The 12000DF is the generator of choice for a home backup due to the low THD. I was fortunate to get mine from Lowe's back in April 2021 before they went out of stock.
Is there a kit for the non DF model to convert to DF?

Low THD was also the reason why we purchased this generator

The black wrap, a miniature race car for Daniela. I got faked out on the lifting of the box which I thought wow she is strong to lift the generator off the pallet.
