Vector Prime is to the Transformers as the Watcher was to Marvel. He was supposed to be an observer, but he chose to act on the knowledge of what could happen if he did nothing. I suppose, in a way, Primus wanted him to become this. Not just an observer, but a protector to all.
I remember waking up early at 5am to watch this before school, and I was DEVASTATED when I watched this one. I’m 26 in less than a month and it still brings me to tears
Vector prime didn't actually die he still lives spiritually he just lost his physical body and became one with the universe or time as the shows puts it in a way he basically leaves everybody to join with the space and time but will always be in the need of others when the situation would need him again like the final battle with Optimus and Galvatron lending his sword to finish the fight.
I hate the fact that everyone is saying that Transformers Prime was better than this show but that show was made in 2005 and Transformers Prime was made in 2012
I'm so glad they did not clutter the ending scene with unnecessary dialogue like they usually do with every other scenes in this version of the show. There are some that wasn't there in the original, but it's not enough to ruin the moment, and I kinda respect that for it.

When I was little I loved Vector prime. He was so caring, calm and wise. He always knew what to say or what to do, and when this episode came on, I actaully had the same reaction as Bud had in the beginning, but now that im older, im crying like a little baby.. Why didn't vector prime go back in time to stop galvatron escaping with the omega lock that would have been simpilar seeing as galvatron was injured after the battle with Starscream.
Primus was created by Primos, an alien, who also created Unicorn. Primus created 13 original Transformers; Vector Prime is one of those 13 transformers.
Well, technically, since he's travelled outside of time for an eternity, that means he's already lived forever, so when he dies he'd have lived an eternity and still be alive, even though he is dead in the present. Time travel gives me such a headache.
if he goes to the past, he would never have had to sacrifice himself, so he never would have died, which means he did die, so if you ask me, all this mould edstroy space and time. sheesh.
