PJ This song is one of my top FIVE all time favorite Doo Wops. I knew Dave Antrell personally....what a loss, so much talent, like this record that HE did all the vocals on. This song represents THEE PERFECT example of classic Doo Wop. Thanks for posting this GEM. Dave was like no other, in a class all his own. His personal collection was very impressive. Bob V.
I played in a band with Dave Antrell in the '60's. I couldn't agree more with your comment. He was a brilliant musician, capable of singing and playing almost song after one or two hearings ! . Jimmy Haskell, the legendary arranger/composer, observed that Antrell was only the second musician Haskell had ever met with perfect absolute pitch. Yes, Dave's early passing was a huge loss....
Issued in 1985 this song is amazing for one big reason besides it being reminiscent of a great fifties ballad. Dave Antrell voiced every part of the song himself! Talk about a genius! Brookhaven John

I just heard this for the first time on Cool Bobby B’s Doo Wop Stop last night. I love it! I can’t believe that it was done in 1985 nor that Antrell’s is the only voice on it. I really appreciate the post, PJ. Keep up the good work!
This is making me daydream about boosting the hi's and the bass just a lil and pressing this on a shellac 78, sounds like it came from the 50's and I love that!
The rich harmonies in it remind me of the 1954-55 R&B group harmony sound of L.A. . These harmonies remind me of "Heavenly Angel" by The Squires on Pasadena's Vita Records (one of my all-time favourites.
This song is so very special to me. Dancing under the stars and falling in love with the song & the guy who was holding me. It doesn't get any better than this! ♥
That is a really adorable song! Some nice chord choices, a little off the beaten path, which makes it so interesting. It’s C# Am Dm G and then breaks the pattern for the chorus. Lovely! ❤️. Doo Wop Til You Drop!

Grew up NYC and been known to hold my own singing street corner acapella as a tenor. Now when singing along with this music to the car stereo sometimes I`ll double up with the 1st tenor then next time I`ll go base, then lead sometimes but this guy takes that to a whole new level. Very sweet stuff. Sad to know he passed. Thank you Dr. Dave , hope you can read this.
