We need part 2!! This video teaches us an important message not to compare ourselves to other peoples (the estate agent and the two rich men should be content about what they have).
Man oh man, these are the types of videos people of the newer generation need. I’m not trying to be mean or rude or anything like that, but I’m just saying that as time progresses, the basic things that should be valued tend to become overlooked and we don’t even consider their impact on it daily lives. Family is definitely one of the things that fall into this category for sure❤️
Yes this video reminds me of an old video were a person went form one person and then to another and learned to appreciate what they have and it's quite good that some newer videos are like remakes of old videos
“The reason most of us aren’t happy is because we obsess so much over all the things we don’t have that we forget to appreciate the things that we don’t have” inspiring and beautiful quote! Notice how everyone they say “I wish I could have that” but also say “I would definitely love to have this lifestyle” definitely good message!
“The reason most of us aren’t happy… it’s because we obsess so much over all the things we don’t have, that we forget to appreciate the things that we do have.” Well said. Amen to that. 💜🙏🏼
And really life is not about the stuff you own, but the relationships you form. It's better to be lower middle class and be dearly loved with strong bonds of humanity, than to be a billionaire and be obsessed over some dumb yacht! 🤪
Hits the spot. Somedays I find myself complaining about what I didn’t have and then I realize I have a roof over my head and good health. I catch myself slipping
Hey Dhar. It would be nice to make a part 2 of this video. I would like to see when someone kindhearted comes and helps the poor people in this video (Amani and Jordan living in house without power, Janice and Griff living in car without gas to move around, homeless man living in streets). It's sad seeing life of homeless and poor people struggling to survive and being grateful as much as possible. I would also like to see when Mrs. Adams learns how to be grateful about everything she has.
Let me give you a summary of this video, not trying to be rude. He's jealous of her. Her son is jealous of her. She's jealous of her. She's jealous of her. She's jealous of him. He's jealous of him. And he's jealous of his neighbour.
Exactly. This is why I’ve always tried to be grateful for the things I have and give to the people that I can. Because if you brag about how much you have, you might lose it all one day. You should never stand too high.
bc the homeless man is grateful for what he has and he has happiness but the rich dude isn't gratful and he just wants more so he has no happiness i think
"The reason most of us aren't happy is because we obsess so much over all the things that we don't have that we forget to appreciate the things that we do have." Well said ! We should always appreciate and be grateful for everything that we have. There are people out there in the world who barely get past the day. Also, never compare yourself with anyone as comparison only steals your happiness. This is a heart-touching video ! Amazing video Dhar ! ❤
This just shows to show how from high-class to low class how people value certain things. From a full luxury apartment to a small blanket and a pillow on the streets of a busy Los Angeles, things do change.
I will say, there is a difference between always wanting what someone else has and feeling upset because you are struggling. Sure we can always be grateful for the things we have, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be upset because you lost your apartment or your car AC went out. The “well at least it’s not the worst it can get” mentality really never helped me when I was struggling and tbh kinda would jinx my life lol. Just throwing this out there for anyone who has heard the toxic dismissive “someone has it worse than you so stop feeling bad” line one too many times 👍
Gradiitude for what you have now, and desire to improve your own situation are always a good thing. Wanting what someone else has more then you, more expensive, more of anything you lack, always leads to unhappiness.
Yeah, this video was not a good example of this. There was a better example in another Dhar Man video with the same message. It worked better because everyone in the video had a functional life.
"If I had one, I'd be happy." Sad we put so much value on physical things. This is so true about most of society today. It's not the things or stuff that brings happiness. It's the connection of healthy, positive relationships with friends, family, animals, and others in general that make life satisfying. Unfortunately, too many don't remember this until something tragic happens.
This story really humbled me. I found another quote, "it is only with gratitude that life becomes rich". I'm 16 and I don't have my own phone yet but I do have a Samsung S6 lite. I used to always get mad for not having my own phone when everyone in my grade does but now I realize there are people my age and older who never even had a device to access everything thing I get to. So thanks!
I really like what the homeless man said because he’s definitely grateful. I agreed 100% with him that so many people are unhappy because they focus on the things they don’t have. Better to appreciate what you already have.
The moral of the story is that people are never grateful for what they have rather they look onto to people who are way wealthier than them and don't realize that there are people who die for the things that they do have so plz always appreciate what you have since you don't know that there are many people out there who don't even have those luxuries that you do have.
