In the Tacoma, there is a front rail. I use a strap to each side of the handlebar to a tie down on the rail and nose the front tire into the front of the bed like you haul a motorcycle. I have carried two road bikes thousands of miles without a problem. Cheap, easy, dependable. I have noticed the Ford Maverick has no front rail. Any other hacks?
I imagine that that if you turn your front wheel side ways, either with the bike forward or sitting backwards in the bed. The tail gate could be closed on shorter bed trucks, ie 6' or shorter. Can this clamping system be used to hold the front turned sideways wheel?
Outstanding! Great for the minimalist. (Me) I have a bed rail Tacoma, same as yours. This device would be perfect for my fat tire e-bike. Yes? Also curious to know if these work, one on either side of the truck bed, fr/rr, for a diagonally placed bike.
if I have a truck bed liner already installed which model would be best for me to order. I like the small size. Also, they come in a set of two or do you have to order individually, or two for each bike?
If you have a C channel install on your truck go that route. If not the standard bed mount option will work. You get two in the package. I use one per bike unless it is a heavier ebike then I use two per bike.
Thanks Mike. Do you, or anyone else here know if this will fit the 2023 Tacoma 5' bed? I have the folding Tonneau cover, and wonder if the RT202 will fit the Tonneau C channel, if I fold the cover up and leave the tailgate down. Thank you. Paul
I have a tailgate pad and sometimes when it’s high wind or I take a sharp turn by bike moves, would this work with a bike hanging off the pad as an extra point to hold the bike in place?
This is Amazing!!! Can you post a link of where to get that specific C Channel size, or, did you just bought random and cut to bed size? Would you resume install details or did it came pre-installed on your truck? Thanks in advance.
Ah, it costs $180!!?? I had to do a double-take when I looked up the Amazon listing. I thought that I was looking at the wrong product. I could by a motorcycle bike rack from Harbor Freight, that supports 400 lbs., and it would cost less than this thing does.
Did you pick up one of these racks after watching this video? If so let me know by replying to this comment.
This is one of the most ingenious things I've seen. I need this.
will it work if you have bed cover installed, but folded (opened)

Yes you can do that. I have done that a few times when I had no other option
Outstanding!

It would definitely work for your e-bike. It might work diagonally.
How will this item work with an ebike since its a heavier bike? Thanks for the video.
I use it with my ebikes with no issues.
this is exaclty what i've been looking for to haul my bike in my tacoma!
Its nice... but I really wish someone would show me a few options for the back of a Semi-Truck for a hefty 100lb e-bike. Us truckers wanna ride too...

Can I use the C channel part with the tonneau cover installed and rolled back?
That's pure genius.
Nice info!

Tailgate down it should fit

Yes I do just that with my bikes
@@RunBikeMike thanks! I might give these a try if this solves my problem I don’t think I’d need a hitch rack.
no matter what its gonna scratch your frame, if thats ok, then thats a sweet rack.
Ridewrap your frame.
This is Amazing!!!

The C channel was pre installed on my Tacoma. I am not sure on the exact size.
Good stuff, thx
I’ve been looking at bikes racks for 2 months, this just came up in my feed. Ordering today. Thank you. I’m also Run Bike Mike add pickleball
Do you think this is safe to use with the tailgate open?
Yes, as it will hold the bike with no problems.
Great idea, but holy effing expensive. $115!?
The price has gone up for sure. But these rack are awesome. I use mine several times a week and leave it installed on my truck.
What about e bicycles. I have a Specialized Turbo Tero 3.0.
Yes you can use them with e-bikes.
0:00 The Insta GO 2 on top of the roof 🤣🤣
What if you start driving and forget it is there 🤣🤣 Just kidding awesome video Mike
Haha you spotted it. Such a handy little camera.

Look for other listings you can get it for around $100 on amazon
👍
Nice concept but overpriced.
There’s minimal parts and materials, so I can’t see more the $40 (and that’s being generous).
im still surprised at the cost.
Way to expensive!
Wow these are way overpriced.
They are pricey but work really well
