Just got done applying the metallic decals. Bit stressful since a few times one of the small metal lines was slightly off because it stuck weird. But it all looks great after being careful and taking my time. Going to start wiring up the kit tomorrow.

The black decal is supposed to go outside of the piece. It's just a preference whether you want your decal inside or outside. I put my decals inside

Just adding to this. The black decal is the "easier" option.
So they give you a choice of doing it the easy way or the pretty way, basically.

for the shiny decals, is the part facing down on the sheet the part that’s supposed to stick on the inside of the permet score parts? and then the diffusing paper sticks on top of the shiny decal?

Thanks for making this. I do have a question: should the decal adhesive be touching the clear part? The non-adhesive shine reflects more light, but it's a weird fit for me...

The silver of the decals should be touching you're clear parts

I would advise to just follow the closest. You can to what I did in the video.
I didn't use any water I just simply peeled and placed
