I mean Po is basically the perfect counter (Po’s belly blocks Tai’s attacks and due to Po’s recoil Tai ends up getting his strength knocked back at him) and he just fought Shifu AND got knocked down the stairs (With Po SITTING on him and crushing him the entire way). Tai also has only fought martial artists smaller than him so Tai wasn’t prepared. (The rhino guards don’t count)
Plus not only is Tai arrogant and ignoring him in favor of the scroll, Po is a MASSIVE Kung Fu fan and likely has read all about him, Tai has JUST met him.
Po virtually had EVERY possible advantage during his fight. Tai didn’t stand a chance.
I never realized Po for real slapped the shit out of Tai until you pointed it out in slow motion 🤣🤣🤣

Tai Lung had that Dawg in him, but Po was built different. All the moves he used to beat Tai Lung stupid were things he was seen doing throughout the movie. The fireworks, the noodles, the dumpling training, the tree smacks, all to end up learning a move he only seen once. Po was HIM.
Those things didn’t beat Tai Lung. At all. Tai king legit won but Po was just fat

Po wasn’t winning that entire fight, that’s why Tai Ling was able to get the dragon scroll from Po. The fact that he got the dragon scroll tells you that Po did not win that fight because of his skills. Because if he was winning, Tai Lung would have never gotten the scroll in the first place.
And breaking him down? Tai Lung did that himself when he realized that the thing he was fighting for and spent his whole life training for was nothing. Po didn’t do that, that was Tai Ling not having any self worth other than being the dragon warrior.
Also, you never negated that Po won because he was fat. And he didn’t learn anything in the training dummy which tells me that you’re making things up

Not really. In terms of villain Shen is clearly the best, Tai lung barely appears in the story. When he does it's over. Just because he had a sad backstory doesn't mean he is the best villain

Tai lung we are told he terrorized the village when he was told he wasn't the dragon warrior but that's about it. Shen goes on to kill people (on screen btw) multiple times and is really to be shown a threat to China. Tai lung is not really potraid as THE villain. Shen yes. I do agree Tai lung is a better character. But he is not the better villain

Man, Shifu spent 99.9% of this film roasting Po and even beating the tar out of him so he would quit the Dragon Warrior training because he didn't think Ougway picked the right fighter.
It wasn't until he took Po on a training journey before his son arrived after his prison break did he eventually give Po a tiny bit of credit for his skills.
