@@PaintingBaron I hope you will be making more videos. I love this Grimdark tutorial. More Grimdark or even realistic terrain or diorama painting techniques videos would be incredible! Thank you! Lisa
Can't wait to see more from you. In my (very humble) opinion, this is the most visually dynamic, yet grimdark terrain I've seen yet. Great stuff! WE NEED MORE... FEED US!!!
Great Job! Very nice production and beautiful scenery. The narration/instruction was concise but sounded natural and at ease. Im thinking English isnt your first language so double props. Pacing over all was good. Not a lot of ground breaking or new techniques to me but I've watched 8 or 10 other videos on this subject. Liked the listed paints you used and the level of detail on the techniques. You make it very accessible. All in all I'd recommend this video to a noob for terrain weathering before any others on the subject. Keep em coming!
Another reason for bare-metal chipping is the material of the object that is chipped; a classic example in military modeling is the mistake of chipping an M113 armored personnel carrier with beautifully-done rust stains. Unfortunately, the hull of the M113 is aluminum, which doesn't rust, so the chipped areas would either be bright metal or the whitish color of an oxidized layer on aluminum (which halts further corrosion).
Great video, would love to see each of the techniques in more detail, potentially a bit slower and closer up, so maybe focussed on base colours, weathering those, then metallics, weathering the metallics, like a mini series or something?
Really enjoyed the video. I think you need to show some real speed application of techniques so one can view the actual technique being applied. After a while I almost felt nauseous with the speed and movement of everything.
Thanks for taking these comments into consideration. I loved this video, but would really have appreciated some slower, more focused shots on the individual techniques. I have some painting experience and could mostly follow along with just the commentary, but there were a few times I would like to have seen exactly what and how you were doing them. Awesome 1st video, I have sub'd to your channel and look forwars to seeing future videos. Great stuff, thanks for sharing, and keep on keeping on!!
Thank you for a thorough video with a ton of useful information. Good timing too, since I’m trying to power through my first terrain project w’ the OG Warcry terrain. Don’t have all the material yet, like oil washes etc. But making decent results w’ what I have and even mixing some home brew washes... Keep up the great work, can’t wait for more content and see you on the other side!
Awesome stuff!!! Subscribed. If there are any chances for more grim dark battlezone manufactorum pieces then, please, do not hesitate and make them. :D
Fantastic video! Terrain looks great! Although it felt a bit quick if trying to follow some of the techniques so perhaps a video or two going into more depth on the use of oil washes and pigments :) i really want to try these out but no idea where to start 😅
As others mentioned, the speed of the video was a bit too fast and made this at times a bit hard to watch. However, this is still a fantastic video with a lot of great information - I can't wait to pick up a brush and get started on my own terrain backlog after watching this! I also checked out your Instagram and must say your terrain color schemes are great and your basing is absolutely top-notch; you couldn't go wrong with a follow-up video covering either of these areas
This is a brilliant video thank you. I didn't really have a use for that new terrain piece but after seeing this I've bought the alchomite stack to combine with it. I'm still a bit unsure what colour to do my scenery as I want to avoid a grey scheme.
Great terrain! Would like to know how you sealed it after applying the final metal highlights and pigment wash. If you didn't seal it, how do you keep them in place while playing?
Can you explain me how so could vallejo metal color line for airbrush be shitte in your opinion? I wonder if you could open me on new inventions, in this artistic region. Didn't use metallics for buff yet, although alcohol based like alklad 2(if I recall correctly) are very nice, but create some interactions with solvents, with that enforce some adjustments in processes are needed.
What color did you prime the terrain before starting with the blue? To me it looks like you airbrushed the base coat and maybe the mid tones, but in the video it says you stippled the mid tones. How did you get the blue and yellow to be so smooth?
Thanks, I will definitely take a slower approach in future videos. As for the tyranids, I'll definitely think about it. Might be cool to buy a box of gaunts and paint each in a different way.
For a video tutorial, it is better not to use an accelerated video, as it seems to me. The footage in real time would be more informative. But everything is cool! The painting is gorgeous!
My man really made 3 amazing terrain vids then vanished, honestly respect it
Best grimdark painting tutorial on terrain I have seen yet.
This is fantastic! A very impressive first video :) I look forward to seeing what else you make!
Thank you! That means a lot.
You're all over the internet Guy ;) Agreed though - very cool vid!

Great video! Everything looks amazing
Nice to see something other than rusty brown with silver dry brush
Super good. Stumbled across this by chance. Glad I did. Well done, really.
Really nice results ! Thx for sharing the tips
Best terrain in the business! Thanks for letting me along for the ride, buddy. Kiitos!

Thank you! I have a video about basing almost done and another one in the works. 🙂
Would love to see a follow up video for just the pipeworks. Love the blue metal look and would love to copy that on my own pipes.
Please do a short video on how you did the blue.
This is an incredibly high quality first entry! Painting, presentation, videography are great! Extremely impressive work on all counts.
Very nice execution. No new technics but solid explanation how you use them. Big like!
Excellent work.
Wow.this was awesome.I will be trying some of your techniques on my dark uprising terrain.please do more terrain videos.
Oh man I'd love to see some necromunda tiles ❤
Haven't watched the video yet, but damn that into looks so good, I'm liking RIGHT NOW!

looks absolutely dope man! Love it! Please make more ! :)
What a beautiful looking piece. Will definitely check out any future videos 👍
One of the best videos on terrain I have seen in a long time. Super inspiring. I am very much looking forward to your next videos.
Phantastisch!!! Daumen nach oben und ein Abo da gelassen.
Great video man, keep on going.
Dude that was amazing. Unworldly results and you can bet that I will use your technics on my terrain
This feels like a master class lesson of painting terrain. Thank you so much for sharing it with us! Your terrain looks insanely good!
Wow, dude! Amazing Work

Thanks for the feedback! The speed has now come up several time so that's definitely something I will improve on. Future stuff will be slower.

Really nice!
Great video of how the techniques interacted onto one terrain piece. I would be interested in videos that focus in on a technique or two.
Wow!
Just re-started painting thanks to WH40K Conquest Magazine and i really needed some video for the terrains, good job!
hooray for stuff that is neat
Awesome video!

Wow! Easy subscribe!
What terrain is this? Where can I get it from?
Great terrain! Would like to know how you sealed it after applying the final metal highlights and pigment wash. If you didn't seal it, how do you keep them in place while playing?
Can you do a video on the original paint scheme before the Grim dark look?
What kit(s) are those?
Very cool advice.
Thank you, liked and subscribed. Speed was too fast at times. Maybe slow it down at times to show details.

English is not my main language, I hope I gave some understandable questions xD
Vallejo metalica are tragic, but these for airbrush are cheap, very finely grinded, have great coverage and are easy for mixing with other ones.
What color did you prime the terrain before starting with the blue? To me it looks like you airbrushed the base coat and maybe the mid tones, but in the video it says you stippled the mid tones. How did you get the blue and yellow to be so smooth?
do tyranid paint schemes that aren't the coconut crab
edit: the speed of the video was a bit fast
Thanks, I will definitely take a slower approach in future videos. As for the tyranids, I'll definitely think about it. Might be cool to buy a box of gaunts and paint each in a different way.
a few drinky drinks may help with some of these techniques although i don't condone it

Of course, I meant close-up footage
I thought this vid was great
Lass das Video doch noch schneller laufen, dass man was mitbekommt. 🤦♂ Da bekommt man ja Augenkrebs. Schade, den aussehen tut es mega.
