I think I figured it out.. Jesus didn't suffer to save our temporary flesh from the battles and scars of this temporary world. I have struggled so much that it feels like I am drowning at times. I am thankful for the Anchor I discovered when I was 28... I was so lost bc my mom kept abused foster babies. YES. I said... abused babies. It robbed me of my childlike faith. The lights went out in my world.
Thankful for Audrey Assad Radio --which I ask Pandora to play for me every day of my life. All I concern myself with is that God consoles me through her words. I am not concerned that her heart hurts like mine has for so long. Something would be terribly wrong if she didn't hurt over Syria, and this broken world... I just cover her with loving thoughts and prayers... and sooo much gratitude. One night while I was crying out to God, he started playing one of her songs in my ear: "Immanuel's Land"
The lyrics (which I didn't know then) tied in with an exact dream He gave my sister and brother-in-law for me (they had the exact same dream on the same night!!), so I knew it was from God. Yes. God speaks through Audrey's angelic voice. To me.
I'm so glad I now get it:
Jesus didn't die to save our temporary flesh from temporary pain... but our eternal soul for eternal peace and rest in Him.
And there, in Heaven, He holds the little ones and all the broken ones very close...

Yes Sarah. Yes. Jesus said we will have trouble in this world (John 16:33) but He has overcome this world and we who believe in Him will one day celebrate the victory with Him in Paradise! I'm sorry your childhood faith was stolen from you because your mom was trying to help other children. The wickedness of this world wants to destroy children and their innocence...I am so glad you found your Anchor in Jesus! I pray that you continue to walk with Him, and I also pray that Audrey remembers who loves her more than anyone ever could. Her incredible talent is a gift to the world! Peace!

Came upon her song on You Tube ...."Good To Me" about a week ago. Then I read she had left her faith in Christ or only God knows if she ever truly knew Him. Don't know what is true but I pray for her. He has given her with such a beautiful voice to touch lives for Christ. Don't let Satan win Audrey in your life because this is exactly what he would want you to do. Jesus loves you so much. Let the message of your song "Good To Me" ring true to your ears. I just saw a video about her "deconstructing" and I'm so sad about it! I first heard about her when a friend of mine shared the song, "I Shall Not Want." I'm praying for her, too!!! Jesus warned us not to be deceived. I mentioned John 14:6 and 1 John 4:1 in my comments about her "deconstruction". I pray she will come to only want Jesus Christ as her Savior!!!
@@ritareilly5949There is nothing wrong with deconstructing. For some, they choose to leave what we might celebrate as God for many reasons. There is so much corruption and abuse that happens to people in the church, from leaders, from parishioners, from words to doctrine and all of the in between.
There are others that deconstruct from what they have originally learned from their denomination or version of the Christian religion because they have found it to be toxic, misogynistic, harmful, deceitful, racist, unwelcoming, and down right harmful.
For those of us that consider ourselves Christians, can we not believe that God is big enough to deal with this or to meet her in her doubt? Did Thomas not doubt until he touched Christ? With the way that "Christians" are perceived to treat others, which is never close to how Jesus would treat others, how we can we even believe that people would want to believe or worship God? We should pray for her. But we should also pray that the Spirit is used to change our hearts so that we listen to the cries of those that are leaving the church in droves. That we hear what they are saying and why they are saying it so that we can show compassion and mercy for them and those around us for God's glory, not ours.
Romans 8:35, 38-39: 35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Man's condition as a creature must never escape our awareness....God's mercy in and through Jesus is the ultimate testament to His love. Try to remember those things Audrey, not your trials or the trials of others. There was never a trial like Christ's, the Holy One of God, nothing compares to His life, work, death, sacrifice on behalf of undeserving sinful men and women.

I normally don’t comment or engage with comments on the internet, but I am appalled and ashamed at some of the “Christian” comments that Audrey is getting on her videos.
If you left the church or you were never a Christian before, do you really think shaming and condemning a person to hell is going to make someone want to become a Christian?
To address the shaming and/or condemning comments:
Audrey as a person is way more important than her career. Even if she did or did not “leave the faith…” doesn’t mean her career will fail, and why would you wish a failing career on someone?
Lots of Christian women wear plunging necklines… You can have Jesus as your Savior and show cleavage (even though she’s not even doing that in this video, in my opinion.)
A Christian can have a Buddha statue on their piano. Who knows? Maybe it’s a conversation starter for Buddhist friends or friends who love to travel and explore cultures.
Christians can wear a beanie and have colored hair…….. I don’t even know what else to say here lol. It seems pretty self explanatory…..
I am not going to respond to comments, because I don’t believe that ever accomplishes anything or changes anyone’s mind.
I wrote this comment for Audrey and any one else who may have left God. I do call myself a Christian, I do love God, and I try to live my life for Jesus.
But I do struggle with the Christian Church, because of Christians who say hurtful things and don’t apologize.
I honestly don’t think God would say any of those hurtful things to people. He still loves them, and He had made them. He is good and patient and so loving. He is holy, and that’s why Jesus had to die.
Anyway, this is longer than I meant to type. I just didn’t want Audrey to have a bunch of shaming comments from Christians and only a few loving or encouraging ones. She’s probably sick of it.
If anyone does have questions or wants a constructive conversation, feel free to message me.
I hope more people add encouraging comments and Audrey is able to take care of herself and keep making music if she wants to.

Audrey, I’d like to talk to you about why your faith has failed and why you have resorted to idols, as I see on your piano. Why the knit cap? Why the dyed hair? It’s like the loss of your faith in God has split your personality seeking solutions you will never find. Your gift is your voice, but is it serving the Lord with idols and craziness? If you are in a drought it’s no excuse to turn away. The world cannot provide for the Christian, you must turn only to the Lord. Do not be like Lot, and remember Lot’s wife. Do not turn in to the world. Repent and revive. Fear not. The Lord tests and scourges that you can bring forth more fruit. If you’ve been pruned, stand up in the test, do not fall away.
Many chosen go through this...BUT THEY DO NOT LEAVE GODS SIDE, it could very well possibly be the purification process. , the sufferring soul, a glimpse of what Christ goes through. Also The Blessed Mother. Prayer for peace, unbelievers, souls in purgatory...Russia...BUT God will not give any of us anything we can not handle.
