Best tutorial explaining how monitoring works.
I never thought of sending the MIDI to a 2nd track.

I haven't seen anyone play in the mpc like that. I've seen a lot of sampling. I've seen a lot of finger drumming. But i haven't seen anyone hook up a midi controller and play chords with the sounds in the box. Did people do this with the 3000 and the 2000XL?

Another Great video, Ben! I've always wondered what I could do with those variables but never took the time to read up on their actual functions. This video explains it simply and concisely now and I will use these functions a lot more rather than just copying the tracks so quickly. Plus, your last trick for previewing drums made me curious as to whether this midi routing method would allow the user to actually play the pads while hearing both drum kits at once?

That sound is gorgeous. Lush. It makes me want to learn this Live 2. But I'm not vibing with it yet, being so new to it. I think I'm going to have to print out the user manual to the mpc live 2unit and mpc 2 software, FL Studio, and Cakewalk by Bandlab manual so i can study them. It's daw overload. Instrument overload. Drum overload. And plugin overload.... lol... and it's my fault.
I'm trying to get good ingredients, then i have to learn how to use the right pots and pans, and the proper techniques to start cooking up that good food. If that makes sense. I'll have a beat ready about 5 years from now... lol.jk.
Another good video. Well done sir.

I think that's a nice idea if that's the way you learn.
