Sarah seemed to ALWAYS find the most beautiful melodies from all sources! Broadway, standards, bossa nova, avant garde, French, current pop tunes, just everything!
I had no idea she ever performed this. It's also interesting that this is from way back in the 60's, since this sounds more like her fuller, richer 70's/80's voice.
Imagine having this voice inside of you. This kind of talent. My fav version of this has always been Tony Bennett’s but this is an absolutely beautiful take.
How her interruption of this song is right on. It makes you feel the lyrics. Her ability is shown on everything she does, but the concert that validates her ability the most is THE POEMS OF POPE JOHN II.
@@sassysblues1736 thank you so much. I love how there are so many full Sarah shows out there, we keep getting more and more from all her different eras, I just absolutely love it !
Sarah has quite a technical yet very emotional style of vocal delivery. Her voice had so much soul, texture and body.
The human voice cannot get better than this.

The Greatest of The Greats!
Every time I hear a new Sarah song it’s as though Heaven reaches down to earth
She was so ahead of her time. Yet she is timeless❤.
She was on Time!

She was totally in a league of her very own! The lady had so much music in her VOICE...she was small, but had a big phenomenal VOICE.
No one has a tone and pitch like sarah
Flawless! Every time I think I've heard her best, something like this shows up. One of the best performances I've ever heard!❤
Again, I want to thank Sassy'sBlues for its existence.
❤️
Lets pray to the lord and ask him to return Sarah to us.
I knew this was going to be good. Listen, pay very close attention to a Master of her Craft. Unbelievably good!
It's something about her voice in the mid/late 60s. It was SO elegant in this period.
A voice that heals. Utter bliss
Listening to this phenomenal lady makes me feel less lonely, what talent she had. 🙂❤
You can't teach this. It's a born gift
That was magnificent.
A magnificent vocalist who still lives in our hearts.

Wow! A Blast from my past. I was a sophomore in High School in 1967 and Memories light the corners of my mind.❤❤❤

Sassy doesn't need a mic here. Her sound alone could fill an auditorium
That was amazing and so was the pianist, who is it?
Gary Burton of the Gary Burton Quartet
💜
This is unbelievable…..extinct talent.
“Extinct.”
Perfectly put!
♥️. SARAH V FOREVER!
They called her the divine one..might not do her justice.
Was Sarah pregnant at this time or not ?
Sarah wasn’t able to bear kids of her own. She had one adopted daughter named Debra whom she adopted in 1960
@@sassysblues1736I think she went by the stage name, “Paris Vaughan”.
Classy Sassy always marvelous. I am possessed by this voice. MJEKANA - check her with Michel Legrand. Damned good!!
