After all these years, even in July 2021, both Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy are revered as the beautiful duets who gave us such beautiful music. This song is so beautiful and heart-warming with the lovely baritone of Nelson Eddy being overlooked by the portrait of Jeanette MacDonald. I believe that they are both in Heaven, still singing immortal and wonderful 🎵songs, as only the two of them could do. God bless and keep them in His loving care.❤😇🌹💞💕
My beautiful mother introduced me to M AND J...She grew up in Jeanette's Philadelphia neighbor and saw them singer on stage...she recently passed away but left all her records..scrapbooks...and even paperdolls!!! I treasure all these memories these beautiful videos evoke....my father fell in love with my mother at first sight...when he showed up at her door with his WW11 uniform on...he reminded her of Nelson Eddy....they got married before he shipped over to Europe....I'm so grateful for my mom for introducing such a wonderful romantic time period and lovely couple 💑 of Jeanette and Nelson!!!
I know, right? I love Nelson Eddy! That man absolutely has my heart! There are no words to describe Nelson Eddy’s magnificence! Oh, I wish I could have met him. He died before my time, unfortunately. My sweet Nelson Eddy!
It's impossible to imagine a better voice , a really heavenly singing .jeanette was the happiest woman on the earth , nelson loved her truly, madly ! I can't but adore them so much!
6 24 2033. Dear Baz, i am so greatful you're still showing this. Had such a grand time colorizing for you. Now that i am in end stage cancer and bedbound and cannot use a computer, it is hartwarming to see your beautiful vids. the FIREFLY colorization was the hardest i ever worked..3 solid days..but the results!! Take care. Julie
Wonderful videao Baz. I've never heard "In Dreams" before and love the other two songs. Dreamboat is such a lovely description for both the video and the singer. Thank you. Anne.
I agree! In fact, Nelson Eddy was more than a Dreamboat! He was absolutely indescribable! There are no words to describe Nelson Eddy’s magnificence! And, of course, Jeanette MacDonald was indescribable as well!
I guess her career was very important to her. Nelson wanted her to be the mother of his children and his wife. That wasn't enough for her. I feel sad that her career was more important. Maybe Nelson had some problems? Don't we all?
This is beautiful Baz, it's simply, well, DREAMY! I naver heard Nelson sing "In Dreams" either. Does anyone know where it came from and how I can locate a copy of the recording?
Is it? I know that Nelson Eddy sang a bunch of Stephen Foster songs, including a cover of the song they sing right before The Kentucky Derby every year!

Nelson Eddy was very handsome and talented. Jeanette was very blessed to have him as a lover, why oh why didn't she marry him ?
Lovely
Jeanette reminds me of a pre-raphaelite painting.
Thanks Viv! BAZ
