Why You Should Always Have a Line In The Water When Surf Fishing!

You will rarely find me on the beach without at least one line out in the surf at all times. While I tend to prefer the action associated with fishing with artificial lures, I never want to pass up an opportunity to catch more fish. That is why the FIRST thing I do when I get to my spot is toss out a line with a sinker, a pompano rig, and some Fish GUM/Fish Bites to let it do work while I set up the rest of my gear.
In this video, I show you exactly why I recommend this technique. On this particular morning, I almost talked myself out of having a spiked rod set up, so I could go exclusively with artificial. Thank goodness I didn't let that happen.
