Did these exact mods months ago and could not be happier! With the Mercedes Lovely stickers. Inspired a friend to do the same thing!
Those shifters are awesome. No more sour fingertips after hours of racing. Got them a month ago. At the end of all mods, you have a medium wheel.

Loved the style of video and also doing the same mods to my wheel, just waiting for the shifters and vinyl to arrive. You haven't filled me with confidence with the mechanics involved with the shifter mod 😅 but she'll be right I just won't be watching this vid for instructions.

i did this sorta thing to my G29, i spraypainted the logitech logo in the center white and it looked so cool. too bad the g29 broke just a few weeks ago. about time i upgrade since ive had that wheel for almost 3 years

I also got a lovely sticker for my mclaren wheel. Definitely makes it more unique. Glad to see those paddle shifter dont seem to need any permanent modification to the wheel. I believe you need to modify it for the SRM paddle shifters

@@OCRacing i went with just the forged carbon with the orange accents and has my last name on the lower portion of the wheel. Looks similar to the audi one they offer

Sooo I’m not sure how well this would work on the mclaren wheel but I’m gonna try it myself. I’ve seen Indycar drivers use grip tape for baseball bats and use that on the handles of their wheels. Think I’m gonna try it out myself. Santino Ferrucci recently used Lizard Skins tape (which I used to love on my bats) sooo I’m gonna give it a shot on the mclaren wheel handles!

I have the same wheel. Ended up putting together a wheel with the turn r305 and the fanatec endurance module. The Mclarwn wheel just feels cheap and hollow to me.

I have had to take mine apart because the shifter lever punched the magnet through the housing so it was as if I was holding the shit button down. It's easier than you think and you really see what you payed for, Needless to say, it's an over priced rim.
I haven’t used one for ages but long for the ergonomics.
