Great idea and a great job making this modification - thank you for taking the time to this.
I have been wanting to cut mine down to a single for some time but have been looking for someone to do it and post it.
I also have a 2 bike add on - I am pretty sure it will work with the 1 bike cut down. I usually ride on my own and would love to cut mine down to 1 bike to get rid of the extra overhang etc. But my seven year old daughter now rides so we will be loading 3 bikes for our adventures very soon.
