  • For the last 3 weeks I set a trap on the public internet to catch hackers. Using a Honeypot I collected data about thousands of Cyber Attacks, and in this video I'm hunting out the hackers who fell for my trap. I'll show you how to deploy your own Honeypots, how to trick hackers, and ill walk you through the investigation of logs I collected to expose the hackers.

I have conducted a few of these experiments, I create a few fake ssh server, mail servers, rest endpoints, all I wanted to collect attack patterns turns out most of these "hackers" used opensource tooling wordlist and scripts are so common so the patterns were really predictable, it is really rare to get a actual un common attack pattern

Could it be a bluff to hide something more subtle though?

This video gave me a broader insight on honeypots, informative, functional and made me curious on how to build my own. If I may, can you produce a tutorial in your spare time? Thank you for producing this video, looking forward to your future content.

@@trnchreaper Go for ur bachelors trust me ur not getting a job without it(while chasing ur bachelors, U NEED TO DO INTERNSHIPS!!!). Start studying for the Security+. Use uCertify to study for it they have amazing virtual labs environments and projects(thats just my recommendation, u could find others if u'd like). Focus on being able to articulate ur knowledge(that seperates u from the rest). The internships r the most important thing for you. If you get lucky u could land a job from the internship, network with the company and be so useful to them that you can basically stop pursuing ur degree and keep the job.

@@trnchreaper set up a lab environment through virtual box or VMware and start trying to hack into your own machines, start with like Windows XP and metasploitable, then, work your way up to more complex builds. Document what you’re doing so you can have proof of what you did
