- Hey everyone!
This is my first video I've ever made, so please be kind! Today I'm just talking about my 7 dreadlocks, how I made them, their age, and how I care for them.
I hope you guys enjoy! Let me know if you would like to see anymore videos about my hair or life or whatevaahhh!

Sorry for the lack of eye contact! This was my first time ever filming myself so I am still learning (obviously) haha but I'm getting better and less nervous!
Reanna Miller you got this ♡♡ it gets easier over time
you did great thanks lovely x
Your dreadlocks look great. Don't worry about what your family says about them. Do you!
Simone Wharton Awh thank you! Your comment came at a perfect time, someone commented on another video saying they didn't look good so thank you for being so kind ❤
You're welcome. I love the way you can rock your dreadlocks and straight hair at the same time. Thanks for the informational videos on partial dreadlock :)
I love how your love for your dreads while still loving your natural hair is how I feel about wanting to do some.
you're so pretty!!!
Melissa Pressler awh thanks so much! I was wearing a lot of makeup 😂😂
Im happy to see people with alf a head of dreads! I have very similar via twist and rip and i used a safety crochet hook too to tie in loose ends... i have 2 rows and 9 dreads.. theyre about a month old and i wash my hair once a week, have done for a long time before this I love wearing my hair up with my dreads down, i love my baby dreads haha
Haha sweet! That's awesome!
You did amazing for a first video! Helped me finally decide that I want to do this too!
Awh thank you so much! I was so nervous! Lol
you did really good for this being your first video! 💖
Thank you! I was so nervous 😂
Omg! I love your hair and I have been wanting to get partial dreads for a long time. Thanks for the video!
I could tell you’re nervous but I think you’re so beautiful and I can’t wait to see your journey! Don’t pay attention to haters !!!
Thanks for posting! I'm not sure I'd look good with full dreadlocks, but my hair seems similar to yours, and thinking partial would be a good start.
My hair is pretty thin so I wouldn't end up having very many locks of I did my full head haha! Partial is always a good starting point to really get a feel for them!
I like your partial, it's like double the maintenance though lol. I have bangs left, I started out with the whole front side that way. Your hair is on point, good luck with it.
People of Dreadlock Oh it totally is!! One of the downsides to having the best of both worlds, you also have the worst! lol
just did mine 3 days ago! urs look great girl xo
Alex Spitler yay!! I hope you love them more and more each day! And thank you!
absolutely im sure i will :D think i just found u on ig :)
Awesome!! ❤
You're really Cute! :) thanks for the video. i didn't know that you can do twist and Rip on the by yourself.
Nice some nice grip
Good information in your video. Thank you. I have made 4 very thin dreads at the nape of my neck...but the thicker kind you've done are brilliant. Yes it's scary for me too to add more. how much hair did you use in your section to make the thicker locks? And how on earth did you section it so well?? keep dreading! Best wishes from the UK
Lisa Klozenberg sorry I totally missed this comment! I hope your journey is going well! Thanks so much for the support!
I really really really have been wanting to partial dread my hair for a long long time! My hair is very very fine and I was just nervous about them looking too thin or not full enough. I think my hair is the consistency of yours maybe a little thinner. Your video definitely helped me make my decision to start them. I would like to see what happened when you went to get a hair cut so I kinda know what to expect when the time comes for mine. How long did it take you to dread your 7?
Beautiful locks
I know this is an old video, but you can wash your entire head with partial dreads with regular shampoo. just make sure and squeeze dry the dreads really good with a towel after the shower and let them air dry. don't go to bed with them wet or they can grow mold. otherwise it's fine to be normal with your haircare routine
That’s a good way to get shampoo residue built up inside your locks after a while, so unless you’re using residue-free shampoo I don’t recommend doing this.
They look real nice with your natural hair! I started with just five. But then I loved them and made more and more! Just subbed ;) check out mine too if ya like!
Wandering Poppy awh thank you!! I'm still waiting to hear back from the woman I'd like to make some more for me, so we'll see if I get a couple more! They are kind of addicting, huh! And I'll definitely check yours out! Thanks so much for the sub! ❤
You look so pretty!
Thank you!
I love them
Thank you! They’re so much longer now!
Thank you😘💓💫
I'm thinking about doing some dreads, I know you have to be patient for the 1st yr or so
Laura Gonzales it took a looonng time for them to become less crazy, but I still liked them when they were all loopy.
@@Rooskitooski i want to get partial not sure how many etc
Laura Gonzales I started out with two layers on the very bottom, one had three at the base of my neck and one had four. I then added another layer of three a couple years later. It really depends on how thick your hair is! Mine is pretty thin. I’d say start with a layer or two and see how you like it! I did them myself but I recommend seeing a professional to help you get started :) and remember, don’t use any product or wax or anything!
keep making videos darling ♡♡
Cool
Do the dreads on the bottom thicken your hair? Considering dreads to increase my hair thicknesses
boomdiddyah yes! That's one of the reasons I got them! :)
Dreadlocks are wayy too hard to manage. Not to mention my hair was extremely nappy in the roots and I couldn't wash my hair
music is my life They are a little bit of work, but it makes up for itself for not having to do something daily with you hair (for a lot of people at least). Why couldn't you wash it??
Reanna Miller It made my roots extremely loose. Maybe I didn't form the dreads correctly but they just didn't look the way I wanted to and it looked extremely nappy unlike yours so I couldn't do a half updo without looking really trashy Lol. Now I currently just have one dread and I'm fine with that.
Ohh I see! Yeah there are a lot of different ways to do them, so maybe someday if you saw a professional or something then they would turn out more how you like! I just saw someone today for the first time and I don't know why I didn't see her sooner!
Reanna Miller i tried looking around but couldn't find anyone who can form dreads with my hair :/. I like that your dreads aren't too noticeable so you can hide it for work
It took me a while to find someone! She's over an hours drive away from me. But thank you! I like that too. I wouldn't want to have to brush them out anytime soon for my dream job haha.
Her dreads are not dreads her hair is just tangle..
Amanda Zavala that’s what most dreadlocks are; tangles :)
🫣😂 yikes
I am starting partial dreads and I have super super super thin straight hair as well
Awh yay have fun!
