Fun Fact: Cannabis also greatly reduces REM sleep as well. It's how I actually get to sleep most nights and it keeps some of the PTSD nightmares from getting as bad as they do without it.
True: I work in the industry and have also had various problems were cannabis products helped the side effects significantly. It doesn’t take it away but it definitely helps and for sleep I’ve had many restful nights because of it
The only problem with cannabis is when you do wanna stop you will not be able to sleep the first week and in one case I felt like my feet and back would get the cold sweats and my palms stayed sweating for a year straight but when I started to smoke again it went away that’s the only reason I suggest to go cold turkey unless u really can’t sleep go for it but I wouldn’t use before sleep it definitely helps but as a chronic user your sleep patterns can change drastically
I drove asleep. I got out of bed, got my keys and left the house. I was awakened while driving by a cop who gotten numerous complaints of a drunk driver! I was approx. 12 miles from my house. I remember vaguely thinking as I was driving "I gotta get off here. I gotta get off here." but I didn't. However, I somehow got on 2 different highways!
My husband sometimes sits up at night freaking out that he sees something in the hallway. His eyes are open and keeps saying he sees a shadow until I have to shake him "awake!" Then he is calm and passes back out. 😂 Scares me more than him!
My first husband used to get out of bed, get on his hands and knees to look under the bed and would try and find “kittens that were screaming under the bed “! Another time I woke up to him digging through his dresser drawer trying to find a specific yellow T-shirt! He hardly ever remembered these incidents. Used to freak me out!
I often have dreams, when I fall back asleep in between my alarms, where I get up, get dressed and go to work. I always get really mad when I wake up and have to do it all over again. Although I do tend to wear the outfit I wore in the dream if I have it. 🤷🏻♀️
That's happened to me before! It was exhausting. Work was so hard in the dream, and when I work up I was just exhausted. Then had to actually get up and go do in real life the physical exhausting work my job entails. Absolutely terrible.
Trying to overcome bronchitis and have been to the Dr. twice in 2 weeks… I’ve been prescribed steroids this time and simply CAN NOT sleep ! All I want to do eat! I do feel it’s helping but I’m very irritable. Oh - and my kitten( who cuddles and sleeps next to me) seems to dream and move her paws while sleeping like dogs sometimes do…
STOP. He got me at the 9ish minute mark and I wanna freaking talk about it. When he talked about the "Exploding head" thing, it blew my mind because I thought it was just me cause I tend to have super vivid dreams more times than not... But now I am learning that this happens to others and has an actual name? Wow. I cant tell you HOW many times ive jump up out of bed because of some random explosion that takes place in my dream. It is SO freaking loud that my brain immediately snaps back to reality in one big sudden shift. It is JARRING lol, cause one second I am deeply alseep and the next second I am on my feet, awake and HYPER aware of my surroundings. Sometimes I am even crying and fro the life of me I cant remember why.
Yup same with me. Nice to know I'm not as crazy as I thought! I also recently learned others also see colors when thinking about a word or reading words. I'm getting less mentally ill every day lol.
Wow, yeah that’s definitely unique. I’ve never had that happen to me. Whenever I hear a loud noise in my dream I usually just stay asleep. One night an actual tree fell near my house because it got struck by lightning. I was still asleep. My brain just interpreted it as something that happened in my dream. I have woken up out of fear before, but not from a loud sound. Does it happen to you frequently?
@AllyJ1141 That's not exactly what exploding head syndrome is. EHS is a condition that happens right before/at the moment you should fall asleep. More like an audio hallucination than a dream. Not saying your experiences are any less valid or troublesome! But having strong reactions to dreams that wake you up are still a slightly different thing from EHS
I randomly have instances (while sleeping) of me jumping outta bed thinking I left my car in drive and its gonna hit the house or something like that. Or my body just jerks for no reason.
i've had 4 surgeries that i woke up halfway through. the others i wake up immediately after.. scaring the recovery nurse to death...i usually ask if i can go to my room now and the answer is always no... they have to monitor me for at least 20 minutes. then they ask me why am i awake?!!

I have insomnia, sleep talking, and exploding head syndrome. Also one of exes reported to me that she had to use all of her strength just to hold me down while thrashing around and I don't think a 130 pound guy like myself has much power to begin with. Another thing that happens to me is sometimes I'll be fighting someone in my dream and wake up with a bruised foot from kicking the wall full force. I need a sleep clinic. 😅 I remember breaking my left tibial plateau just below the knee before the joint and when that happened I felt nothing at first and tried to walk and the aching started because before I broke it, some idiot was riding on the sidewalk and nearly hit me wiitj his bike. An argument ensued and adrenaline was pumping through my system already so I felt nothing when I slipped on ice while pretending to chase him. I get about 9 and a half hours of sleep a night. If I get less I’ll be less productive. I admit I’ve wet the bed twice as an adult. That was because I was in an extremely deep sleep both times and I have no medical issues that would cause it. I had a dream one night and the next night my dream picked up where it left off. Also I have experienced having dreams inside of a dream. I’d eventually realize I’m asleep and it feels like I have to make the same type of push as if I was constipated. It doesn’t hurt, but it’s uncomfortable. Sometimes I see that when I wake up from the dream I’m dreaming about the surroundings kind of fade into what it should look like, but that’s just a false awakening. I’d eventually realize that I’m still asleep so I have to make the push again to wake myself up.

Sleep deprived delirium is no joke aswell. Had it after 3 days of no eating and sleeping. Was hallucinating atm, been on diazepam for a week which didnt help much with sleeping. Still only sleeping for 3ish hours a night from sunrise hours, ongoing for atleast 2 minths. Wouldnt wish this manic depressive episode w/ delirium on anybody.
Go 5 days with little to no sleep, and endure the hallucinations. In other words, seek help before doing what I did. I had bronchitis that wouldn't allow me to sleep. I should have sought assistance. Avoid steroids, even if an ER doctor orders them. Trust me, that's not what you need, and can cause fierce complications later. The brain needs at least a couple hours downtime to reboot and regular snooze times. Also, not everyone who drinks alcohol experience drowsiness. Best to avoid it.
Once I went 2 straight days without sleep. I was hallucinating noises like music, monkeys, laughter. I’m not sure why it happened, but I was about 11 or 12 at the time and never had it sense
Didn't they debunk the “you can't catch up on sleep” theory? I definitely catch up on sleep. I hate to admit this; I did speed 40 years ago for a year. It took me six months of sleeping and eating (recovering at my parent's house) before I returned to normal. When I worked (before retirement ), I also caught up in sleep due to a turnaround day, one day a week. I've always required more sleep than most. My partner would get upset when I needed a nap before going out. A few nights of bitchiness, and no more complaining about my rest. Lol
It is correct! You will not be able to catch up. In fact, if you're not weary, do something that will bore you. I have acute high functioning insomnia a sleeplessness with no visual or cognitive symptoms for the first 4-5 days. It's not good, but I'm a nurse and that has no bearing on my employment because I am subjected to cognitive testing if I stay awake for more than 30 hours.
For those of you with chronic insomnia.... Stop the sleep meds, stop stressing about the sleep " u should be getting"...and embrace the idea that actually you maybe one of those people who don't need as much sleep!!! My whole life I fought sleep..making my self sleep with medications, and anything that said helps with sleep
This is terrible advice. You don't EVER TELL ANYONE TO STOP TAKING ANY KIND OF PRESCRIBED MEDICATION WITHOUT THEM FIRST SPEAKING WITH THEIR DOCTOR. That's not only common sense, but one of the first things any physician tells you after prescribing you something meant for long term, like sleep meds. I have PTSD and I still have night terrors so I am prescribed Remeron for the flashbacks and night terrors. It makes me not dream but I still can't sleep more then an hour or 2 and I'm so exhausted it's made me depressed for the last year. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. If I just stopped taking my remeron, I'd have the flashbacks and night terrors again. It's definitely not as simple as "you probably just don't need much sleep" just because that was your own case. Smfh worst advice I've ever seen given... goes right along with someone recommending e.o.l.
Who ever comes from a mexican house hold knows when your sleeping your cat can eat your dream bubble and never wake up or am I just the only one that heard this when we was young 😅
I talk in my sleep all the time; I wake myself up, even. I have such realistic dreams; once, I dreamt I was in a motorcycle wreck. Crying and scared to death, I jumped off the “bike” and slammed into the dresser.
if i get woke up after 1-2 am i will get night terrors and night sweats. taking care of my dad who scoots around in his wheel chair and sleeps all day and is awake all night and juggling that with my brother for schedule. i usually go to bed about this time, 8pm, and wake up about 4. but every night without fail my dad starts scotting his legs and hes awake and alert at night. and he wants to go from bed to toilet to kitchen every 2 minutes. when i stay at his house i cant stay asleep past midnight. i have anxiety / panic disorder which is very complicating. yesterday he simply opened the guest room and i woke up freaking out not knowing where i was and this was just before 2am. i took care of him he just wanted to say hi. he gets bored and lonely because everyone else in this time zone is asleep when he is awake. and when hes snoozing during the day everyone is awake..... its harsh...... sorry for sleep deprived rant......
It does not hurt dying by suffocating from no oxygen when you are trapped in a burning vehicle. It's not hot. The fire consumed the oxygen and your life flashes before your eyes, as if it was a projector movie. When your life is flashing your past, you learn your regrets. When I came back to my senses, the fear is still there, but i accepted my fate with anger, but that was short lived when I turned around to see my two friends in a panic, i immediately forgot about myself, and felt bad for them, because they were young, and they had to live the rest of their lives with the memory of that day. Before dying, you do everything in your power to avoid death. . If you find yourself in that situation, make sure your life is worth watching.
I remember not long after redeploying back stateside from iraq, i had horrible night terrors...and the worst one i broke my arm in two places fighting non-existant entities. Had to re-hang drywall in my room too.
Wait, i thought it was always men who we're more sensitive to pain, because of the whole pushing out a small human thing? Then again, it must be pretty hard to determine since pain is subjective to individuals anyways. I guess the only possible way to test this is to subject people to the same exact messasured stimulus, and then record their subjective responses, but still, things like pain or states or missery can vary depending on experiences. Example, someone whos never broken a bone or experienced something really painful vs someone who never has will have different ideas of what a 10 on the 1 to 10 scale is.
Idk what’s up with my insomnia. I thought it was bad when I was teenage and smoking weed cured me. But now I’m 25 and all of a sudden out of nowhere it’s just back and worse then ever. Nothing works or helps. I’m now typically staying up 72 hour increments and literally passing out(like standing up at work) for 5 hours and back to being awake for another 72. Idk what to do I feel lost 😞
I still remember my first sleep paralysis episode. It was terrifying. I was completely aware of everything, but nothing would respond, no even sound. I thought i was dead.
If I drink a lot I usually feel the need to sleep wherever I am at the moment, I lay down, close my eyes and sleep for hours. I did it in a bar until someone took me out cause it was closing time. It happened just outside of a club near the sidewalk. It happened on the beach. All the times I sleep but it feels like I am trapped in my body. It’s all black and I keep thinking and speaking to myself fully conscious that I am passed out on the floor somewhere. As soon as my body think it’s ready I get up with so much energy I fell I can move a mountain
I was on xanax oxy an many and im almost certai. I didnt dream for a few years in the past... im clean now. I havent been dreaming at all for a few months now
I can remember once, playing gta III, for MANY (19)hours straight, into the night, soo tired, just driving around, switch the camera mode to front bumper pov. Laughed maniacally as peds flew up over hood of car like superman😂😂😂😂
I had dreams of me dying so i also agree that's myth . But i do believe you can have a heart attack because of the thought of dying in a dream. Edit; also i do agree with the working out before sleep. Best sleep and wake up sore
99.768% i sleep on my sides. Also, i CANNOT/REFUSE/HATE sleeping on my stomach. When i sleep on my back, i do snore but im told my snoring isnt loud and not that bad.
I can sleep on either my back or stomach. I prefer my stomach though because I can turn more directly to one of my fans which is more powerful than my other
My exploding head syndrome comes in many sounds, mostly barking dogs, but also train horns, big booms and sensations that feel like a firework has gone off at the base of my spine travels at the speed of light and explodes into the top of my skull from the inside, if you can imagine a firework going off 🎆 inside your skull
I am thankful you shared a blind tip Because that fact is true and I don’t think of taste smell in the sounds that I hear on the daily basis When I dream, I actually see my dreams and it’s weird because I can’t describe it, but I know what I’m actually seeing at least in my dreams
yep if i get at least 3 hours of sleep and get woken up. part of my going back to sleep is loud noises and instead of the falling or drowning thing i experience vivid car crash type things very vivid and terrifying not like the falling/drowning worries i'd have as a kid. and i get panic attacks and start sweating. litterally soaking my sheets. and its not pp. i will sit there with a cold rag on my forehead and keep it on and lay on my back as the video says. or my right side. but my back chest and legs and of course the nether regions alswo get super wet. so sometimes i'll have a chair next to bed with a bowl of water and an extra rag. night terrors are bad but the night sweats are the absolute worst.

Can you make a video about a *what if five A-10 Warthogs and 10 M1 Abrams tanks and time traveled in Ww2?*
First like and comment
Haven’t gotten more than4- 6 hours of sleep during the work week in years
L💓VIN THIS 🌌
Who loves sleeping but hates being woken up in the morning for school?
Wait do you mean sleep 40 years ago for a year or speed? I’m confused lol
hi
bruh that’s why i kept waking up to sneeze last night
😯 7 hours! IMpossible😒
Buttered cigarettes 😭😭😭
🇧🇷🇧🇷 " Uncle Sam ": the world knows how you do play the game.🇧🇷🇧🇷
Finally! New Zealand comes first at something!
Bro I'm watching this at 3 am
I caught your PKD reference 😎 40:33
I hate when I get up and I don’t know what is going to happen in my dream. Have you have that happen to you? I have had that happen, it bugs me.
Wow it's Over this is an all day event here
Did you say "those who make it past 70 usually live longer"? 😂
Please go to the doctor
my brother is having issues with sleep too... its a real pain.
Hot shower before going to bed and weed helps a bit:P
Weed doesn't cure anything. Like saying I started drinking alcohol and cured my shyness or insomnia
I don’t sleep. My other eye remains open throughout the rest of the night. Still haven’t encountered my sleep paralysis demon at this point.
The same eye the whole night or do you alternate through the night
I still remember my first sleep paralysis episode. It was terrifying. I was completely aware of everything, but nothing would respond, no even sound. I thought i was dead.
Best thing to watch since I suffer from PTSD & Insomnia 🤷🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
6:34 the older i get the more sleep i need
If I drink a lot I usually feel the need to sleep wherever I am at the moment, I lay down, close my eyes and sleep for hours. I did it in a bar until someone took me out cause it was closing time. It happened just outside of a club near the sidewalk. It happened on the beach. All the times I sleep but it feels like I am trapped in my body. It’s all black and I keep thinking and speaking to myself fully conscious that I am passed out on the floor somewhere. As soon as my body think it’s ready I get up with so much energy I fell I can move a mountain
Is there anything worse than being 49 and dreaming you're back in highschool and you forgot to do your homework???😂😂😂😊
Kicked him off the flight for sleeping with his eyes open? That's some bull
Watching this right before going sleep gang 👇

QUESTION: SO DID PEOPLE DREAM BEFORE TELEVISION? IF SO, WERE THOSE DREAMS IN COLOR OR BLACK AND WHITE?
You should make the info about the Iss it’s very own video!
falling asleep though this video
Oh f*c* 5 hours fac video that is insane
I can remember once, playing gta III, for MANY (19)hours straight, into the night, soo tired, just driving around, switch the camera mode to front bumper pov. Laughed maniacally as peds flew up over hood of car like superman😂😂😂😂
I wonder what it would be like to pass away while your sleeping, and not in a dream like actually pass away.
Like nothing? You’d be unconscious and die hahahaha cmon
Its unfair, so you get a second chance to roam the earth looking for who caused your death like in Ghost
I can speak fluently in Spanish, but only when I am inebriated.
I had dreams of me dying so i also agree that's myth . But i do believe you can have a heart attack because of the thought of dying in a dream.
Edit; also i do agree with the working out before sleep. Best sleep and wake up sore
Never once in my life have I fallen asleep without being awake for at least an hour beforehand. I definitely dream in color.
99.768% i sleep on my sides. Also, i CANNOT/REFUSE/HATE sleeping on my stomach. When i sleep on my back, i do snore but im told my snoring isnt loud and not that bad.
I like sleeping on my stomach, but my back kills me the morning after
@@Chronosmaster002 EXACTLY. That's why i don't sleep on my stomach haha
i sleep mostly on stomach, but i toss and turn a lot to both sides so ive never had issues with sleep related pain@@Chronosmaster002
I am thankful you shared a blind tip Because that fact is true and I don’t think of taste smell in the sounds that I hear on the daily basis When I dream, I actually see my dreams and it’s weird because I can’t describe it, but I know what I’m actually seeing at least in my dreams
not me using this video to fall asleep to 😭😂
I'm 17 and I hate myself for neglecting my sleep, I slept like 3 hours today, I spent the whole night watching tv and scrolling tiktok
I get about 4 hours of sleep a day it’s 12:39pm at night and gotta wake up at 4 am for work but watching ur video
yep if i get at least 3 hours of sleep and get woken up. part of my going back to sleep is loud noises and instead of the falling or drowning thing i experience vivid car crash type things very vivid and terrifying not like the falling/drowning worries i'd have as a kid. and i get panic attacks and start sweating. litterally soaking my sheets. and its not pp. i will sit there with a cold rag on my forehead and keep it on and lay on my back as the video says. or my right side. but my back chest and legs and of course the nether regions alswo get super wet. so sometimes i'll have a chair next to bed with a bowl of water and an extra rag. night terrors are bad but the night sweats are the absolute worst.
I can't sleep because of your video
Sometimes right before I fall asleep like I’m nearly there my body tenses up and wakes me up
