    Hey, really nice review. Just a quick heads up - you shouldn't use the abrasive part of the sponge to clean the parts of the basket, since I think it takes off the non-stick coating. It was also mentioned somewhere in the manual as well. Great air fryer, can't wait for mine to arrive next week ^_^

    • @AliciaLynnYT
      @AliciaLynnYT  Год назад +1

      Yes! Great point about the nonstick surface and abrasive scrubbers! The thing I was using is a reusable/washable dish cloth that is marketed to be safe for non stick surfaces. They combined with the dawn work great but don't harm the surface. Enjoy your new fryer!!

    • @debbie1483
      @debbie1483 Год назад +1

      I've also heard the aerosol sprays like Pam can mess up the non stick coating. My first fryer was the Ninja and that coating got messed up fast! When I learned that and got my new Cosori, I switched to the non aerosols sprays and still looks as good as new.

    • @AliciaLynnYT

      Very true about the aerosol sprays!

    Great review! I have the Dual Blaze (it's my second air fryer also), and I absolutely LOVE IT! I almost never use the crisper tray; I find that things cook fine without it, so I just skip the hassle of food falling through and having to clean it. Also, note that Cosori recommends that when installing it, put it in at an angle -- drop one end in, then push the other end down.

    I have had my cosori dual blaze for about two months now and I've got no complaints about it. It's a great machine, it's really handy having the two elements. It's so easy to use and clean, it's much better having the crisper tray instead of the basket which makes it so much easier to clean. I usually clean my with Mr Muscle kitchen cleaner and a bit cif and some soapy water, it comes up great. I normally soak mine after cooking so it comes clean more easily. I wouldn't try scrubbing it with hard fried good on it in case it scratched it .

    Very nice review, I appreciate how thorough you are about the settings and app setup. I think the only difference between broil and roast is that broil only uses the top element. Will be useful for sandwiches probably.
    I ordered the 5 qt Pro LE but cancelled it and ordered this one. Even for a single person I think the extra tray space will be beneficial for crisping.
    It's significantly more expensive but I think I made the right choice...we'll see.

    • @AliciaLynnYT
      @AliciaLynnYT  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you! I think you are right about the broil. I can honestly say that after having two air fryers of roughly this size, I would never buy a smaller one, even if it was just for me. There aren't as many limitations with this size on what you can cook in it. And yes, the extra space just means extra air flow and a crispier result. Hope you enjoy yours as much as we do ours!

    25:41, tabs at the buttom burned/melted: My user manual tells me to avoid touching the plastics with the warm basket, while you leave it to rest on the two tabs several times after cooking! Please place the fryer on a heat safe surface (as also mentioned in the manual), and remove the basket completely from the fryer to extract the cooked food….and the tabs would likely be in a better shape….

    Each selectable mode (broil, roast, bake, etc...) also changes the percentages used of the top and bottom heating elements.
    Air fry is the only selection that has the top and bottom elements on high.

    Great review! I love my Cosori 5 qt Compact, since it's only for me, but love the dual blaze concept. I've only had mine since March, so I'll be shaking for a while...lol
    This is my 2nd Cosori, diff model, dropped my basket (my fault) and their customer service was great! I ended up giving that one to my son (after fixed) and got this one.
    Love your nails too, getting mine done today even...lol And your doggies, so cute!!

    This morning I cooked a strip steak that was about 3/4 inch thick in my dual blaze. Set the temp at 400 for 8 minutes. The outside was very well done but the internal temp only got up to 140 degrees. I new if I cooked it any longer the outside would be hard as a rock, so I ate it and didn't have any problems. To be honest, my old Nuwave Infrared Oven cooked steaks better. Next time I'll try cooking a steak at 400 for 7 minutes and then flip it over.

But they love it now. We love ours even if ours is a different brand. Interesting air fryer, it does look like a printer! Will it print fried chicken? 😛

    Do you find that the silicone pad impedes the ability to brown with the lower element?

    • @AliciaLynnYT
      @AliciaLynnYT  Год назад +2

      Great question! I haven't found that, no. When I do something like fries on the pad, they get nice and brown/crispy all the way around. The biggest thing I have found that affects the evenness of the cooking, crispness, etc. is just the air flow. You want to make sure to not overfill/overcrowd the basket with food, so the air flow isn't impeded.

    Hi, can you start the air fryer manual mode, not just from those recipes from the app (set preset like Air Fry, Bake, Fries, temperature and time )?
    Can you schedule a recipe that was set to favorites or choose manual and desired temperature and time or one of the presets from the Vsync app? I use this schedule feature all the time from Mi Home app with Xiaomi Mi Smart Air Fryer.

    • @AliciaLynnYT
      @AliciaLynnYT  Год назад +1

      You can do everything from the app, but it still requires a manual start (you have to push the start button) before it will start cooking) it won't start cooking remotely.
