Really liked the way you did the silver. Super quick and easy. Thank you.

At first, I thought your color choices were mad...however, in the end, the results speak for themselves. It looks very good. A nice alternative color scheme.

Nice tutorial on this and the Sector mechanicus! A nice straightforward process. Priming with army painter colors would possibly reduce the need for the airbrush step🙃

      Thanks, glad I can help!
Yeah I wanted to make the point that it's not too important how you get that base coat on, be it airbrush or spray, and the colour isn't too important, as long as you don't have too big a difference between the base coat and first drybrush :)

Ok, I don't know it someone will see this comment on an older video but: Did Citadel change the XV-88 colour? I really like the look of this terrain and I had a look at the paints in my FLGS, and XV-88 looks extremely brown, not at all like the yellow I see here? Or does it only look yellow through the camera/screen for some reason?

I think it's a combination of being applied over a very red/brown, making it look yellow in comparison, and my very strong LED lights so I can see all angles kind of blowing it out. The paint should still be the same recipe. Though I do have some old paints that I accidentally used in videos, making it hard for people to follow!

@@blacksailsstudio9238 Thank you so much for the reply!
I actually tested it in the meantime, and compared two small wall sections, one with XV-88 and on with Averland Sunset (which is very yellow) while keeping the rest the same. The difference is not as big as I would have imagined, but I like your recipe with the XV-88 a bit better. I'll be sticking to it, it's my favourite look for ruined buildings so far (much better than the grey and beige tones that are used so often) and it's fast and simple to!
Thanks for the video and the colour recipe ;)

It's a citadel base paint. Games Workshop will have it, or order online.

@@maxluker691 I was looking for Mournfang brown too. Apparently Army Painter Chaos Red is a close match!
