Are the players should know the number of Threat points ?

The players are allowed to know how much threat the GM has, yes.
Although, if you want to add an extra bit of mystery to keep the players nervous, you could keep them hidden instead!
Whatever works best for your game!

First off, the game looks great! However, I must question this Gamemaster being tied to a "Threat" economy thing, it just sounds like pointless extra work. Call me old fashioned, but when I am the Gamemaster, I just say stuff happens and IT DOES!

It's a way of showing rising stakes and building tension with your RPG group. Yes, as the GM you can just do stuff whenever, but sometimes it can feel contrived and out of left field. Whereas if there's a growing pool of threat visible, it makes the players more cautious and tense over what might happen. Consider a jenga tower. Yes, you could just walk up and knock it down at any moment, but isn't it more exciting and tense when you remove blocks one at a time until eventually it collapses?

@@DannyEastes Thank you for your very thoughtful reply- Since I made that post 4 years ago I have played a lot of STA- I love the game and I now get how Threat works- your description of it is spot on, and should be on the box! PS I rule at Jenga LOL

That's what I get for not checking the date something is posted lol! Hopefully future people will benefit from the exchange at least!
