Your amount of forethought is really inspiring. Wish I had done more of it during my stages of floorpan and DSE tub install. Looking forward to seeing how it all comes together for you!
You're definitely NUTS! But, you're also very methodical. Doing all this work outside the car is certainly easier. I like your approach to the Quadralink install. Check the fitment between the mini tub and the outer wheelhouse. Mine was a little gappy. Cheers man!
Thanks. There will be plenty of time for Camaro yoga in the future, but for now, I sure do appreciate the easy access. Will see how it all shakes out! Thanks for sharing.
Definitely alot easier with pan out car. I finished installation on 69 back in Dec. I really liked how the trunk exhaust closeouts are basically a huge gusset. It's for making room for 3" exhaust but it really stiffens that back part of car (very much needed) when you weld it to frame rail and crossmember.
It should work, definitely much easier with the floors out of the car. That radius on the back edge of the mini tubs might not even match the one in the floor, but you will be able to fabricate it easier the way you are doing it. Good luck, you seem to think through everything thoroughly, so you should be fine.
Yeah good point. Will need to compare the radius on the template to the stock profile. If similar = great. If not then a moot point. Thanks for the feedback… Much appreciated! 👍
Needles to say, because I think you already know, is that because the mating line between trunk pan and the back of the floor pan is so diminutive due to the DS crossmember, you have little visible reference as to well they meet up. My point is that all the pieces need to be 3-dimenionally reference to an absolute datum. That being said, considering your kickass frame jig, I think you've got that covered. Nice work! Can't wait to see you pull it off! Show some welding!
Thanks for the feedback. Agree. Trunk pan will need to be referenced well on frame rails an cross member too. Will be taking it slow. Need to show more and talk less - more welding to come. 👍 Thanks for comments.
from what you're saying, it sure shouldn't affect anything by separating the trunk pan , and by cutting out the pan's tub contour, it will sure ease the mini tub installation ,and fit that pan section to it without mod , if it has the same matching curve 👍
The DSE coil over cross member gets located off measurements from the tail panel. That cross member ties into your rear frame rails. Locating your swivel links will be your challenge if you don’t have existing spring perches but I’m sure you could locate based off some measurements. Just thinking out loud??? 👍

Thanks Charlie! I appreciate the comment. I’m inspired by the fear of “F-ing” up. lol 😂
Thank you for sharing. Very much enjoy this Camaro build.👍👀
It looks pretty good, sounds like u have a good plan, go with it man.
Thanks. Appreciate it. 👍

Awesome! Thanks for commenting (and watching). Looking forward to getting things firmed up back there. 👍

@@ParadiseBayCustoms you could compare but don't trust the template, as you've seen with Elrod's garage cut fit.
@@dayslife Good point. 👍
what if the car has been backhalfed and the stock floor is gone??
