    But you must be sure to balance striking and grappling with soft arts and hard arts. And edging and attributes and sparring and competing and anaerobic and aerobic exercise and strength and conditioning and resistance training.

    MMA can be for everybody regardless age and can be not. It is all about the gym mentality. You MMa coach have a great mentality. If you apply this mentality to every sport, every sport can be for everybody regardless age. Because you are not focussed on making money or on creating fighters, like you said you are focussed on delivering the best martial arts experience possible, in order to do that you have to take time to understand what the students goals are. A diplomat that start at the age of 40, cannot have the same goal of a 18 old guy who wants to enter in ufc. Not all coaches take time to understand who they have in front.

    • @MMACoach79
      @MMACoach79  3 года назад +1

      Absolutely! And this might be a subject for a seperate video.
      It is not entirely clear for a layman that MMA can be practiced recreationally since it is a violent sport, and competitors are in the lime light. That is why I made this video and one more like it.

    Hey, I'm 15 and I want to compete someday in mma and try to go pro. My mma gym is very small there is about 3 to 4 people there a day and sometimes I'm the only one there with my coach. It's only open 4 days a week for 2.5 hours a day. I dont think this is enough training for what I want to accomplish. Ive been training for 3 months.The next closest gym is about 40 minutes away and I can't drive myself there. What should i do?

    • @a.l-moodli3978
      @a.l-moodli3978 3 года назад +1

      I know you didn’t ask me, but I’m in same problem, my closest is like 50 min away.
      HOWEVER, JUST TRAIN AT HOME. ok, unless u have HEAVY BAG, or Century versys v1-bag, shadow boxing, cardio, and conditioning,
      ANOTHER IDEA, if u have Muay Thai gym and wrestling/judo/BJJ/sambo gym closer, u should go there. I’m 13, and right now I’m Muay Thai gym, even tho MMA gym is closer. In 2022 I’m going for Weestling gym, in 2023, I’m going for Judo, 2024 I’m going for BJJ, 2025, I’m goin for Sambo gym. And 2026 I’m going rest of my life in MMA gym.
      Believe in yourself, you gonna do it
      Believe it, your half way there ;)
      Have a good day✊

    Very good.Why I believe trt should be reintroduced. Some people get a late start for whatever circumstances. They become skillful, they are in good condition and would probably like to compete, but with testosterone . beginning to decrease after 40, training becomes difficult at the competitive level, hence the use at an approved dosage so they can enjoy doing what they would like to do.....

    • @MMACoach79
      @MMACoach79  2 года назад +1

      I disagree. Just train with what testosterone you have, live a healthy lifestyle and you will increase your T-levels somewhat. And later when you get older if you really feel you need a boost, then do as Joe Rogan does. I personally wouldn't, but I'm still 43.

    • @MMACoach79

      UFC fighters mostly cut water before their fights, and that is not what you need. You need a healthy diet and exercise.
