Thanks for the video man. I got my first truck about a year ago due to it being a great deal in a terrible car market (always driven cars in the past.) Figuring it'd be nice to have on occasion. But now I own a Kayak and will soon own a Sur Ron so the truck is coming in extremely handy. I'm sure I'll eventually get a strapless setup for the convenience. But this was a nice concise guide to get everything setup properly. It's also nice to see I won't need to bother with a ramp for the Sur Ron to get it into the bed.
Thanks very much I would never have thought how to get my bike up in the bed of my truck. By the way, if you don't already, you should consider doing voice over work
Awesome video I am in the market for a taleria and I’m a bigger guy 260lbs what is the top speed the sting can get you at? I won’t be off roading it just street riding it.
A motorcycle specific Mitch carrier will work for sure. You can find them on Amazon or at most motorcycle dealerships. I’m probably going to be testing heavy duty MTB carriers though because they are lightweight and have some other nice features. But for sure the moto stuff will definitely work.
@matthew mclaughlin Heyo Im a bigger guy who is gonna ride mostly street riding, what do u think about the talaria and the shocks? Do u ever bottom the forks? Im around 185 cm and 115kg ( Im a boxer ) ive just heard that the forks and shock spring are bad so i wanna hear your opinion on it?
Hey! So as you can tell I’m a big dude, and I have been extremely surprised at the performance of the suspension. I still haven’t bottomed out the fork, even after jumping it. The rear spring is definitely too soft when I’m sitting down, but when I stand up and shift my weight forward I feel very in control and it doesn’t feel too soft. Basically unless something cray happens I won’t be upgrading my suspension anytime soon.
Depends. The charger requires 600 watts to operate. So as long as your bed outlet produces over 600 watts it’s no problem. Otherwise it will not. I installed a direct-wire 800 watt inverter in my truck bed and that worked great for my two week overland trip to Colorado.
you can just lay that thing down flat in the back and tie it down, wont hurt it a bit its and E bike there is no engine gas or oil in it. I do it all the time.. never hurt or scratched a thing
Good video but I’m a woman with a heybike with baskets on the front and back and cannot load it like this in the back of my Colorado. Good video though for a man.
Yea you can totally run two e-bikes in the bed side by side. The straps will sit slightly on top of the front tire of each bike because of the angle the straps will be at. (Hard to describe in text) But absolutely no worries. Just repeat the process for the second bike but instead of placing it in the middle move each bike to the sides of the bed.
? Hey guy's am I wrong in thinking the following way : Why not just lie the bike down on the opposite side of the battery but lay some cheap memory foam down first? (even a 30.00 twin mattress would do fine right?) by the way why advertise your nice toy to bad actors who might want to follow you as well,
No freaking way will I lift that damn Ebike off the ground for any reason it weighs 95 lbs I am old as dirt or Santa Claus 🎅 so hell to the no thats why I bought a bike rack with a ramp to roll my Ebike like a real dumb ass should 🤓😏
I wish all videos on RUclips were straightforward like this one. Great work bud!
Thank you!

No problem! Glad it is helpful 🤙🏻
Great video. We have two Lectric eBikes and just bought our first truck. Thanks for the advice. What length is your bed?
Excellent video.
Thank you very much!
Nice! I keep my tail gate down and bike straight. Great tips
Thanks bro 😎
any way you might put a link to the moose racing straps you are suggesting? Please and thank you.
No problem. I just linked a set from Protaper that'll work perfect.

I will buy the straps for other things
Great video! This totally worked for me! I was able to load my Talaria for transport using this technique. Thank you!

Glad it helped! And I've been looking into it a little. Luckily I have a friend in the industry to help me if I need it.
@@haveagoodoneyt I've already ordered the straps on Amazon. I have to wait till Friday to get my bike.
@@rchrdjms62 that’s awesome!
Do you have a link to the strap that holds the tail gate .

Everyday, when I commute, I hit 46 mph.
Great technique
Where can I find a tailgate strap like that?
Do you know of any good hitch carriers that are rated for that bike weight ?
Dirt bike hitch racks work great, around the same price as regular bike ones, but can only hold 1 bike at a time

What's the name of the strap you use to lift your tailgate?
I wish that it was a specific product I just had it lying around

Very informative, thank you! suscribed!
Thanks for the sub!
Why don't you just turn the wheel of the bike 90 degrees and then you can put the tailgate up!
Greetings . Can it charge from the bed outlet while driving ?

Totally. I like the secure feeling plus I tend to go off-road with it in the bed and I can’t have it bouncing around
@@haveagoodoneyt Change my mind.. I went to redrock this weekend lots of bouncing around, its much better your way !
There's very good bike racks, that are much easier to use.
I just lay mine down in the truck - there is no gas or anything that is going to leak.
That can totally work. I just like the security, knowing it won’t bounce out or get scratched

I have a frontier so our beds are the same. You think I can fit 2 ebikes this way? I have a bed extender too.
Two full-size dirtbikes can fit in the bed of a 5ft bed with the tailgate down... no reason two ebikes can't fit.

Front wheel will turn with out a front wheel chock and the bike will fall over
💯
