Before I was optimistically nervous. Now, I'm actually excited. It looks great, and it cant be any worse than that horrifying movie. I hope Zukos arc is down well, Iroh looks good and feels great already. Plus, Appa and Momo look awesome!
THERE IS NO MOVIE IN BA SING SE
@@rokerarts8737 yes: The Last Airbender (2010)
What movie…
Earth king has invited you to lake laogai
We need to see Appa's face! They can't turn him into a sleep paralysis demon again!!
@@CandleLight129😂😂
7:19 Azula looks kinda terrifying with the way she look around like that. The early signs of her breakdown are already evident.
I love it. The amber eyes color is more alluring in live action
The quality and visuals of this is stupendous. Netflix has been killing it with the animated live actions
With the live action version of One Piece such a success, I have high hopes for this
Don't. The creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender originally teamed up with Netflix to make this but quit in August 2020 after 2 years of development. Michael DiMartino, one of the 2 creators, said “things did not go as we had hoped,” that the decision to leave was necessary for his “creative integrity” and that whatever Netflix put on the screen, “it will not be what Bryan and I had envisioned or intended to make."
Translation the OG creators walked because Netflix is not making the show they wanted to make, they're making their own show.
One Piece worked with fans because the creator only agreed if he had creative control because he didn't trust Netflix and had to force them to redo/reshoot many things he wasn't happy with. The Avatar creators had no such clause and quit because Netflix was fucking up their vision so much. Not trying to be super pessimistic, but when a creator quits and forsakes an adaption they were excited about to preserve their "creative integrity" there's not much faith to be had in a company that fucked up Death Note and Cowboy Bebop, and soon Yu Yu Hakusho based on the press released photo.
@@gonzo6489 lmao im not looking forward to any kind of entertainment these days other than The Witcher 4, however long that takes...
@@gonzo6489 i do want to put this, the creators were not the only writers of the show, as someone have pointed out (hello future me if i'm not mistaken)
it's a concern that og creators left, yes, but we'll see when it gets released
the reason one piece live action is good because the creator didn't leave he stick to it while atla is completely opposite
@@Thesmusidk man, when the creator left on purpose, its not a good sign. is there any detailed reason why they left? are their creativity ideas cost to much money? or they refuse to go woke?
The first season is gonna have 8 one-hour episodes, which is 20 minutes more than the first book of the animated series. They will not unnecessarily cut anything, only if it makes sense, and they will definitely expand on some aspects based on the comics and the books
This one teaser is better than the entire live action movie.. you should definitely roast it on the channel soon it will show you how good this netflix adaptation really is…
The overhead Appa shot... goosebumps all over. It looks so promising so I'm hype af.
What I’m interested in is Azulas part because her main story is in season 2 same with Ty Lee and Mai since they’ve been casted for season 1 but I’m thinking they’ll be in flashbacks to flesh them out for season 2 so we’re not just thrown into the ozai angels storyline
I don’t think she will be only in flashbacks, they kinda mention Azula will have more screentime from the very start
I think we'll have another storyline that doesn't include the Gaang.
@@kunsagita7556 I wouldn't be opposed to it, tbh Azula suddenly popping up later feels very "lets introduce a new villain!" while she could've easily been around earlier just the show being as it is didn't likely wanna complicate things at the beginning.
It's like One Piece and Garp, shifting the story to have him more early on and the grandpa reveal, or have Buggy around longer, isn't really gonna change it up a lot and even might have it make more sense, or atleast a believeable alternative.
I’m really excited. Avatar the last Airbender is one of my favorite shows. I literally smile and laugh from excitement watching this trailer 😂 men I hope Netflix don’t break our hearts
They included the Kyoshi Warriors and other elements from the series. I think they can do it without condensing much of anything. 8 one hour episodes is possible.
This is really exciting. They showed several key moments and favorite characters.
I cant believe i get Percy Jacksom and Avatar so close after another
The show has a lot of ties Tibetan culture, history and Tibetan Buddhism. Even the original creators has mentioned it. As Tibetan this anime will always place special place in my heart.
Ang- character is based on Dalai Lama
Momo-tibetan dumpling is called momo/also Grand ma is called momo in tibetan
Apa- means father in tibetan
Gyatso- is last name of Dalai Lama in tibetan Tenzin Gyatso
Many compare this story as fire being China and air being Tibet and ang (Dalai Lama being Tibetan in exile)
here's hoping they know how to pronounce the character names
no, China is really Ba sing se, Japan is the fire nation. Kitara and her tribe are the first nations americans.
@@ftu2021 you are funny 🤭
you need to rewatch the show. Ba sing se literally has the manchu-qing dynasty hairstyle. @@phuntsokphotography
THEY GOT THE THEME!!! PLZ DONT SCREW THIS ONE UP, NETFLIX
Still waiting for one reaction channel to get it right, so far I’ve watched 11 channels and they all got Omashu confused with Ba Sing Se 😭😂
Lol. Why can no-one recognize Omashu? Eath Kingdom is book 2. Every reaction I watch you're all like "Oh! Earth Kingdom!" 🤣
If each animated episode in Book 1 is like 20-25min and 20 episodes. Then LA 10 episodes that are 45m-1hr long could definitely hit all the narrative beats.
The big thing that has me worried about this is that the creative differences had the original creators leave unlike with Oda overseeing the One piece live action.
Aesthetically the trailer does look pretty good though.
wait they left?
True, but also keep in mind they're also the guys who brought us Korra which is extremely mixed in terms of how people feel about it. They aren't infallible
@@scrumbsciouscrispybuns5026 Yes. Mike and Bryan left the project in 2020 because of creative differences. Netflix wanted more control and change things, but we don't know to what degree. It made the creators leave though, so I'm still sceptical of the whole thing.
@@jubjub594Korra was fantastic
@@DanaBanana94I read the opposite. I read that they wanted to "fix" some things from the animation, take some things they didn't like and do it differently, while Netflix wanted to just copy the same story.
The beginning scene was day the destroyed the airbenders, i cant wait for that scene
oh that gave me goosebumps hope is high for this one
Looks beautiful but hopefully the acting and performance is Amazing
The teaser looks good. I watched a few episodes with my nieces back in my late 20s. Ended buying the animated show. One of the best cartoons I've seen.

Iroh

Excited for azula such a good villain.
Gonna be interesting how they tie her into the first season
@@kaibalfour2318 Yeah probably gonna have original scenes that are not in the show.
This trailer got me hype, I legit have goosebumps😁!!! they done a great job with momo he looked amazing, I’m curious to how princess Yue will look like in the northern water tribe
I'm excited. I loved seeing Suki.
A Ranma 1/2 would be crazy as a series
Can't see anyone diving into that minefield
@@Ghostdraconi I know. Just imagine pitching Haposai to a studio.
Fun to dream of though
There's a character like that in the The Boys spinoff show, Gen V, changing sex, and have physical relationship with the opposite gender and stuff...
The music got me in tears
I'll say im cautiously optimistic. The one piece adaptation earned them some points and i love the look of everything so far. So we'll see. It's definitely already an improvement over the movie we don't talk about
It looks amazing so far, hopefully they nails it.
I'd like to see Toph as a 2nd season teaser... Imagine the scene when she's fighting on the ring OMG can't wait!!
Oh man, I'd love to see y'alls reaction to the old live action 🤣 It's like being kicked in the nuggets for an hour and a half but once it's over, you can understand everyone else's anger haha
I hope they also consider doing a live action legend of korra down the line too
They definitely will, but we have a long way to go. One thing is sure, we have a ton of new avatar content for the next decade
I still have my scepticism but it looks good so far & I'm excited! 👍 I hope we will get a good live action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender this time. Pls Netflix. Thank You for the reaction! ❤
Well just like the live action One Piece it's not gonna be an exact adaptation there's probably gonna be some differences but I'm excited for this either way. Awesome reaction you two 🔥
I think the earth city that we saw, is not Ba sin Se, looks like Omashu (King Boomi reign)
OMG this video is how I found out the trailer dropped! Eeeek I’m nervous for this show yall after the shall not be named movie😂
After watching trailer: I’m actually kinda excited the casting and the budget looks pretty good thus far too!! Suki looked so good and the kyoshi warriors makeup n outfits were on point. Iroh and Zukos relationship was my favorite part of avatar for me too so that’s honestly what I’m looking forward to but most nervous for.
Ba Sing Se is season 2, that was Omashu
Omashu is so amazing!!! Far better than Ba Sing Se. Yeah, Ba Sing Se is vast and is the home of the Earth King... But those walls look more like a cage, especially the inner walls which perpetuate the division between the rich and the poor. You don't see that in Omashu, whose riches are almost evenly divided.
Hola chicos, esta nueva adaptación de Avatar el último maestro aire no se ve tan mal, esperemos que todo salga bien, saludos con mucho cariño desde PERÚ.✌😎
Iroh was the one I look up to til this day! Book 2 was my absolute favorite!
The first scene in the teaser is the sozen comet where aang dissapear and the war started. They gonna show the whole thing where the air temple got attacked etc😭😭
Damn it, that was good and now I can't help but be optimistic.
I love Sokka so I hope they done him well.
Yeah, for me my favorites were Iroh and Sokka. Zuko was insufferable for 90% of the show until Book 3.
@@khazms tbh zuko was always goated
@@TheLegendaryHungryWolfBy the last half of Book 2, sure.
This might just be the thing I've been waiting for to make me subscribe to Netflix.
I know that something good can come even from a bad movie. When I first watched the Percy Jackson movies, I really liked them, I thought they were well done, and I liked the idea of greek mythology in a modern setting. I thought it was very cool.
Then I realized it was based on a book series, and ofc, I decided to read them. Only then did I realize how shitty those movies were. But had it not been for those movies, I'd have never discovered the Percy Jackson series which is one of my all-times favorite series now.
Funny thing is, this new series is being made by fans who grew up with the original and some of the va's from the original series, so I have high hopes for it
Ese adelanto esta excelente 🔥🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍
SO FUCKN EXCITED!!!
The movie was so bad, we need this show to be really good!
I Luv ur reaction.
From Brazil here!
Have u guys ever been to McAllen Tx?
Not gonna lie, when that intro music hits and Appa appears, I tear up a little.
This february is going to be crazy.
This comes out ON MY FUCKIN BIRTHDAY
So excited !!! Everything looks so good. Also, that earth kingdom city was omashu. Not ba sing se lol everyone is calling it ba sing se.
It's not just you, Iroh and Zuko were both the best written characters of the original cast (with Toph trailing them closely)
And this trailer looks very intriguing. Some corny looking stuff, but as you said, after One Piece, all the hopes are up there !
The earth kingdom city of Bumi in s1 is Omashu.
Another live action anime adaptation that's coming soon is Yuyu Hakusho, one of the greatest anime of all times, the first massive success of Togashi, the author of Hunter X Hunter. And if the poster looked bad, the trailer looks surprisingly good !
Can we please have a night where you guys watch the Avatar movie?
Like omashu LOOKS AWESOMEE
all i know is is that its gonna be better than the movie so a win is a win
Based the episode count and episode length the Live action first season is slightly longer than the first season of the animated series.
I think "The Last Airbender" movie is now equivalent to the Star Wars Holiday Special 🤣
6:42 That’s Omashu. We’ll meet Bumi!
I know it's not much but it really does looks better than live action movie. Pretty impressed
If they nail this, then I have confidence in the Duffer Bros. and their Death Note series which actually isn’t rumor that was confirmed by them when they announced their new production studio.
I just want someone to at me _(themitchzone)_ whenever these guys actually do watch that first live-action Flying Bison poop of a movie, because that'll be a reaction that I really wanna see! 😂💀
The only reason why I'm not getting my hopes up to much is the original creators droppednout from it cuz they didn't agree with Netflix vision of the show. One piece did so good cuz the creator was involved so creators not being involved is usually a bad thing but the trailer makes it look promising
The only reason I am very cautious about this upcoming show is the fact the creators of the product themselves left due to creative differences.
Naturally for most fans, yes. EVERYBODY loves (at least) Iroh from the beginning. Loving Zuko may have took some time for some fans.
Okay...this has more budget and better casting...now for the acting....am hype for this
You guys should react to the trailer that came out 2 weeks ago
Sorry for the unrelated comment 🙏🙏
Any chance we get reactions for Loki season 2? It's finished as of today
This look 🔥
Do give that movie more views. Let's just wait for this new version
everyone thinking omashu is basingse hurts me
The creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender originally teamed up with Netflix to make this but quit in August 2020 after 2 years of development. One Piece worked with fans because the creator only agreed if he had creative control because he didn't trust Netflix and had to force them to redo/reshoot many things he wasn't happy with. The Avatar creators had no such clause and quit because Netflix was fucking up their vision so much.
The only dialogue in this is being voiceover also gives me reason to worry. The characters and their interactions are why this show has lasted and is so beloved, and all we got were action scenes. Its possible the creators walked because Netflix wanted to make an action show and strip out all the philosophy and spiritual elements, which are fundamental to this story and its characters. And yes it looks amazing but The Last Jedi looks amazing and its a total shit film.
If the storytelling and writing are as good as the visuals, I will be a very happy wrong person eating my words lol. There's some hope, but I've been burnt before.
It's just a kids show
I mean Steven King hated the shinning
1. You stupid and gullible 2. the real reason the writers left is because they were getting their own studio 3. nt all animations writers and directors do well in live actio look at death note that was shit 4. the writers wrote a couple episodes before they left 5. avatar studios gave netflix permission to use canon material or sum check avatar news for more 6. you stupid
Just wait and see.
Yeah, this adaptation doesn't even have to be mindblowing, but if it's half as good as the original animated series, then I'll be so happy! This trailer was great and that main theme music playing was literally a cheat code to making me cry instantly XD. The only thing that is making me keep my expectations in check is that Mike and Bryan left this project in 2020 due to creative differences. Also very curious to see how they make Aang's air scooter look in live action, but that shouldn't be too much of a big deal since the bending so far looks pretty solid
have you guys ever posted the part 2 of castlevania nocturne watch-along? 😭
they will show the attack against the air nomads 😮
"i might bring it to the channel at some point" ... remember the last episode of the last episode of The Last Of Us tv show? when Joel tells Marleen "bring me to her. You bring me to her right now!" well, this is with the same tone... You bring that show to the RUclips channel. You bring it RIGHT NOW!
8:43 Yes, it will cover the entire first season!
I just hope this one's good enough so that we get a legend of korra version.
The tone of the Last Airbender is alot easier to translate into live action as compared to One Piece. Personally this live adaptation wasn't required, the anime in itslef is a masterpiece. But I guess this is require for those not into animation.
I think this was required, actually. Because bending will look 100x cooler in live action, specially air, since it's supposed to be invisible and there's no way to translate that into animation.
The age of live action anime is COMING ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
I highly recommend you guys watching Rurouni Kenshin for another great anime to live action adaptation!
I think that was omashu where king bumi is.
If this doesn't have the "My cabbages!" Guy I don't want it XD
Great news actually. The Cabbage Man will be in this and he’ll be played by the same actor who voiced him in the original series! LETS GO!!
I genuinely wasn’t sure how I felt about it (mostly because of how badly the last live action attempt went) until the intro music kicked in and now I’m at least cautiously optimistic.
I would love to see you guys react to the train wreck that is the movie. That would be a fun video.
I quite literally don't care about the original creators leaving this show. The director and cast are huge fans of the show and they will do just fine I think! I'm excited 😆
yes and the original creators made korra...
Exactly my thoughts. I love what the og creators gave us in the original avatar, but Korra was such a mixed bag that I don’t implicitly trust them anymore. Not to mention the way the creators seemed to mock shippers they didn’t agree with towards the end of avatar book 3…. I think this could be handled just as well or better by passionate and skilled fans of the material.
I can't wait to see Bumi at Onimusha
I think studios finally realized live action adaptations don't have to be all grey and sad AND we don't want "a new twist in the story". We just want the same story, maybe with some additional things and details, but that's it. AND MAKE IT COLORFUL!
never watched avatar, but I watched 900 episodes of one piece. I will watch the live action of Avatar when it comes out
I think there has a been a literal shift in way things are being made now it really does seem like they are trying to make shows that are jsut good and stick to the source material and not try and jsut tick a box on a list
We need more Antony alone reaction!
do a legend of korra reaction!
actually, i thought there was already a "death note" live action on netflix. but the reviews are bad. if netflix learned their lesson from f-ing with the story of cowboy bebop and that they should remain faithful to the source material, then you get shows like one piece and (hopefully) avatar.
Ha! Take that Shyamalan!
After One Piece, I admit I'm optimistic but one thing the were kind of skipping on, was the Devil Fruit powers. In the anime, there's more focus on them during fights. I understand and accept that, for One Piece. What I'm afraid of is that happening in the show too. There was a LOT of element bending in the animation so I hope they can do it justice in the live-action but mostly, Appa and Momo... They were so, so important. Especially Appa, and he was shown a LOT. I just hope they don't skip on Appa scenes becauae he was detrimental to the story
I've been burned before so i am going to hold my breath on this one.
If nothing else, it looks true to form. which is def a step in the right direction, as opposed to something....
I think the earth kingdom part was Omashu not Ba Sing Se
m night movie as a drinking game. watch it and everytime it makes you feel physical pain take a shot. see how far you can get before being hospitalized for alcohol poisoning
Thats omashu
remember ,no war in ba sing se
The key is simple - Keep to the source material. For most shows or source materials, the stories/ concepts are timeless. No need to update it except to pander to certain points of view. If you want your kind of show , go ahead and create a new one ‐ do not mess with original material.
