This collaboration of conductor and soloist is so ideal. They are both of the same musical background and education. And of course they are naturally harmonious being of like kind generation. Thank God that they agreed to the strict tempi given to the orchestra and that they stucked with it.
Very nice performance! I do not think I've listened to anyone else play this in a very long time. For me, this Brahms and André Watts are synonymous. I did enjoy this performance, however.
The Best Brahms concerto no 2 players are Really=Sviatoslav Richter with The Paris Orchestra from 1969 Richter the most monumental and Best structure for music better than Bronfman or Watts! Edwin Fischer from 1942 Fischer the big Genius better than Bronfman or Watts! Grigory Sokolov his Brahms no 2 with Finnish Radio Symphony video from 1987 had the Best piano sound better than Bronfman or Watts! Sokolov his rhythmic vitalness is unbeatable! Sokolov the most Titanic Brahms no 2!
@@wocomoMUSICthanks for the efforts but you still write "Most ... conducts ... Tragic overture" in the paragraph part of the text + " most conducts yefim ..." is a bit of a strange way of stating a conductor conducting a concerto: conductors don't conduct soloists; they collaborate with them. Anyway. I will delete my comments at the end of today in order not to busy the comment section with textual concerns. All the best and again thanks for the upload!
So happy to see Bronfman again! I love his recording of Rach 2 and 3.
He's wonderful isn't he!
Recently caught his master class with Bachauer. Loved it.
Brilliant Bronfman!! Fantastic as usual. More please.

@@RaineriHakkarainen thank you for your input. To each his own.
Video info text misidentifies the work as Tragic Overture; it is Piano Concerto n. 2.
Thanks for the upload.
This is because two pieces were performed at the concert. The description has been corrected.

Music for when you want to get mad.
2012
Compete with Josh and Woody
In what beer drinking, whining, and complain how our female partners are not sexually generous
A very bad mono recording, impossible to listen to
But amazing performance
