What made this even more of a violation is that the only reason he struggled with the ops at first is cuz he was constantly worrying about Anne. We see at the end that how easily he can kill v rexes with no distractions
3:30 A theory that I heard being thrown around a lot is that the V-rexes saw Ann as an infant Kong. For those of you who don't know, the Kong vs V-rex thing is a generational feud. They aren't just fighting for shits and giggles, it's for resources, territory, dominance, food, and everything. So with the difference between the birth rate of the Kongs and the V-rexes, mirking a single baby Kong is worth the same as getting 10+ baby Vasties. Probably a bit more at this point, since King Kong was pretty much the last of his species left.
That means they weren't going after Ann for a light snack. The first V-rex yumming up the entire Notosuchian shows that he definitely had his stomach full. They were going after Ann to make sure no future Kong could grow up and endanger their future bretheren, even if it meant all 3 of them dying. The math checks out in their heads, and if King Kong didn't have frame perfect reaction the entire battle and let Ann suffer even a single hit, they were leaving with the rival Kong population in shambles.
The v rexes are near extinct too, apparently there was a thing like these three are a massively inbred family, there’s two males and one female, one of the male is the youngest of the family, so they only managed to get 1 of their clutch to this stage and they all get killed

Some people theorize that the V-rexes thought Ann was an infant Kong. And with the differences in their breeding rates, killing a single infant Kong is worth like 10+ V-rexes. So even if they lost 1-3 but took her down in the process (which would take only a single hit for them), it's 100% justified in their minds.
