Thanks! I’m a retired US Army infantry officer. I had a difficult time finding a MOD knife even on the internet but finally got one. I also got a desert and woodland DPM basha. Y’all have good kit.
I'm trying not to get one but £30 is a steal, if you're lengthening the lanyard maybe incorporate pace beads? I haven't put a divot in the seax yet but I bury the point in the log/ground past the bundle, hold firm and draw the ferro back off it right next to the handle, good sparkage exactly onto your bundle and no flying knife syndrome. And I reckon the reason that you've done 2 is going to make someone very happy 😂
It's the big brother of the BK2. I keep this knife in my winter disaster emergency kit here in Canada. It's perfect for chopping through solid ice or anything frozen. Be careful, you came pretty close to your best buddy there, sitting quietly beside you with the knife blade.
Not the sharpest tool in the box, but thats why we used to call them 'smashette's', when a new vehicle used to come in the tool box was raided for these things, as they were part of the utility kit back in the day, those knives saved a few knives in NI, as they were handy for levering bricks out so you could see if there was a booby trap behind a door.
Would like one for my collection. Any suggestions for getting one at a decent price? Don't mind previously owned. Live in South West UK. Some sites seem to charge a lot for one and, as allways suspicious of fakes online. Anyone has any suggestions greatfully helpful
Those British MoD knives are one and done until you get to the age you need lighter to carry I’ve seen a number of MODs that can be done to give you more utility in your needs I’ve seen soldiers hack away at bricks with them! Tough as hell Wouldn’t want to get struck in the head with either side of that blade ✌️
@@outsidertank I’ve seen people get their heads split with them using the backside of the that blade The British SAS are still fond of carrying these At least they were in my day Don’t know about today But they always did have to show off that they were tougher than us ✌️
