I feel like Thom is a little superfluous for this group. Jonny and the drummer are superb and interesting, whereas Yorke is not. His lyrics on other tracks with this group are very bland and uninspired to my mind. I hope he finds a good place and rocks like he has on a few Radiohead albums.
@@Westonm the genesis of these songs seems to be Jonny and the drummer, but Yorke is playing bass really well. I think some of the tracks are great but I don’t like all of them. It is like a jam and then improving certain elements, impossible to say. I love Yorke and his songwriting over the years but this project shouldn’t be wasted-Jonny and drummer-and I feel like Thom isn’t stepping up with anything amazing.
@@WillWright1 Yeah I see what you're saying. The Smile does seem a bit more jam-focused as opposed to the more meticulous songs of Radiohead. I just like the new sounds that they're going for here.
Of course Johnny is playing bass with a bow
why would he not be
sounds incredible
Was on the toilet on Instagram at 4AM pacific time and saw they went live, never clicked anything faster

Isn’t he the main songwriter in terms of the bases of these songs?
