Sounds like a plan 👍 I would like to open my own gallery and invite friends to exhibit their paintings. After all, if you think about it - Van Gogh, too, was once a beginner in painting!
You caught me :) the fact is that I am now preparing a training course with all sorts of rules, but the most important rule is that the rules can be broken, just not all at once :)
Hi Alex Thank you for this beautiful sharing! Enjoyed watching your detailed video with all colours name and brushes you used! Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦 your technique is very nice 👍 keep sharing
I was worried that the painting tutorial was clear for everyone. Some paints are named differently in different countries. Greetings from Canada have been received :) P.S. What do you think, is the moment at the beginning with drawing trees with red paint clear for a beginner? Greetings from Spain)
@@Alex_Teal Hi Alex, although I'm 2 weeks late to this comment, I'd love to jump into the conversation! I'd say a few seconds in whoever is following this tutorial would realize they have to paint the trees in red! Just discovered your channel and I really enjoy it so far! Will definitely be a new viewer! I am from Canada as well! :)
@@iz7030 Welcome anytime! As for painting trees in red, this is a good preparation for starting to paint objects in contrejour. I would like to show this technique somehow, but I need to think about how to make it simple and easy for #PaintingForBeginners. Go ahead #Canada! I live much further south, but I always have a tuque 😂❄☃❄
Hi Alex, thanks for sharing this beautiful tutorial! I love the colors and the van Gogh style. For me painting is really art therapy and some kind of meditation, although I'm not jet really happy with the results... 🙂 I like colorful pictures, for example the horses (not only the blue ones) in landscapes or other animals of Franz Marc. Maybe you can do something like that? I'm looking forward for more pictures from you! Many greetings!
Hi Cornelia. Thanks for your comment, it gives me confidence! The thing is, I had some doubts about what exactly people want to find when they look for art therapy. I'm glad you liked the video. I am familiar with the art of Franz Marc and I have an even better idea, in the style of the most famous Ukrainian artist (I'll keep it a secret for now, so it's interesting, haha, sorry). Now I have already filmed 4 other videos and there is a lot of editing time ahead, but I will definitely make a video with horses.
Thanks for the question! I should probably make a video about it in my new #PaintingForBeginners. To put strokes, you need to follow the shape of the object. For example, the area where #VanGogh lived is a little undulating, and there is a certain "fluidity" in his #OilPainting, so the direction of the strokes resembles a wave. Where the hill rises, we put the strokes upwards, where the hill descends, the strokes go down. If the hill ends, the strokes narrow and "flow" into the next object. On tree branches, the process of applying strokes resembles braiding (these trees really are, I am currently in a similar area). Color is easy - there is a color wheel (you can google it) which I plan to show in future videos. In short, light yellow goes with purple, and yellow-orange goes with blue and blue. Red is contrasted with green. As for color, I would suggest choosing the colors you like after studying the entire palette of colors that a novice artist has using this method: ruclips.net/video/qbfO-3rz_l4/видео.html Sorry if I didn't explain well, English is not my native language, I continue to learn it. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them
This is so beautiful!! I wanna be able to paint and to paint like this,,,hopefully I can have time to soon! And if it's alright to ask, is there a reason you painted orange before getting to the actual painting?
If you're ever in Barcelona, let me know - I have a studio where I run offline classes. Of course, I cover the canvas with tone for two purposes: 1. To avoid white micro-dots, which are sometimes due to the fact that the paint does not completely cover the canvas. This is a sign of amateur painting. 2. Transparent layers of paint, when applied, create a more harmonious and complex color. Hope it helps you ✊🎨😊
This is a very good question, thank you. This is a must-have professional way to hold a brush. You can hold a brush just like a pen in a number of cases, for example, we are drawing eyelashes or some other small detail. It will feel awkward at first, but it's like driving a car at the first day. I'm currently creating several large tutorials that will cover all the topics - how to choose paints, how to stand at an easel, how to pick up a brush, how to work with a composition and generally EVERYTHING. I'll explain why this is so. I'll start publishing videos again soon, don't miss it.
@Alex_Teal thank you. They'll be really helpful I'll definitely watch them! Haven't painted anything in 15 plus years and your videos have really inspired me to start
@@themeltdownz8901 Welcome back! Be sure to make the bottom layer (imprimatura) and let it dry well, this helps both in the composition and in the correct selection of colors. White canvas is very treacherous.
Thanks for your comment. I am glad that we have the opportunity to exchange opinions on such a modern platform as RUclips, which provides both the author and the viewer with many opportunities. Let's take the pause button for example. Something tells me that when you press this button, there will be enough time to even make tea and calmly read the text on the screen. Not to mention the ability to slow down the video speed. Perhaps this could help. Hope you have a great day. Sincerely, Alex.

The shots of the paint colours and brushes need to be a fraction longer so the viewer can take in the information.
