      I want locs so bad but I don’t wanna commit. My hair mattes up at the base of my neck because I struggle to brush it because of mental health. SO I bought synthetic double ended dreads to try it out for a month or so and I hope it goes well.

    Thank you so much for this video! I have gotten my bottom row of my hair locked up about a month ago, and the rest of my hair is non-locked. I'm planning on washing my locks soon. Thank you for the instructions on how to seperate the hair while washing and also saying to focus on the scalp.

    This is very similar to how I wash mine. I have 11 dreadlocks ❤
    I wash my loose hair and dreadlocks together with Tea Tree Tingle... Just like you only focusing on my scalp. I rinse... Then I separate and add conditioner only to the ends of my loose hair ❤

    • @Rooskitooski
      @Rooskitooski  3 года назад +1

      I really want to find a shampoo that I can use for both my loose hair and dreadlocks but I like my locks being kind of dry and tight and my loose hair being really soft and conditioned so I just keep them separated. Hopefully someday I’ll find a shampoo that keeps my hair soft but not too soft that it’s starts to undread! Haha I’ll have to look into Tea Tree Tingle! Thanks so much for your continued support 🥰

    Thanks so much for the video! I'm thinking of getting partial dreadlocks but I wanna do some research before I propose the idea to my parents! Also, when swimming in a lake do you find that a lot of debris builds up in them? Cause during the summer my friend and I go cliff jumping and such :D

    • @Rooskitooski
      @Rooskitooski  3 года назад +1

      My guess would be no, as long as you rinse them after swimming just to be sure! They’re pretty tightly knotted so it would be hard for anything to work its way too far inside, so a nice rinse would help get anything off. Thank you so much for watching! Lots and lots of research is great! 🥰

    I have partial locks around 10 months now. I began brushing them out because they were so itchy i wasn't taking care of them. I had about 50 It was so painful that i stopped at 30 so I'm rocking that now. This encourages me to wash my hair more cause it's so dry but i think cause I'm using the dread shampoo on my loose pieces. I only wash it once a month maybe twice. But i don't mind when conditioner gets on my dreads and loosens them up i hate that freshly tightened feeling. I prefer looser dreads that i can brush out if they get too knotty, i still like to see my natural curl pattern thru the dreads so i occasionally brush them so they don't become super dreads. Thanks for the video I'll look into those products.

    • @Rooskitooski
      @Rooskitooski  2 года назад +1

      Yes, I notice my scalp starts to get itchy when it’s been a week or so since washing! It used to get itchy a lot sooner but eventually your skin adapts to not being washed with so much shampoo after a while. Be careful with conditioner though because it could cause them to mold on the inside 💕 best of luck! And thanks so much for watching!

    Hi I'm looking into getting some dreads. Probbaly just start with a couple or 3, how easy it is to brush your non-dreaded hair with dreads being in the way? I find it really hard to brush my hair after a shower anyways so worried about how itll work with a few dreadlocks xx

    • @Rooskitooski
      @Rooskitooski  2 года назад +1

      Hi! If your locked hair is, let’s say, at the base of your head vs randomly placed throughout your loose hair then it’s pretty easy to brush your loose hair! I just pull it to one side and be careful not to get my locks by accident :)

  • @Jaimiedamon
    @Jaimiedamon 3 года назад

    The brushed out dread end will smoothen over time trust me ur hair type seems just like mine. I recently brushed out the bottoms of mine and they looked like that for a couple months. I put conditioner on the ends while in the shower and let the conditioner sit on the ends for a minute or so then rinse. 😊

    • @Rooskitooski
      @Rooskitooski  3 года назад +1

      It’s probably been about a year now, I don’t think it’s smoothing out! 😂 I have others that smoothed out pretty quickly but I think this one has a lot of dead and damaged hair that is beyond repair 😞 oh well! Thanks so much for watching! 🥰

    • @Rooskitooski
      @Rooskitooski  2 года назад

      Yes they can (and should) get wet sometimes! And drying time depends on your hair type, how thick they are, where you live, etc. Mine completely air dry after at least half a day.

    How long did you wait until your first wash when you had beginner locks? Also, how long did you wait before using the Dolly locks conditioning oil?

    • @Rooskitooski
      @Rooskitooski  3 года назад +1

      I think I washed after about a week or so...usually washing and not conditioning will help them lock up quicker! I didn’t use the oil until they were a few months old I think, but it shouldn’t make them come undone so I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
