I have a dog with a very sour stomach. She passed room clearing gas right before the “glad we don’t have smell-o-vision” comment. You jinxed me with that comment.
Compared to the Netherlands, England is still quite old-fashioned in terms of its sewer system. We don't have such wells here at our houses or in our garden, nor do we have those types of drain pipes that are connected to the toilet or whatever. The pipes along our houses are really only for the rain. That's why I think your videos are really great to watch and also quite educational. Keep it up guys!!!!
When Justin starts finding the channel in the manhole Andy always takes the plunger out of his hands and does it himself? Let Justin do it! He has to learn somehow.
What was Jack doing on that gully ? Kept on trying the same thing which wasn't working over and over again, making a right mess.. Great unblock by Andy & Justin, well done lads
🧐 - if there is sewerage coming out of the drain & the sewerage level is bobbing up/down - that is the level of the overflowing drains and that drains u-trap/section of pipe is clear, indicates the blockage is at the main drain outlet for that house is blocked ~ he found the second sewer manhole and the blockage was wet-wipes intwined with a rim block cage
Two enjoyable unblocks, good clean up from Jack and I liked that he removed the clump of wipes and didn’t flush them down the drain. I feel sorry for Justin; all the lads have their own preferences/ methods for unblocking and cleaning and he is developing his own too. Trouble is he works with everyone and they all expect him to do it their preferred way and criticise him when he suggests something different. I would have thought it must knock his confidence a bit. Perhaps it’s time to let him do some unblocks on his own and see how he gets on.
"I'm so glad we don't have Smell-O-Vision!" I think we all agree on that! lol! No wonder Jack had such trouble with that drain... That was a HUGE ball of wipes wadded up in the outflow!
@@scott87136 they're the reason for that saying, "Just because you can do something... Doesn't mean you should!" I'd guess the makers intended for the wipes to be flushable, but never realized how easily they'd catch in the sewer lines, or how they'd collect and dam up the outflow when multiple wipes get caught up together. Seriously that was a HUGE wad of wipes blocking the pipes!
🤨…. I wonder if the same squeamish woman ~ that is polishing her bum with [Andrex washlets] saw the rim block had dissolved and needed replacement and her [squeamish] mind thought = what happens if I flush the cage down the bog; ooo it works 🤗, I do that. I don’t I have to put that grimy thing in the bin (along with the wet-wipes), until she got the blocked sewer smell 😠
Well done lads you’re all such hard workers 👍 Hats off to you all 🎩 also a couple of tips for you, try using a garden trowel or flour scoop for gravel etc and a long arm litter picker. Cheap add on tools for your vans that I’m sure would help you out. 👍
I'm glad we don't have "smellovision" too. You can just about taste it on your teeth watching it from here in NZ. LOL You could hear the spade hitting gravel and not the concrete when you first started breaking up the custard pudding. No wonder the drains blocked its half full of gravel. good job well done. the wet wipes are great for business but dont dissolve so they just block the pipes. Nice clean up too. I expect the customers appreciate that on top of having a clear drain.
Great difference between the first and second half of the video. Andy knows what he is doing, while Jack thinks he knows it. Instead of keep trying it from the gully and getting no where, it got easily unblocked from the second manhole.
Well done again chaps! It'd be worth a blocked drain just to get you lot round. (ish...) I am amused by all the armchair drain cleaners on here, but most of us appreciate you!!
On the first one - think if Andy had given Justin a chance before snatching rod off him and taking over yet again, Justin was actually saying it was full of gravel and was trying to shift it with spade which would have saved time and effort. Also think calling him 'Forest' was a sad thing to do. Jack on the second one is obviously not as clever as he likes to think he is. Certainly a lot quieter when Justin's not around to pick on.Unless he was just being lazy and didn't want to lift the second one right next to the one he'd just lifted.
Jem must have spent his time at home talking to himself and Jack has picked up on that, with nattering away (not to us ?) about the state of the clean-up etc.
Well, some great long glove action from both guys there....Thought the Drain Viking was going to be up to his longboat in that gully. Do Ansell not manufacture a glove which is 'long and tough'?
@cookwitchcreations5755 a bucket of water alone will flush them down stream. The only sensible use for disinfectant is when the drain had overflowed onto a paved surface.
I’m from the US and I know nothing of your job, except what I have watched you do in all your videos… my question is: Is there anyway to mark where the drain is, that goes to the main. This would take out the guess work..
There is no easy way to tell, with back to back houses the main sewer could just as easily be in the back garden as in the front or road. The layout and depth of the manholes often give a good clue. On my own house and land drains and similar st work I mark the direction of flow on the back of the covers with a wax marker crayon.
Your new policy on editing your posts as short as possible which you've been doing for the last several weeks has lowered the overall quality of your posts. On the first blockage of this post, you never even tried to explore where the rocks found in the line came from. Never showed running the camera to see if there was a break or separation in one of the lines. For your viewers, you just ignored all of this. At one time your posts were head and shoulders better than any other posts of the same nature, but now there's several other company/posts, (Australians), that are far superior to yours.
A very stubborn gully for the viking prince there, you unblocked it in the end with some shite water on your bum as a thank you gift 🤣, nice new sign written van you got there looks good, onto the next one 👍
wERE DID ALL THEM ROCKS COME FROM? mAYBE KIDS IN THE HOUSE ARE FLUSHING THEM DOWN THE TOILET. Sorry for the all caps someone put the caps lock on. I didn't feel like retyping after I noticed.
Why oh why do you have to keep bloody rinsing down with buckets just wash down with the jetting hose and maybe next time instead of trying to jet a full gully why not just have a proper look around for the empty manhole i mean look at the mess inexperience shows
Jack , you should learn and try harder, what a mess you created for no reason, to do that job you really have to want to do it, you were getting me mad just watching you, don't think you would last the day with me,
People will you ever learn to not flush wipes jeese and how do you think that toilet freshner got down there 🤔 he probably or his children or wife flushed it 😂 fool, this is my kinda job hate smells and stuff but the unblock satisfaction feels so good
I have a dog with a very sour stomach. She passed room clearing gas right before the “glad we don’t have smell-o-vision” comment. You jinxed me with that comment.
My dog was the same way last week try giving her some pure can pumpkin. Works for my baby
You got crop dusted! I have a 17 yr old kitty that loves to walk across mine n hubbys pillows at night n do that!!

Well i never thought i would say this, but Andy, have you been taking bullying lessons of Jem..! Poor old Justin.😂😂

A great clearing today on all counts. Happy Father’s Day where it is celebrated. Have a cracking week ahead! 🇬🇧🙂👍🇺🇸
Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there
Same too, buddy 👍👍
Great job Andy and Justin. I think Justin is developing some good instincts. You could give Justin a little more space to do his job Andy.
Glad jacks on board bit of eye candy while im watching the unblocks. 😊
WTG Andy and Justin excellent unblock
Love all the kids playing and having a grand time of it.
What was Jack doing on that gully ? Kept on trying the same thing which wasn't working over and over again, making a right mess.. Great unblock by Andy & Justin, well done lads
2 heads are better than 1, don't give Jack hell. He got it figured it out in the end.

Any dimbulb who flushes one of those toilet deodorant cages deserves a mess, honestly, some people are clueless.
Thank you for recording the cleanup!

Another successful day by Mersea Rod enjoyed it.
Jack making a meal of things again.
Two great jobs !!! And great clean ups , brilliant .
Good morning sunshine! Happy Father's Day! Much love from Henderson Ga USA

Good to see big Justin has some new rigger boots, been a while poor lad.. ;-)
A narrow sand scoop would be helpful for situations like this.
Another great recording keep up the good work guys
The flush of success 👍👍👍👏🏻
Well done Andy, and Jack🎉
Another Good Video Thanks From Blue
Great two videos as always with very different approaches.
Any chance of Warren doing a video please as missing his humor too

Or something as simple as a plastic flower pot will fit into the channel easily and drain any liquid captured.
🤨, a wet’n’dry shop vac would be more efficient ~ sucking all of it up

Maybe a garden trowel would be useful to have to clear stones?
Need to add a trowel to your kit for stones mate...
In the intro clips, poo doesn't look so bad in black and white! 😂

Odd on Jack's unblock, both chambers looked like foul, and two blockages on the same property! Possible cross connection there!
20:29 😂
You need to use a cup to scoop that sand out 😮
4:08 luckily not😮
I'm at lunch right now 😊
No wonder it was blocked with all those stones in there 😅
Do you tell the clients about the wet wipes you pull out?
Where does all that gravel come from?
Well done Gents but i think there are jobs Gem just doesn't pay you enough to do. LOL
What with the hot weather the stench must be abhorrent.😷
4:09 me too
looks like stones are getting in some how the home owner needs to find out why
Mmmmm caramel sundae anyone?
What is all of that stuff blocking the drain!!?
Still cant understand two things:
- Why don‘t you directly jet?
- Why don‘t you just jet from the street (towards that pit)?
Adding disinfectant to a drain is like throwing money down drain? Just wondering.
It'll kill off the fly larvae that has settled in there.
@cookwitchcreations5755 a bucket of water alone will flush them down stream.
