been made - we were not charged to visit the home but left a donation to the village / Hamlet. It was nice to have seen the area as it was so soon after we lost Bob, to have seen the Hamlet just as it was and not what it has become for tourists.
Yeah the wall was put up so people can have peace on the tour. There Was a couple that was on the tour with us that drove there by themselves. Although there wasn't a lot of people there it was because of what happened in 2020 everything kind of slowed down but things are slowly getting better again. In previous reviews prior to visiting the tour I did read a lot of people saying that it was not wise to go there without a tour guide because sometimes people can get aggressive. Which explains the wall. But I do agree your experience seems to be way better cause the wall can be distracting but it is necessary. But I want you to understand once you pass those doors where you stop filling about filming things change drastically but that's an experience I can't share you have to see it for yourself.
That’s great to take time and show the people that where, everything got started ,very fresh and beautiful places. Bod Marley was and a great men-of music.
May I humbly suggest the Bob Marley Museum in Kingston as a better alternative to 9 Mile. I have taken guests many times to 9 Mile , and to be honest , it's a clown show. "Owned by Bob Marley's brother" - I won't even mention him. The museum gives a much better presentation of Hon. Robert Marley OM 's work, journey as a Pan African, and Rastafari rebel with a cause. I speak as a Jamaican who saw Hon. Robert Marley perform 3 times. Rastafari Emperor Haile Selassie I No apology Give thanks for this video
Thanks for the tour. I would suggest that you also check out Peter Tosh's catalouge of music which was also known around the world. He was also felt to be even more radical than Bob Marley.
Good to see you make that journey to BobMarley estate you should go to Tuff Gong studio. but there are many reggae Artist like Dennis Brown ,Gregory Issac, Sly and Robbie, Bunny wailer who just pass away this year.Garnet Silk ,Burning Spear, Jocob Miller, Lee scratch Perry ,Buju Banton and many more.
👑 Bob Marley was a prophet sent from the most high to enlighten the people in righteousness 😢, he was like Christ who also came with a message that the rulers were not comfortable with, for he would of enlightenment the people, but this would of caused a problem for the elite who wanted to have power over the people and did not want the people to rise up. All Jamaicans should be listening to Bobs words today and make Jamaica a better place. EMANCIPATE YOURSELF FROM MENTAL SLAVERY ♥️ Wake Up Jamaica 🇯🇲 ♥️🙏🏽
Awesome vlog. I loved it now I wanna take a trip to Jamaica and visit Bob's home. What the gentleman was saying about the Rasta culture is very true. Go to the rasta man or Woman and they have the natural herbs to heal you and they do not eat meat. I grew up with Bob Marleys music as a child, I was born after he died ('82 baby) but my father always played his music. Thanks for sharing 🇻🇮 hope you get to visit the U.S.V.I
Brilliant professionally created video Ace it shows Jamaican history in a beautiful and creative way I miss my country so much after watching your video as a result I am booking my trip stay blessed Ace.
I never knew Bob Marley passed from cancer. I'm in my 50s and you just gave me proper information. Thank you!! We are all blessed to experience the music and path he made.

Check out chronixx !! Some say he’s the new age Bob Marley!! Koffee is also putting/has put Morden reggae on the map as well !! And lots more like jah cure , Richie spice , gyptian etc !! And ofc men like garnet silk , berres , Peter tosh , Glen Washington, barington levi, sizzla from the more upcoming era around Bob time !! Very cool video I’ve never really seen any one did a Bob Marley tour in Jamaica mostly it’s just about the beaches, waterfalls , food and other cultures in Jamaica! 🇹🇹🏴 blessings ❤️ 💛 💚 🦁
Cool video.really liked that ..also.. just in case ya like to know..The wailers wasn't the band ..the band was basically the upsetters...Lee scratch perry's band ...the wailers was Bob bunny Rita Peter and Jr...they was a singing group that sung over a studios house musicians....I think that is what made those early 60s records so great..the singing was rehearsed on the streets then if a studio liked it and ya got lucky they would put ya on a track.normally pre recorded ....etc..when Bob got signed to island records in England..they pushed the Bob marley and the wailers bit ..to make it seem more excessable to the college students and rock fans ...I love later bob tunes. but the wailers to me will always be Peter bunny n Bob .that harmony section ..unstoppable..the gladiator's and wailing souls got very close .amazing vocals..but Bob bunny Peter together..beautiful
One day Lord willing I will be able to visit the site myself. I cry when I think of how I could have met him after college. The song I sang while in school so long I didn't know he & the Wailers sang. Thanks for the video he is still truly admired, & thought of so highly. Jah love. We must remember the Lord God Almighty controls our being. And all are here in our own time, by His command! We have to be taught & learn the truth of God, obey His commands, & only then will we know why we are on this earth. I believe Bob N. Marley knew. Stay safe, stay blessed!

One of 2 places I always go to whenever I'm in Jamaica: Bob Marley Museum and the Bob Marley Mausoleum. 7 trips, 7 visits.
Bob Marley released so many songs in his short life. He had so many hits songs and to think he died at only 36 years old, very young
Marcus fu I wonder what would he say if he were alive today.
Nice. It’s true Bob Marley is the most recognized person in Jamaica for outsiders.

The bush doctor was a real prophet . One of the first artist to embrace weed legalization .
You have heard him you just did not realize
It's crazy to think he buried where he was born. Went all over the world and came back to where he was from.
