Schoenberg’s Violin Concerto sounds as fresh and dynamic as it must have sounded in those ‘dark’ and ‘foreboding’ years of the mid 1930’s. As aesthetically relevant now as it was then. A profoundly ‘felt’ work of art. Melvin (Composer).
@@noahmayerspore3764 Thanks for bringing this to my attention. It seems that (probably like a lot of other people because this video should have way more views) I never thought this was a score video due to the thumbnail. Now I'm not sure if I should keep my version (at least it's not the same interpretation). Maybe Mr. Goza could change the thumbnail of his video? If he does I could remove mine.
@@unpetitabreuvoir I think it's great to have more than one. This piece is big enough! And yes, someone should advise that gentleman, as I had no idea it was a score video.
@@unpetitabreuvoir Please do keep it! Unlike the video linked by the other commenter, this video: 1) immediately begins playing the concerto with the score on the screen 2) shows up very high on the list when I search "Schoenberg violin concerto 3) is clearly, concisely, and more formally titled P.s. Many people bookmark or download RUclips videos - particularly music recordings - so it makes sense that it hasn't caught on right away. Give it a little time and it should catch on quite soon! :)

No problem. Do some research, read about the composer and the work. It may help. But if you grew up with only pop/hip hop/drum&bass etc. , than this music will be difficult to understand. Anyway, it is easy to live a good and meaningful life without Schoenbergs music.
This is actually truamatizing to listen to
😀
Dziękuję Tobie bardzo pięknie to opracowałeś moje ulubione nagranie mojego ulubionego koncertu skrzypcowego😘
Thank you so much for including the orchestral score!

One of my favorite violin concertos 👏🏼
Probably the only violin concerto beyond the Classical period that I can play without any major issues.
lmao
Fuck you mean????
You must be an incredible violinist
Yay! I was thinking about doing the full score cause I couldn't find it, thanks for this!
This one has been hiding in plain sight: ruclips.net/video/HlJ1Iv85ZMQ/видео.html

I don't play the violin, but I hear this violin concerto is the hardest.
Not that hard. Just different

Am I hearing the same song everyone in this comment section is hearing? Everybody says it’s beautiful. I don’t get it

I agree that you do need a level of background musical knowledge in order to fully appreciate Schoenberg's intent.
"Beautiful" is the wrong word, maybe, but I do rather like it. It's cool and is quite expressive
At 20:52, bar 482, the D played by the 2nd viola should be Db I believe
