Hundreds hours spent by analyzing game progress finally pays back to BARCAST. Althou Ubivator show some stunning attack moves and exceptional micro, veteran level of BARcast won by macro. Awesome match !
Ubivator Was doing Great but Near the End Lost because Barcast used the Slow and Steady Expansion in Resources what works the best when the Enemy does not Push with all Force for the WIN.
In TA, one of the classic compositions I like doing, is the Fido (x10) + Maverick (x2) combo. So I was curious about Welders being paired with Hounds here. Although the former would have to step in front. While Gunslingers would advance more along.
25:52 sec : when all of the frontline of barcastTV gets EMP, all of the unit are now dead, i feel like Ubuvator could've just pressed for victory. Slow push with hounds + Welder have 5 or 6 rez bot to reclaim in cas it doesn't go according to plan.
It is an impressive skill to have the killer instinct in RTS and in this gale even more, since a failed attack often leads to the opponents reclaiming a massive amount of metal. On the other hand snowballing can go out of control when you win a fast, push and resurect the dead unit from opponent near the battlefield.
I'm no expert but on the topic of keeping the commander in the base vs using it to expand, out, it seems like using it in the base in a 1v1 is more useful on smaller maps and using it to expand is better for larger maps. Building units asap is always great, but you need to be able to use those units to cripple the expansion of your opponent or they'll just out eco you fairly quickly. Large maps offer more benefits to expanding quickly and at the same time make it harder to stop your opponent from doing so with unit spam.
you gotta remember that the com is a powerhouse in early game, and using it to push locations is very strong. So on smaller maps i do see players more often expanding with com. However the meta does seem to be changing more towards stay in base
really great game. don't see a lot of high level 1v1 armada so this was a real treat

23:40 "Look at that damage there" Well, it was self-sabotage damage.
