I’ve Mained maul for a long time, I have 2 things about his star cards to say. 1 his light saber defence also gives you 60% damage reduction while spinning (for all damage not just blaster) and 2. The more damage on saber throw card is better than the range as the extra range kind of makes an already risky move more risky since you take damage and can’t block (unlike Vader) while throwing

If you’re playing maul never stop moving, it’s a good idea to mix his spin attacks with dodges and his regular attacks. You make it a lot more difficult for players to pinpoint where to aim or anticipate where you’re going and that’ll give you many opportunities to cause some good damage quick.

Love that when you showed the HVV gameplay and I saw anakin on the other team I instantly knew he'd just stay in the middle of the room pulling and heroic mighting
My favorite thing about Maul is that you can basically drop in and drop out without them even realizing what's happening. He's really fast with his throw and spin, and by the time you're done with them, they hardly had a chance to process.
I used to watch your channel for hours when I was leveling up all my troopers and heroes. Then I finally unlocked every character and vehicles star cards to the max and got every character and vehicle to the gold level and I haven’t played this game as much as I used too.
Some ppl might not agree w these cards, but I run both saber throw cards and flow motion. I’ve found that when you play real aggressive, and can dodge around enemy blasters effectively, you wouldn’t need lightsaber defense. I’d recommend this for HVV only

I also usually use Fool Me Once, as it gets rid of the negative effect of Flow Motion and it also gives your other abilities 10% shorter cooldown time as well, but the Lightsaber Defense card is also very useful in another way in that it gives you 60% damage reduction to all attacks while spinning

It happened to me once in a match right after a Kenobi used a mind trick on me and I thought he was hacking or something. I'm very shocked by the fact that this is percieved as a common bug since It has never happened to me since then.
honestly i think darth maul's forceful thrust card when fully maxed out is insanely op, it can literally allow you to throw someone across a small open map like Tippa hive on HvV and I remember back when the game was relatively new this card was far better and i think it got nerfed a bit but its still soo good to use. The choke hold doesn't do much damage but, it does enough that it allows you to throw someone out of a fight and focus your efforts more closely onto another hero or say someone else that's bothering you thats why this card that increases its throw is so much better, I remember one time I was literally able to throw Anakin and Han solo out of a fight so i could then kill the damaged General Kenobi I was currently fighting so that way it doesn't turn into say 3v1 because my team wasn't at my position yet to help me and then i was able to finish him off with a couple of dash attacks and a retreated spin attack. Back before HvV was reworked, this card was evermore useful, it allowed you to either do with what scenario I talked about which was to literally throw certain people out of an engagement to then in the meantime not be a problem or it allowed you to do something even more disgusting to win the game, which was to literally throw every single grouped up hero off of the map including the targeted Hero on the higher altitude maps like Kashyk or Kamino it was almost guaranteed that you would be able to do it with the card regardless of how far you are from the target within that said range. I laughed when everyone said "Anakin and Obiwan are OP" and that Darth maul finally got a lightsaber block ability for the first time because now Darth maul at that point was practically still kind of Over powered, as you could just do something like this and still be so agile and deadly much like Yoda but on a bit less team supportive based scale
My star card loadout for Maul Trooper based : lightsaber defense, flow motion and fool me once (reduces abilities cooldown) HvV : ranged throw, accelerated throw (more damage on lightsaber throw) and fool me once
Fool Me Once is a bugged/broken card. I don’t remember what is bugged about it but you shouldn't use it. I can offer some better loadout. For large scale famemodes I reccomend Lightsaber Defence, Flow Motion and Ranged Throw. Ranged Throw is to insure you get much more concistent one shots on trooper and to poke at people spamming from further away. For HVV type modes you should use Flow Motion, Furious Throw and the card that increases the area of effect of the choke. That is to surprise enemies who don't block, thinking they are safe. Furious Throw is to deal more damage with the throw and it's much better than Ranged Throw since you are usually close to enemies.
Great guide, but the lightsaber defense card is bugged so instead of 16% damage reduction from blasters, you get 60% damage reduction during spin attack. Because of this, lightsaber defense is good in hero showdown too
You actually get 16% damage reduction from blasters still, the 60% spin attack reduction is an added bonus. I have a video on my channel that has in-game footage as proof
@@eliashelfer2740 I hate Anakin so on principle I don’t play as him. The knockdowns are cheap as hell imo. Obviously Kylo has mad knockdowns too but he has less health, he can’t one shot 8 people at once with a button press etc
tips for dueling other lightsaber heroes: if they are blocking, use your saber throw to get some damage on them on the way back even if they block the initial hit and also if they turn around to block the 2nd hit too then that leaves them exposed for a choke throw that you can then spin up to them after using and swing a few times while they're getting up from being ragdolled, and if they just take the 2nd hit for dodge it without turning around you can also spin through them to get behind them and then turn around quickly to get at least 1 swing in on them, and this is all if they're competent. Also if you are trading swings with them you should always try to dodge theirs and use your spin attack to your advantage, and also always use your choke throw to ragdoll them and then spin up to them and get your swings in
I love maul I’m bf2 he feel so fast and hard to kill I always spam the spin move to get out of fights or just charge at the enemy also love spinning on the enemy then use the throw move to finish them off very satisfying
You guys should all give SAVAGE a try. It is one of the most underrated cards in my opinion. Even if you don’t use flow motion, it’s not that hard to spin one way at 2 enemies and then spin back the other way, kill those enemies, and then have your spin attacks instantly recharged. I have a 556 level Maul btw and I’ve tested all his cards, just saying 🤷♂️
My favourite Maul star card is “Fool me once”, making the recharge rate for all 3 of Maul’s abilities 9% faster. Since he is so reliant on his amazing abilities, this makes it easier to really run people down in all game modes.
Yoda and Maul both share the benefit of having quick recharging mobility abilities that really make them the most fun saber heroes in the game. Such agility lets you put yourself into situations where other heroes would die quickly and escape almost unharmed, and once you learn to ration these abilities you can basically never die as these heroes. Even Jetroopers will struggle to kill you, which are usually punish overextending heroes quite handily
As a novice player i use starcards in the lines of Furious throw (+30 dmg), lightsaber defence and lastly flow motion. I swap cards between Furious throw and Thrown to slow (+40 dmg to choke hold when +2 opponents affected
Mail has been my main since I’ve first played in 2018 and he’s my absolute best my friends will ask me to play Maul if we’re loosing and if you have a good maul he can turn the tide of the game

I use Darth Mauls force choke push mainly when i'm in a map like trippa hive and other maps that have a area where you force choke and push them off the edge of the map. Good video though helped me out

I find sabre heroes incredibly difficult in co-op, what're your thoughts, Sammy? It's because the bots miss almost none of their shots and they're never alone, which is obviously a huge advantage to them. Any tips? Or should I just avoid everyone but Kenobi?
U have to use a wide ability like palps shock or vaders choke then use another like saber throw or chain lighting to kill large groups of enemy in co op
when you're starting out its hard and depends on the map too, any map that allows tanks and stuff like that is automatically harder for saber heroes i just run as many one hit hards as I can for these mode, anakin probably being the best with heroic might
That is very great guide I was playing BF 2 back in 2020 but took a break and came back in 2022 and started to play as my old main which was Maul and I couldn't get it what I was doing wrong because I was dying super quickly and doin nothing good for the team and I was like "How the f**k I got this sucka to level 200 ?" This reminded me how 2 play lol
I have to say I like running no flow motion on Maul I only ever need two and they recharge faster without the card. A skilled Maul only really needs 2 spin attacks. I replace that card with thrown to slow. which is really nice in GA+Supremacy. Also I do accelerated throw instead of ranged throw cuz if you hit a heavy twice (once going to once coming back) it is a one shot.
For me, the only person you really need to watch out for a lot is Han, it may just be because I'm very experienced with dealing with them, but Luke and Leia don't usually give me much trouble other than Leia being a pest. But Han's detonate charge can ragdoll you and completely mess up your movement, giving Han long enough to get off a few of his deadly blaster shots, possibly finishing you off and at least getting you low on health, and if it's an extra ballsy Han or just a very good Han they may also use his shoulder charge to ragdoll you again and deal some more damage, and then finish you off the his deadly blaster. Han can of course be no problem depending on the player, but he's usually the most annoying, with Leia being the second most, as while she isn't super deadly to Maul in my experience, she is a very annoying nuisance
I think fool me once is a pretty good card, it nullifies the cooldown increase of flow-motion so you get a free 3rd spin and the other 2 abilities are also on shorter cooldowns
@@killerdebit5709 im pretty sure the cooldown is increased, upgrading the card reduces the amount of cooldown increase so the purple tier is 10% cooldown increase. If im wrong what would the upgrade benefits be then?

What I like to do with maul is I chuck my lightsaber at someone and then dodge towards them (I’m an aggressive darth maul btw) I hit them with my saber and if there is another hero behind that hero I will spin attack both of them and then the one that’s closer to me will be almost dead and then run away and my teammates finish them off
One super good card for Maul I like to run in trooper modes is the one that gives him extra damage on the Choke Hold if you get a minimum number of enemies (2 with purple card). Can turn it into a one hit kill

Agree with the large scale mode loadout In hero modes I’d rather use flow motion, fool me once and forceful thrust (when I want to yeet people off the map)/lightsaber defence (when I’m dealing with two or more blaster heroes/accelerated throw (not ranged throw since you can’t block when you don’t have your saber, Maul also lacks damage a bit so it is a nice way to improve on that aspect
Guys I've been craving for a SW game for a while now but I'm not into online multiplayer. Does this game have offline single player? If so, is it worth playing just the single player? And also how big is it currently as I plan on buying it digitally if it's worth it.
Just some tweaks on maul. Use lightsaber defense and blasters won't be as bad. N i gotta watch out for that boy Chewbacca he lethal in hvv. Luke i can fight pretty well and leia if she don't catch me off guard

Maul is all about hit and run attacks and using agility to confuse enemy aiming. He's great for disruption too with his choke toss

For the hvv when he throws his saber farther, you’d be up close normally so it’s really not needed

hey, a quick tip with the general of clankers. try spamming really low jump attacks. try it once.
That is very great guide I was playing BF 2 back in 2020 but took a break and came back in 2022 and started to play as my old main which was Maul and I couldn't get it what I was doing wrong because I was dying super quickly and doin nothing good for the team and I was like "How the f**k I got this sucka to level 200 ?"

I have to say I like running no flow motion on Maul I only ever need two and they recharge faster without the card. A skilled Maul only really needs 2 spin attacks. I replace that card with thrown to slow. which is really nice in GA+Supremacy. Also I do accelerated throw instead of ranged throw cuz if you hit a heavy twice (once going to once coming back) it is a one shot.
I find Leia and Han to be pretty easy for a good mail to deal with. My biggest issue is always Chewie and his tanky health pool.
Tankie heros are a pain for maul as I found out the hard way
If you play HvV on bespin use the increased power of the choke ability to throw people off the map

For me, the only person you really need to watch out for a lot is Han, it may just be because I'm very experienced with dealing with them, but Luke and Leia don't usually give me much trouble other than Leia being a pest. But Han's detonate charge can ragdoll you and completely mess up your movement, giving Han long enough to get off a few of his deadly blaster shots, possibly finishing you off and at least getting you low on health, and if it's an extra ballsy Han or just a very good Han they may also use his shoulder charge to ragdoll you again and deal some more damage, and then finish you off the his deadly blaster. Han can of course be no problem depending on the player, but he's usually the most annoying, with Leia being the second most, as while she isn't super deadly to Maul in my experience, she is a very annoying nuisance

Using Fool me once with flow motion means that there is no extra cool down
I think fool me once is a pretty good card, it nullifies the cooldown increase of flow-motion so you get a free 3rd spin and the other 2 abilities are also on shorter cooldowns
Flow motion actually doesn’t increase the cool down so it’s just a free extra spin attack basically. But yeah those two are great Maul cards
@@killerdebit5709 im pretty sure the cooldown is increased, upgrading the card reduces the amount of cooldown increase so the purple tier is 10% cooldown increase. If im wrong what would the upgrade benefits be then?

As a max maul I agree with almost all of this
I often use the other saber throw card for maul. It works out prertty good
What I like to do with maul is I chuck my lightsaber at someone and then dodge towards them (I’m an aggressive darth maul btw) I hit them with my saber and if there is another hero behind that hero I will spin attack both of them and then the one that’s closer to me will be almost dead and then run away and my teammates finish them off
One super good card for Maul I like to run in trooper modes is the one that gives him extra damage on the Choke Hold if you get a minimum number of enemies (2 with purple card). Can turn it into a one hit kill
It only gives 19 more damage to the choke though 🤷♂️

For co op u can use ranged throw furious throw and thrown to slow and it’s god tier for co op

In hero modes I’d rather use flow motion, fool me once and forceful thrust (when I want to yeet people off the map)/lightsaber defence (when I’m dealing with two or more blaster heroes/accelerated throw (not ranged throw since you can’t block when you don’t have your saber, Maul also lacks damage a bit so it is a nice way to improve on that aspect
Maul gets punished hard for mistakes
Feel free to correct me but isn’t there a bonus damage card if it choice two or more because cause I think I got that on do recommend

Same abilities as him except instead of more range for lightsaber throw, I use more range for choke hold. Gets more enemies

Don’t for get deadly slashes on Grievous. It makes it a one hit but it’s not really that great (feels great tho)
I wouldn't say his block is weak considering he can block way more blasters than Dooku
Personally i quite like Sith Fury as if you play him right with it it can almost double your DPS.

Just some tweaks on maul. Use lightsaber defense and blasters won't be as bad. N i gotta watch out for that boy Chewbacca he lethal in hvv. Luke i can fight pretty well and leia if she don't catch me off guard
