- The follow up to my previous video. This is indeed from the results of the Story Boss Ranking Poll I had in my community tab. Do what you will with the numbers. If this video feels different from others, it is because my commentary on the bosses here is unscripted and just open thoughts.

Background footage is on custom BCU stages made by Sugadee, with exception to the last one with Baron Hyppoh being made by myself.

Just wanted to say keep it up! battle cats community doesn't have many people like you in it and it's very refreshing to see content like this.
another 30 minute video. this guy is both extremely prolific and entertaining. usually those two are mutually exclusive, but apparently that's not the case here.
Back when the poll was up, I hadn't fought Idi yet, from that point to when this video was released, I have fought Idi and absolutely love the boss. Idi single handedly made me sooo much better at bahamut chaining in general and the dopamine hit from finally seeing her turn into a little wispy soul after getting destroyed for an hour was unmatched. Very good boss, wish I could play it again.

Fun fact about Filibuster's bossfight:
The song actually takes 40 seconds to loop which is exactly the amount of time it takes for Filibuster to attack.

What a coincidence that the two rusher legend bosses have highest scores, Idi:re for highest weighted, and Raging Bahamut for highest unweighted.
Super late comment but I gotta say that suteki meppou is a great choice for background music, it loops incredibly, which makes sense because it was made to loop during dialogue in the Monogatari Series (which is where my pfp is from, I'm biased).

I have to confess something
When i first heard that the Cat God was the final boss for cat of the cosmos, i thought that you only fighted him at the end of the final chapter of that storymode, and that when you killed the first phase and hurted the base a bit, the second phase would come out and the same thing with the third one
I dunno, it made sense to me for it to be a back to back fight with all 3 phases in the same level, considering 1) it was Cat God 2) It was the absolute final boss

I feel like the narrator was biased on the giga god segment. I personally like the boss for 3 reasons:
1. His stage is relatively easy, but still takes time, so there's a spectacle to it.
2. His attack animation looks cool.
3. I like the music and background.(I know the other 2 stages had this too, but it looks cooler with a cooler looking boss.)

canned i'm curious i'm currently desperately trying to beat suga tower floor 8 and i was focusing on the bg gameplay at 12:32 to 20:52. how did you get your units to survive hits from the eva 13 or whatever its called
the stage is built around a custom unit called "terrorizer" which looks like a ghost doge in the custom units tab. i used this unit, and what it does is that it knocks back your units for 4f, allowing you to time it to make unit-13 miss.
I love how nobody is talking about how 117 people didnt fight God 3, yet 114 didnt fight Fillibuster. So 3 people somehow skipped God 3.

He might be a pushover of a boss but he still gets cool points from me (like with Filibuster)

Just wanna put in my own opinion: Cli-One honestly in my opinion was one of my least favorite bosses, this is because the stage right before it is much harder without feeling cheap, because of this, when you fight Nimoy Bore is exciting, exhilarating, it’s a difficulty spike similar to Bun Bun, and it does this without feeling overpowered or unfair…
Then you get to the moon and cli-one is there, she does pitiful damage, doesn’t have that much health and gets knocked back all the time, it’s just such a severe falloff from the last battle that it sours the experience, top this all off with a pretty simple blank design and you get utter garbage
I think he people who voted that they didn't fight the face or Nyandam were just trolls or people who did the poll for no reason
I think the 2 people that voted that they haven’t fought the face yet probably watched one of your other series and decided to give you a laugh by joining in as a joke

Personally, the IDI fight was my favorite stage in the whole game. I'm honestly sad it's not replayable.
Ain't no way 40% of ppl have actually gotten to Metafilibuster and had opinions on the boss fight (also the dislike/neutral ratio would be a lot higher). If ppl were actually that good it would be impossible to score high in the Dojo or whenever events like the Underground Labyrinth are on.
I suggest you take the rankings with a grain of salt because I think a lot of people are just voting based on RUclips videos they watched of the boss, and are nowhere near the actual boss
i think a lot of ppl don't truly play a lot of extra stages, metafilibuster isn't truly an extra stage

the sad part is that you can play idi only once, I went into it with UL legends true forms and absolutely destroyed it, it wasnt even fun
IMO the best boss is Cli-One. You need to rush into her blind spot while using other cats to deal with the strong peons. Yes, I am quite early-game.

@@MamutaBCU same, like my Catilites didnt die when close by. And the animation made it look like they had a blind spot. I also beat the stage first try, so I checked the wiki, and relised that Catilite is just very tanky aginst Aliens.

My least favorite was chapter 2 nyandam, and I feel like the reason isn't obvious. I feel like it doesn't have a purpose. Chapter 2 is just chapter 1 again but harder, and then you finally get to the moon again and you get a new boss. And what is it? A slow, low kb count, slow attack speed, high damage per hit, high hp boss. Just like the face, but again. Sure, it's red instead of floating, but that doesn't really change anything. The range increase changes a few interactions but not many. It doesn't have insanely strong peons or a tiny stage or a timer or gimmicks. If chapter 2 never existed as a whole, I don't think the game would be any different. That is my issue with nyandam.
my issue with Nyandam is that he gets bullied by everything later in the game (gets even more fun with Courier). the rest of the bosses at least stay a bit threatening, Nyandam becomes essentially free cash imo
for me it was jagando cause MY GOD I CANNOT EVEN GET STARTED ON HOW ANNOYING HE WAS PRE-11.5
@@mlody_cebulathe red trait as a whole has become severely powercrept compared to any other trait. it's probably the most common target trait you'll see on a cat, esp. special/rare/super rare. most red enemies are trivial to deal with as a result because you get a wide range of counters against them.

lil nyandam is the lamest boss in the game, at that point in the game you have crazed whale that completely kills the stage leaving no good impression for the player

I don’t understand the amount of space between hermit and mech-bun, considering they are essentially the same boss. They are both easily cheesable and the stage desisgn is very similiar, yet hermit is 5th and mecha-bun is 27th
when fighting both bosses their intended way hermit is way funner and the stage design is not similar at all

I don’t understand the amount of space between hermit and mech-bun, considering they are essentially the same boss. They are both easily cheesable and the stage desisgn is very similiar, yet hermit is 5th and mecha-bun is 27th
I think the problem with Mecha Bun Bun is that the way you beat him, is less interesting. You stack up crowd control units and then face the units, and that’s it. It’s not that interesting and considering Mecha Bun Bun is supposed to be the final boss of SOL, it’s very disappointing. It also doesn’t help that the unit you get also sucks, so the reward payoff isn’t that great.
Hermit on release was a challenging but rewarding experience when you beat him. Even now, with power creep, he still has a much more interesting fight, because you still need to be careful and cautious with your units. There’s also other factors, like his boss fight not having as high expectations as Mecha Bun Bun’s, player opinion/biases and others.
TL;DR: Mecha Bun Bun is less interesting, and was a disappointing finale, while Hermit is an interesting and tense fight on release and still holds some of that glory today.
