    You could see in her eyes the joy of when he told he "these are so good" she truly is passionate about what she does and I hope she paves the way for disabled people to become business owners.

      I hope so. And I sure hope the Presidential administration listens to them when they say that they're more than capable of working the same jobs as other people.

      I love this story. This proves that we need to love people for who they are. I am from the UK. I have a Downs Syndrome true story on the Mumzee Warrior RUclips channel. The nurse tried to bully me into testing for Downs Syndrome. I said, "My body my choice!" The test could have harmed or killed my baby. I am glad I trusted my gut feeling.
      I would have loved my daughter anyway. No matter what. ♥️

    *Nor should it* stop her from fulfilling her dream. It doesn't seem right that the US govt. would deny teens and adults with *"disabilities"* the opportunities to work the same jobs as other people. I consider it damn unforgivable that that's the case. It's as if they think that we who have certain challenges are incapable of working, and need to be separated from the rest of society.

      I've never understood why things like this happen, that people with *"disabilities"* seem to get pushed aside, as if they're incapable of working the same jobs as so called *"able-bodied"* people. Naturally, there are some jobs some people *cannot* do, however much they want to do the work. I know some people who have CP (Cerebral Palsy), who cannot work at a factory on the assembly line, since it would involve standing and bending to reach at something. But most people with *"disabilities"* are for the most part able-bodied, and are able to do most things their co-workers are able to do. I've worked for Jersey Mike's Subs for 5 yrs., and I love it! :)

    • @theyankeegal13
      @theyankeegal13 3 года назад +1

      I do agree in that it depends on the nature of the job, the people you work with, the number of hours and how well you get along with other people. One of the things I'm fortunate with is I've had jobs where people I know were regulars, in fact one of the athletes I practice with I found out a year after I started working there that him and a few of my teammates were regular so I look forward to them coming in. I know it's wrong to have a customer we love more then others but to me any job where you can see people you knew before you worked at said establishment is a great job because seeing customers you know is just one way to increase morale

    I've said this quote before but I'm going to say it again: "the only person that can say if you can do something or not is you." I was told that 19 that if I went to college I would set myself up to fail. I am proud to say that I proved that person wrong.

    Who is funding the business? Selling 100/week is not a workable business model. Also watch how she takes out the hot tray from the oven and placing it on a naked surface in the kitchen as if it won’t discolor. This is just mean, using someone’s handicap to gain either financially or otherwise is just wrong. And we are all laughing deep down inside.

    Another thing I don't appreciate is how those of us with *"disabilities"* aren't allowed to make the same amount of money as *"able-bodied"* workers. While I appreciate Social Security and Disability (SSDI), I flat-out *refuse* to rely *completely* on Social Security or Disability. I prefer to use them as supplements to my working income, rather than as substitutes. If I get sick and have to take some time off, Disability can cover the cost, until I'm well enough to work again. I'd like to be allowed to save enough money to live on my own eventually.

    Collette would have had to abide by their rules if she worked for someone but turned the tables on them with her own baking and did herself and everyone else a big advantage. Lets hope her company doesn't get too big like so many others have and end up being sold to investors who robs it of its cash and then shuts it down. Being a small business has it's advantages.

    It’s always good to hire the disabled to work like me in the other hand with my autism I’m currently in college studying for Networking and plan to become a Network Administrator. Disabled people are people too because they are making a living because when companies decided to not hire a disabled person then that’s just ungrateful because that’s treating the disabled equally to other people. Because the Disabled should be treated the same way people are treated and their medical conditions are no laughing matter they are serious
