Good review i bought one from lidl last year but i have never used it i bought a thicknesser planer from screwfix but after taking back three due to faults i now have to use my lidl planer so this was rather useful.Good to see your well hope your family are well also, keep safe and im looking forward to future content from you.
Thank you so much for your comment. I have a refurbished thicknesser coming next week which is one that has been sent back to Screwfix 😕 Just hoping that when it was refurbished that they actually sorted the reason for it being returned and not just give it a clean. You and your family stay safe, take care David
Hi David. I think for £24.99 is great for what it does. You can always use it to rough wood down to save time and finish off with a hand plane if that's what you prefer. Good review nice and clear, straight out of the box. Tony
Nice overview David 😁. I have a Bosch corded planer that I've had for millions of years and it's still going strong. And I waited for ages and finally got a workzone cordless one from Aldi which is also great. I just hope the Parkside one serves you well 😁. Thanks for the video, stay safe David 😁👍.
Dont have a lot of cash .need yo tidy up load of pallet wood for cladding in my shed. Seen one of these on fb market place £20 brand new! So maybe worth a shot. Great review thank you.
Thank you very much for the review. Re chips flying everywhere - it's supposed to be taken away with vacuum cleaner. That little complicated red chute is definitely not going to do the job just by itself. And I didn't see any tool, even expensive ones, who would neatly handle chips without vacuum cleaner. Have a good day!
Thanks for watching, I had a Bosch planer that had a chip bag and if you took the bag off all the chips would be thrown out of the chute so that is what I was comparing it to. I agree with you that ideally it should be connected to some kind of extraction. Take care David 👍
@@InTheWorkshop I have an older Bosch which is the 900Watt version and it does a good job of throwing the chips out, as long as the blades are sharp, they will be ejected very quickly.
I would of thought the manufacturer of the plane will have part numbers for all spares but you would have to do some measurements and searches to try to find others that fit. Good luck 👍
Thank you, solid review with handy explaination, cheers
Great review , i have quite a collection of "Parkside" tools and i really cannot fault them , great tools at a budget price.
Watched all plainer videos and none of them explained the small depth stop tool. You did, so great review, many thanks!
Thanks for watching, take care 👍

Nice vid David

Quality review David. For the money you cant go wrong. Especially with a 3 year warranty absolute bargain.
Cheers Dan, yeah I grabbed it because it was so cheap and the Bosch one I had died. Take care David 👍
Hi, can we find new blades in the market that fit?

If you check the manual, they should have all parts names and numbers. You can call lidl customer service. They'll send you a link of suppliers.
