- Deep in the heart of the Italian Alps is adventure. Steve set out on an epic electric mountain bike ride across the Ligurian mountains to France, pushing the limits of his E-MTB's battery power and range. Accompanied by local guides and facing the threat of wolves, this was a real epic ride.

Fantastic! I am buying my first ebike as soon as I have time to pick it up. The closest store with a turbo levo comp is three hours away. I’m still trying to figure out what to buy for my wife. We plan to travel for epic rides together. Can’t wait! We live in the mountains of Pennsylvania. Lots of incredible riding opportunities.
Just stick a spare battery in your back pack (perfectly valid strategy for an ebike) and you can pedal the whole thing.
Steve & the crew simply one of your best so far.
Flabbergasted. Incredible scenery on high mountain trails, crazy long descents, huge climbs the intrigue of battery life, helpful locals, dangerous wildlife and of course, Italian cuisine. An amazing adventure and further proof that EMBN and the whole GMBN family are just the bee's knees.

You definitely should. I've put on some weight over the years too but now with an ebike I'm consistently getting 30-40km of trails in any given day! They're amazing for getting you out and active because they're a blast.
Im 27yo and weight 145kg... actually can’t stand on my bike more than 1h30 because my elbows are hurting so bad. Hoping than ebike can help me to ride more.

Roberto’s story is truly inspiring to me. Having been a mountain biker since the early days of the sport, I’m sitting here watching all your videos, while I recover from my 2nd hip replacement at the ripe old age of 46. Waiting to order my 2020 Turbo Levo and immerse myself in the e-bike world here in California. Roberto thanks mate - all up, I will have lost about two years without MTBing. But with my Levo, I will be more than making up for it in the near future.
Best biking channel. You guys crack me up and I really appreciate your approach to and advocacy of e-mountainbiking. Keep up the good work. I'm 69 yrs old and got my Haibike Sduro Full Nine about a year and a half ago and have never had more fun in 26 years of mountainbiking; even ascents are fun now.

Another dream trip; thanks. I’m 63, so love to see old guys on the mountain trails, in the bike park or the gym. I try for zero assist, but in the Colorado mountains I sometimes have to go to eco or trail. Okay, sometimes even boost. But zero assist everywhere on my 52lb bike is the goal
Great video and Steve's presentation was perfect (as usual). You might have overplayed the fear of wolves just a bit though, but then again we only have coyotes where I live. This is the type of video I enjoy most on your channel.
I'm not an eMTBer - yet - but videos like this are a huge inspiration. I'm currently stricken with Long Covid and have promised myself that if things don't improve by July (it's January 2021 when I write this) then I'm going to take the plunge. I miss being out in the hills and this looks like it could be my route to freedom.
I loved the landscape and trails round Molini and Steve makes for a very entertaining guide - such a natural presenter - but what I found most inspiring of all was the two eMTBers from Nice at the start of the film. Awesome.

The wolves usually avoid people, especially if they are on bikes, and e-bikes are not noisy for us, but they are very loud for wolves, so I am 99% sure they are more afraid of you than you of them hahahahah.
You would be so amazingly privileged to just get a glimpse of a wolf!

Amazing trails those two days, those ridges were amazing on the first day, but two batteries is a must! I found the trails on the Google Earth and pinned them, one day maybe, who knows :) Great video Steve, awesome stuff!

Amazing video looks like a real blast. Think it needs 2 batterys for such a ride atleast you can then enjoy the ride and not have to worry to much over battery power

Awesome video but I think was definitely a two battery trip. Carrying the second battery takes away all the worry of conserving juice.

If you're not used to it, riding at high altitude can be very tough. I don't own an emtb but I've taken my Trek Remedy to Austria 4 times. The first time I went I was full of myself thinking I was fit and could handle things but I was in for a rude awakening.
Technically I was fine, I could ride the terrain okay but climbing was another matter entirely. I just couldn't get enough breath into me, I was breathing hard but it just wasn't enough. I put it down to me not being as fit as I thought I was and it wasn't until my third ride out that it occurred to me that the air itself was thinner and that was why I found it so hard going.
I did acclimatise to it more though, I went a little bit farther each time but there's no getting away from it, unless you live and ride in the mountains all the time it's tough at altitude.
I'd dearly love to try it again on an emtb but sadly the money's not there🙁
What a trip and what a video - I thought Jeremy Clarkson had the best job in the world but I think Steve's takes some beating. Do you want to introduce your cameraman (Jack?) on one of the videos - he's doing a sterling job and needs to be recognised.. Loved this video and the people you rode with....
