When I took a road trip to Smyrna, Georga in 2019, I trailered the scoot because I was starting to get balance issues on two wheels. I'm so glad I did. There was a wreck on I-75, so I was stuck in traffic for 45 mins. It was nice in an air-conditioned truck instead of in the heat. With the Spyder, I bought an enclosed trailer to have dual use.
For transport and storage. When I went to Tazwell, Va to ride the Back of the Dragon last July, it really was a lifesaver. It's cool when you get more "Mature" with age, you really don't care what other people think.
It looks like Miriam's Meat Loaf was screaming "To go box please!"

We gave lots of thought to an enclosed trailer, but opted for the stinger

In 2015, I trailered my Spyder to the Spyder Rally in Myrtle Beach. Rained all the way from Stafford, VA to Myrtle Beach. I was nice and dry while the DMV Spyder Ryders rode their bike from MD to Myrtle Beach. They were drenched. That was when I had my Ford F-450 and Holmes 6'x10' trailer. Now I have a Toyota Tacoma and am considering buying a Stinger trailer. At 77, it is a better way to go.

Had a stinger trailer from day one of getting my spyder. Have found a few things with the trailer, it rides really low even when using an adjustable hitch! Plus not as easy to fold or put down as shown on the company’s video! The cover is a good idea, as I went through a torrential rainstorm last June & the spyder got cover in a gritty sand afterwards ! There’s only one guaranteed for trailing only from CanAm, which I now have yet to test it out this year’s camping season. Ride safe regards Stephen Alberta Canada.

Morning. Well now that was a nice trip for testing. Mrs Rowes is probably one of the nicer places in that area to eat. Kate and I sometimes have breakfast there then we head east and go thru the mountains.250 is a windy road, you should try rt 33 west. A lot of kiss your rear end turns. Hope your trip to key west is successful. For us it would, long hauls on the bike takes its toll on us. I figure it no doubt is wearing on you two. Having a vehicle does also lend itself to a bit more security. Well you guys have yourselves a wonderful weekend.. later.

Having pulled boat, snowmobile and utility trailers all of my adult life I can’t stress enough a Spyder cover specially for trailering. It is only a matter of time before the tow vehicle or oncoming vehicle kicks up a stone or other debris and puts a gouge in the body, damages the windshield, etc. Takes extra time yes, but saves the repair costs and trips to dealer.

Great to see the new trailer and 4Runner in action. Great combination. Had a 4Runner and it was great. Know you’re looking forward to Key West. You’ll really love the set up when you go through your first torrential rain storm and your dry and cosy. Hugs to Miriam and looking forward to seeing you guys down the road.

I just bought completely covered in trailor for my spyder which is identical model colour and everything to john & Miriams... I had considered a stinger trailor... But my thoughts were exactly that of stones hitting my Beautiful Spyder...
Worth investing in a fully covered in Trailor...

Hi John and Miriam. It may not be a 44 foot fifth wheel but it is a trailer. Practice backing up because the time will come when you need that skill. Small trailers definitely react faster than long trailers. A good dinner always makes everything better. Reviews Reviews. Spyder ride yay. Love the twisty roads. Take care you two

Great trial run. Used to live in Stanton back in the day. I like the Spyder Stinger trailer idea it beats the alternative. Enjoy Key West, it's a fun 'one trip' thing. Narrow streets and lots of traffic, but the Spyder will serve you well there. We are in Sebring, I think you pass right through our village on 27 going south, unless you take some other route. If convenient, stop by, we can do lunch or something. Think you have my email or cell, if not and you can stop off, I can get it to you. You know me, I would be remiss if I failed to comment.

I have been looking for something like that in Australia. All the fold-up ones here fit a golf buggy (too small). To get one built is about $10K and the Stinger cannot be imported as it does not meet our design Regs (lights and hitch connection). They changed trailer laws in our state recently where you can't build your own with having three to be destroyed for testing by the Transport Dept.
Because I am about 4 hours from my nearest service agent, a trailer like that would be ideal to take the Spyder for a service. I go twice a year as I put so many km on it. I could then drop the Spyder off and go for a drive around the Sunshine Coast area in Queensland.
Thanks for the video, I really enjoyed your Spyder Ryde, very similar to a road I just did in Australia, the Oxley Highway. Keep up the great work and safe travels.
    Steve from Australia.

So here's my trial by fire story...we were in Milwaukee...I had ridden two up with TommyG on his HD and friends had trailered their mc...long story short, they were in an accident on their way to our house from Long Island....they were a little banged up. Another friend lent his truck and trailer (he had trailered to our house) to them to take the MC to Milwaukee...the friends felt better enough by the time we were ready to head home to ride the MC. So who would drive the truck and trailer? Well, that would be PO3...it was an enclosed trailer and pretty big. My "training" was to drive the rig around the parking lot of the hotel...make one left turn, one right turn and I "was approved". Well, I drove that thing for 9 hours, even through construction in Chicago. I had never towed a trailer before in my life. That's my story and I'm sticking to it, lol!

You might want to check your tongue weight on your trailer. A light tongue weight can cause the noise you're herring, but that noise is telling you something. If you don't have the proper weight it can be very dangerous under the right conditions. This can be done by weighing it under the jack when fully loaded . Not hooked to vehicle just jacked up in the shop. I hope this is helpful. Where you experienced with trailering, the drop of the vehicle also tells a lot. Your tow vehicle should drop significantly. Anyway hope it helps ,I belive it was coach Bob turned me onto your channel, have enjoyed you both. Blessings
