    You can walk it to Eagle Beach in 15 minutes. Just turn left at the main road. Great for some exercise and no waiting around for a Bus.

    Hi, and thank you so much for doing this "real time" video on the bus ride from the Bus Terminal by the Cruise Port in Aruba to the RIU Aruba Hotel and Aruba Hilton. I've heard that taking a taxi in Aruba is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE! QUESTION¹: How much time did it take to get from the Bus Terminal to the Aruba Hilton? QUESTION²: How much time did you have to enjoy yourselves at the Hilton Resort before heading back to jump on the bus and get back on the Cruise ship? QUESTION³: Where did you learn about the price of $130.00 for a "Day Pass" at the Aruba RIU Hotel? Thanks in advance .... keep up the great work? 👍😎

      It is about a ten minute ride
      Cab is about $ 5 per person + Tip
      We had 14 hours in Aruba
      An employee at the Hilton told me the price at the RIU

    I just come across your video , we are going to Aruba on the vista in April, did you have purchase a day pass through the Hilton to go to eagle beach, if so can you do that day?.

    • @cruisingwithcrystal
      @cruisingwithcrystal  7 месяцев назад

      The beaches are public. The Hilton does not have day passes, but the RIU does. I would book in advance.
      We used Hilton Honors Points and booked a room.

    Stupid question but how do you call a taxi? I'm sure there are plenty of them by the port, but we want to go to Arikok National Park, and we aren't sure if there will be taxis driving us from the park back to the port.

      Just stand at the street and one will come. Expect to pay $5 per person back to the port from Palm or Eagle Beach

    I appreciate this video so much! Question…how do you know which resorts offer day passes? I think this is what we would like to do with our day in Aruba.
    Oh! How do you go about booking a resort pass in La Romana as well?
    We are on the same itinerary as you guys, departing Miami Aril 16th! The countdown is on!
    Great videos ❤️

      The RIU does.
      I think it is $120 per person.
      I do alot of research on cruise ports of call.
      Did you watch our videos on the Hilton right next to the RIU?

      The Hilton La Romana day passes are booked through the concierge.

      We book rooms and use it like a day pass. Check the box that says" Use Points" while booking the room on the Hilton Honors website. Make sure you get the Hilton Honors American Express Card to be upgraded to Gold Status.
      Right now if you get the card and spend $2000 in six months you get 100,000 points

    Thanks for video. I have question: If I travel in one direction (for instance from Airport to Palm beach) I need to take two buses with a change stop at Oranjestadt bus station. Do I pay the second fare of 2.60$ on the second bus or just continue my trip without second payment ?

    • @cruisingwithcrystal
      @cruisingwithcrystal  Год назад

      Sorry, I'm not sure.

    • @Busybeeee
      @Busybeeee 8 месяцев назад

      I can answer this question. Unfortunately, there are no transfers in Aruba so every time you set foot in a bus you must pay $2. 60 again. This is why this island is considered very expensive. For example, if you want to go from the hotel zone to San Nicolas, you must transfer at the main station in Oranjestad then take another bus and pay again to get to San Nicolas. Same thing on your way back. There is an option of getting a smart card if you plan on travelling a lot by bus. it is about US$10 for the card itself. Then each trip is $1.70. You could buy the card and load it at the main bus station in Oranjestad, as shown in the beginning of the video. There is not much information about routes and schedules online. This is purposely done in a clever way to promote tourists from using the most expensive way, taxi.

    • @cruisingwithcrystal
      @cruisingwithcrystal  2 года назад +1

      It was $2 in the past but they raised it.
      We did not snorkel. I think the reefs are out far and you need to take a boat.

    • @Busybeeee
      @Busybeeee 8 месяцев назад

      They do give you change, but unfortunately it is in Aruban florins. I want to try to mix currencies, and the bus driver got very mad at me. You can also buy a day pass or a return card at the main bus station in Oranjestad and several other little locations.
