    Harry is a breath of fresh air in this new 'RUclips vlog' era.
    These youngsters that have 500k+ subs just do not have the class or the experience like harry does.
    I can only assume the reason Harry has less subscribers is because the bulk of the fan base for these 'bigger' channels are just children?

    • @bgd73
      @bgd73 7 лет назад +8

      his channel is young. He'll keep climbing on the subs...all from overseas.

      Hi Ein,
      Nothing wrong with being a kid :-)
      I think its great you enjoy Harrys channel.
      The reason I mentioned children before was because its a much larger user base on RUclips than adults, so some of the less serious channels seem to have more fans.

      I think your assumption of the age range that's currently watching, is pretty spot on. I have a problem watching many (I suppose almost all) of the younger people that are trying to make videos like these because they're not speaking to me (and I'm only 37 years old), but I also understand that they're not targeting me in the first place.
      I far FAR more prefer people like Harry, Autogefuhl, Alex on Autos, and Jeff (specifically Jeff) from Hooniverse. The approach is still fun, but it's informative, and it's 99% about the car not a wild or zany personality.
      It's good that there are all of these different videos out there, but it does make it much harder to find videos of this flavor with sooooooooooooooo many of the younger audience flooding RUclips.

    When Acura announced the v10 nsx, I emailed them, and said it was a moronic idea to call a front engine car a nsx. They actually emailed me back, months later, and said they had changed their mind, and were scrapping the front engine v10 plans. I was humbled that a company would even respond, let alone months later, and responding to criticism. Acura cares.

    Thanks for another great video Harry! The interior is becoming a big problem now I think on Japanese cars. In the 90's they could still get away with the sea of black industrial grade plastic, but with how far things have come with almost every other manufacturer, it just doesn't fly anymore... I've never been as dissapointed as I was the first time I got in a Nissan GTR and had a good look around the cabin.

    A year ago I traded in my '13 Viper GTS for my '18 NSX.....couldn't be happier. I've owned an AP1 S2000 for the last13 years, and I've owned Hondas before (CRX, CRX si, CBR600, 900, 929....) so I had some pretty serious expectations for this car. I can report that it has easily met and exceeded all of them. I drive it all year round in Saskatchewan, Canada, where temperatures reach -40C in the winter, and it performs flawlessly on Pirelli Sottozero 3 rubber. I haven't had one problem with it. The only complaint I have: I wish it had command/remote start..........I can survive without it, but on those cold mornings, it sure would be nice ;)

    Nice Review!. And Harry´s got a good point with the battery. This car would stand out more in the segment if it had more EV capabilities, that way it could offer something slightly different in this segment.
    I´m confused about that interior design, considering what Honda has been able to do with some models having intuitive yet spaceship alike design with some pretty clever arrangements. To my eyes the whole design is well rounded but it does not have anything very distinctive, neither inside or outside. You can not even blame it for being ugly since, for that its too dynamic and balanced set up. So it lands sort of in the middle of it all and for that the price tag is very high.
    Contrary to the GTR the NSX does not have what it takes to re active the former fan base, for that it would need some features that could at least go toe to toe with the competition and it does not quite do it even that it is close. Perhaps the NSX simply need time to mature and to choose weather it want´s to be more luxurious with more EV capacity and optimized consumption numbers or if it want´s to be all the way up for performance and driver involvement loosing some weight.
    I don´t dislike it at all, but it also does not really excite me much - I don´t dream about driving a 2017 NSX as I do with several other current fast cars.

    I like this kind of cars, like the LFA and other excelent stuff made by "conventional" entreprises, they bring the worst of some people... You know, that kind of people that judge thinks by the lineage, the blue blood and not by the intrinsic quality of the product(or even person). If this car had a Porsche badge or a Ferrari badge it would be the best thing made for 90% of the RUclipsr commenters, but is just a Honda, right? Excelent video as usual Harry.

      I 100% agree with you. 95% of the comments on here hate the NSX and they know little to nothing about it because of the Honda badge. I remember as a Kid in the 90s the original NSX received the same type of bad publicity by the general public who didn't understand it. Many people called it an overpriced Honda Civic and claimed it was basically the same car. The new NSX is a technological marvel like the original but in 2017! *It's a baby Porsche 918 for 1/10th the cost WITH Honda reliability.* How is that no impressive? People confuse me...

    • @Kamukix
      @Kamukix 7 лет назад +2

      Spot on sir. Most of the people complaining have never driven the car in question (and many yet still, any car at all), nor a car on it's level.
      The biggest issue with the people that "hate" the new NSX, to me is that all seem to harp on it being 'nothing like the old one' which just isn't true. The car is a showcase of what Honda can do with the technology of the day, same as the old one. The difference is that now Ferrari is ALSO making cars that are wonderful, so the stark difference between the NSX and the Ferrari of the day is no longer something that can make the NSX look like a world beater or 'showing the Italians how it's done'....now it's just a really really really good car. Weird that, that isn't apparently enough anymore?

    • @Kamukix
      @Kamukix 7 лет назад

      That is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO true! It seems a bit of revisionist history from people who weren't alive/aware when the NSX was still in production, or just only remember the good stuff said about the car. The number of people that claimed they would never pay that much money for a HONDA, was staggering. They had no knowledge of what the car was, but the 'boring' V6 engine and Honda badging (thus the US got ''fancy' Acura badging and still does).
      It's silly honestly. Especially as the car really is something like a 918 for the price of an option box on that cars price sheet lol. I have been watching values on these pretty closely along with the Audi R8 V8 (I prefer the V8 model even though it's slower). I knew I should've bought an older one a handful of years back before the prices jumped so largely. Eh, live and learn.

    There's a '17 I intend to look at today. Grayish green color with a white interior, so I'm not 100% sold on the spec, but it's a definite maybe. :) Really the only criticisms on this car are the sound (a Fabspeed exhaust and downpipe should take care of that) and the cost of these cars new. Oh, and I might get the carbon fiber spoiler.

    Great review as per usual. I dunno what it is beyond the info given but Harry gives me the feeling that whatever car he reviews/explores I'd feel exactly the same way about it, if that makes sense?

      Dear?
      You mean 'more than you can afford'?
      It's too much for me but it's about the right price for what it is.
      If it was the same price as a Mondeo then it wouldn't be special and we'd need something else, which was the same distance above it as this is from a Mondeo.

      Harry's review of this car is as usual fabulous. Should we waste our time to watch the "STG" video of this car? Past videos I saw him make were puerile, ill informed and very "light" and presented in a very "camp" way.

      Blaine thanks for your concern about my calmness, since I can read English I know what Stephen said, I'm just asking him if the STG review is any good or not. Butt hurt STG fan?

    I owned an older model with straight design from front to rear. This one the same, but it will be better looking and sexy with a broader rear body just like the Maserati Granturismo, Aston Martin and Lexus LC500. Honda should go into full electric power engine instead. Anyway it's quite awesome. Tq bro.

    Japanese technological superiority ! Simply it won't break...Friend owns an NSX 1st series with the pop up lights. If this car had a voice, would say enough !!!! Nothing at all ! Not even a snag ! Oil, Gas , tyres and that's all it needs ! Amazingly reliable car!
    Same goes for the motorbikes etc...I mean look at those Africa that Harry owns ..they will keep running for ever !
    Harry thanks !!!

      All of my machines are Honda (one track car and three bikes), with the exception of my daily driver which is a BMW 1150GS (which I adore). I absolutely love my BMW, but my god does it need attention that costs a mint.

    i wish honda put 4.0l v6 with 600 ponies in the back. then this really would have been ahead of its time. on and off the track. that or upgrade the front electric motors to 75hp a piece. that would allow the front tires to be more reponsive to accel/decel through the corners.

    For the money you also get a car that is built with Honda reliability and dependability. The cars he's comparing it too should actually be much cheaper than the NSX given as much as they'll set you back in constant maintenance, worry, and time not driven. In a true "real world" comparison, the NSX is a relative bargain.

    My favorite sports car. I have the MDX hybrid and RLX hybrid with very similar EV components. The hybrid powertrain works more like a large displacement engine or turbo or supercharger you will find in other vehicles. The advantage with the Sport Hybrid is you happen to get good city mpgs, instant electric motor tq starting a idle, and have sh-awd. A larger battery wouldn't change the performance this track ready street legal vehicle other than making it heavier and drive like a Toyota Prius at low speeds.

    @ Harry. The look of the new NSX is slowly growing on me. My problem with its exterior design is that, while it might look sharp now, it will look like last Wednesday fairly shortly. The original NSX, however (even that bastardised late 90s one in your vid), is still distinctive.
