Hey bro this is awesome. Is this the level of knowledge necessary to break in and maintain a level 1 SOC analyst position? I started with HTML, CSS and JS for front end web dev, got the basics and moved onto IOS dev Xcode, Swift, UI Kit as it was what I was ultimately interested in and got he basics as well, yet job market crashed for software engineers. I also have been learning basics of networking as well in my IT bachelors degree program and decided to fully switch all my efforts to Cybersecurity in hope of breaking in here before it gets overly saturated. Switched the degree program to Cybersecurity BS and doing Cybersecurity Google cert parallel to that while just hoping and praying that I am able to succeed and break in in time as there is much hype in IT and much competition. Im 35 now. Its good to see a successful young guy as yourself staying healthy and intellectually strong, growing and succeeding.

I would say it would depend on what job in cyber security not every company will require u to code for a day to day and if ur resourceful enough u can figure out the essentials via google while on the job Theres vulnerability management roles that would only require u to be really good at 1 tool (tenable security center, acas, Qualys, etc) Day to day could be onboarding devices on the network or creating scans and reports. MEETINGS N MEETINGS I can go on for a long time and that's only scratching the surface in the amount of different jobs are available in security.

In my country people do internships during the summer so people prob gon be searching a lot the months before. My plans are to learn as much as possible from my classes and probably do self study on free time to learn more about what we were taught. I heard doing projects is also good so be interested because even if you don't know anything you will learn a lot from projects
